    Ben, your videos are a treasure. Having someone with real experience should be viewed more. BUT the internet takes time and trickery to build awareness of your offering. I think a LOT of people would appreciate your experience.
    Good luck man. Hope you're doing well.

    Ben , I’ve stumbled across this video & have to compliment you on the way you have explained your technique. I’ve only been Leather crafting a short time as a retirement hobby, & it’s given me confidence in what I’m doing. Your comments about expectations regarding the standard of work produced is comforting. As a retired aircraft system engineer I was beating myself up as to what my Leathercraft standard was. I can see the faults, but as my wife says...... if you want total perfection you shouldn’t be in leather. Love your work. Thanks

    I have an antique belt stripper and I don't know how to use it. Could you demonstrate how. They seem different than the new ones.

    Hi Ben just to say i am learning a lot from your videos. I have recently started making leather dog/cat collars. I would love to see a video of how to attach buckles and rivets accurately as i think collars are not that much different from belts really (if you know what i mean) Kinda the same process. Also thank you for the advice of not trying to be such a perfectionist as i am. It drives my husband up the wall, like he keeps saying the customer is not even going to see what i can see (flaws and things im not overly happy with ha ha) Again thank you so much for the very informative videos. Kind regards Tracy from UK

      My advice on accurately placing buckles/ rivets is to make a template for each width belt/collar that you make. Once you have the template worked out, your work will get a lot more consistent.

    Hi. Love this videos.Awesome. But, you didn't show how you put the liner on or did I miss something?😀

    • @BMGeisler

      I didn't film the lining process, but it's just a matter of cementing it on oversized and trimming to fit after stitching. The liner doesn't go full length- it stops at the middle of the buckle slot.

    Excellent Video! What's the difference between the yellow and white saddle soap?

    • @BMGeisler
      @BMGeisler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest difference is that the yellow will occasionally leave color on your leather whereas the white will not. As to the exact difference in formulation that would be for Fiebings to answer.

    Thanks for all the tips. Where can I find the mitt you are using to burnish ? Thanks

      I made it myself out of a couple of pieces of canvas. There’s a link in the notes section of this video where you can buy the canvas, the wax, and the soap all in one convenient package.

    Do you go over the stamping tools you use or is that one of the trade secrets like some say ?
