Saddle maker Ben Geisler knows tradition is bigger than something preserved by the past: it’s something the present demands. As much as he strives to honor the heritage of Western craftsmanship, he knows the real test is how his saddles stand up to a hard day’s work. Stitching, punching, and cutting till his hands ache, late hours perfecting his time-tested technique-it’s all worth it to know h...

Are you a brick layer moonlighting in leather works? 😅looks great love it!
I’ve made three leather belts for myself in my lifetime. All by hand, no machines. My first one was in High School and the third I just made four years ago. They’re the only belts I’ve ever worn. BTW, I’m 62 years old and I believe the belt I made a few years ago will out last me….i hope.
❤
Bravo grande artigiano 🧑🎨 di palle
Do you do saddle restoration?
Master Craftsman.
Beautiful belt….wish I had one like that!
I sell them everyday, don't let your dreams be dreams.
Из какой стали топорик? Где купить?
That dime he destroyed was worth at least 2 dollars.
It was two dimes, but I think I'll financially recover from the loss.
@ the point was, it was a 90% silver dime. Coin shops sell them for around $2. I have about 60 of them.
Sensacional, parabéns .
My aunt started a "mop n broom" business during the war while her man was off fighting.had bigass machines like that.sewed with 1/16 ench sting.sewed right through her thumb one time.
Good work! And I like your attitude
I like that video best yet!! Nice bit of eye candy too!😉
What width belt is this?
1-1/2"
What a beautifull piece of art. What is the type of stamps what you use in this particular case?
The stamps in this video were made by Barry King.
Beautiful work, worth every penny it costs. You cheap bastards that think they are expensive, go buy the junk they sell in the chain western wear stores made in china, and shut up………..👍👍🇨🇱🇨🇱
Great job bro ...
Absolutely!
Taping the back of the leather before you stipple it has me curious? Does that maintain the look of the leather on the backside?
It keeps the leather from stretching directionally while I stamp it.
This company just had an IPO. Can buy the stock. Stock symbol CASK.
Fabulous work! 😮😊

Интересно какая получилась толщина ремня? На мой взгляд примерно 6 мм? Основная полоса около 4 - 4.5 мм и подкладка 1,5-2 мм.
~5.0mm-6mm
That was the most peaceful 16 minutes I've spent in a long time. I wanna come sit in your workshop and write one day while you work. Well done, man. It's really beautiful. Would be so proud to wear something made with such skill and artistry.
Beautiful job!
Can i get a jab hear?
that belt in black cherry would be, damn!
A buddy of mine had a Mexican style belt and buckle made that cost him almost 2k. It's a little too pricey for me, but my God, it's a beautiful belt and buckle. He's a white guy but he's from Texas and moved to California.
No words, a master of his craft. Bravo 👏🏻
Thats the Holk sewing machine
thank you brother
That was craftmanship on display✨️🤌 id love to know the price of this belt id love to have several of my own well done !
My belts start at $250USD, with custom made screws as pictured you're looking at $300USD+
Funny you made the comment about the fingernail...I have a gnarled little finger and often when tooling, it drags the leather. I had to resort to putting a small piece of a latex glove on that finger and hold it with tape.
I see this video is from 2 years ago so I don't know if this will get to you. I have put a twist the same way as shown before seeing this, without trimming the inside leather, but trimming the inside stirrup leather sure helps the process. Thanks for the valuable tip.
Like watching a machine.
Really beautiful work .
Do you create items other than saddles and belts ?
I can make about anything, but I can't make everything. I take on other projects as time and my interests allow.
Leather are strong
What is your suggestion for leather edge sanding process for mass production. Thank you
