Everyday Leather Challenge - How Often Do We Really Use Leather?
Leather works because it's versatile, durable, and sustainable. We constantly hear that "vegan leather" is the future, but what could be more responsible than using the by-product of the meat industry to make a material that supports every part of our day? Check out more info @isitleather to make sure you surround yourself with the most sustainable choice: real leather.

Saddle maker Ben Geisler knows tradition is bigger than something preserved by the past: it’s something the present demands. As much as he strives to honor the heritage of Western craftsmanship, he knows the real test is how his saddles stand up to a hard day’s work. Stitching, punching, and cutting till his hands ache, late hours perfecting his time-tested technique-it’s all worth it to know h...

Beautiful work!
That is a beautiful cylinder arm machine!
Man I love what you do bud!!
That knife is sharper than my vision..
🙏👍😊🇮🇳
Just found this. Subscribed! Loved the sound of the tools!
I think that’s the sharpest knife I’ve ever seen. Hot damn
We need more of this. Respect!
Basket náročný vzor super
It would be helpful to see close up on the tooling as you work.
Now that's a sewing machine.
Стоимость такого ремня?
Hi, How much does this belt cost and where can I buy one? Maik.
Four years late to this party but I found it really useful! Thanks Ben.
I am a huge leather fan! Amen brother. Nothing replaces hide and cotton.
Wow! The belt is incredible! But those screws and the mercury dime is off the hook great!! My first thought was what are you doing to that silver dime. Then saw it was being made a screw. Then thiught i wish it was mint. After seeing, the worn look on the dime was perfect! Makes it look so genuine. Well done!!!!
VERY NICE INDEED
ola meu nome e rafael nery mendonca eu estou abrindo uma compania de roupas eu gostaria de fazer trocas de mercadorias com voce
Wow🎉onderfull hard work🎉supper
The packaging is great. As far as the whiskey, the aftertaste it’s like you’re eating something green not my taste for others it may be good.
So I go scrolling through facebook and see my old basic training PG drinking whiskey. I hope you're doing well my guy.
Mate, thanks for that. I have been a Saddlemaker for over 52 years here in Australia. I do things a little different to you, but the same result really. I could feel your challenges in trying to get various points across to folk scrabbling with the whole sharpening deal. It isn't easy, but you did well. Take care of yourself, Lad. Regards, Peter.
what type of leather is used for stamping.
Veg tanned leather because chrome tanned leathers don't have the rigidity to stamp and tool them.
Thanks i am frome Ethiopia East Africa how can i get this tanned leather here in Ethiopia?
Cool design.. you might want to minimize the commentary
سلام ممكن أن تساعدني كي أعمل معاكم
👍 craftsman is the correct term.
The exact video I needed!
Мастер!
Thank you for sharing with us ! Learned a lot more than just how to hit that stitch perfectly at the tip. I really appreciate your comments on Craftsmanship. Feeling both inspired and encouraged to be pursuing this work
Wanna tease you a bit, and it has nothing to do with the subject of the video (love the content!). I thought you'd be a "square it up first" kinda guy, but look at the photo frames. Why didn't you level the camera?
Beautiful!
Been trying to learn this technique for quite some time. It helps alot! Thank you
That’s a lot.. watcha making?
Nothing like the smell of leather ! especially when I'm creating any of the mentioned things , Thank you for sharing 🐂
Thanks for the video.
I’m selling 90%of my guns and going to buy a leather sewing machine I’m looking at the Tandy’s cowboy manual which is cheaper than electric, belts and Bible carrying cases and Costers is what I make mostly I don’t think electric is what I need what do you think? I’ve hand stitched for years I’m 63 now hands are tired I made a big stitching Horse the manager at Tandy said lol he likes it.
A manual machine will cost 80% of what a powered machine does but with none of the advantages. Manual machines are slow, hard to dial in, and don't hold their value. If you're dead-set on one, you can find them used without too much trouble. People buy them, realize that they should have bought a powered machine and then recoup as much as they can. I'd recommend looking at something like a Cowboy 3200. It may seem like more than you need, but you'll be a lot happier with it and it'll hold its value well if you ever decide to sell it.
Wonderful video and so true. You should tell congress how important leather and the meat industry is to everyone. God Bless
insane, masterpiece

Great work, where do you find the thread barrels you welded on the dimes? Are do you grind the head off a Chicago screw. Nice shop also! Greg
