    I have the Maxxair vent fan with remote that is also reversible. It is the best upgrade I added to our trailer. It was easy to install. We’ve used the 78° open feature many times and it works flawlessly. The main thing with the built in rain cover is I’ve left it on and open while driving down the road on hot and rainy days with no water leakage and a wonderful job of pulling heat out of our trailer. It’s also very quiet while running

    I’ve always liked these rain covers on max fans, as a opposed to just the rain sensor function. It’s a real drag not having ceiling ventilation when cooking on rainy day/nights! I’ve always wondered why manufacturers don’t install them as a standard feature on ALL class vehicle models, as oppose to purchasing them as an after-factory item !?
    Greats to see videos again from the Dynamic Duo…Cheers as always 🥂🖖🏼

    nice video yes I have to agree they are Rolls-Royce of rv fans I just installed a second one yesterday made it big difference now I can have one set on air in and one air out on automatic mode and keep the place a lot cooler when we're not here fans i got the Maxxiair deluxe fans are fully power open and close and fully remote and with them closed on circulate the air the air conditioning move round a lot more efficient and is a lot cooler we live full time and a Rockwood 3008 windjammer

    Thank you for your detail write up and video. Helped me make my decision. I decided on the MaxxAir that does not have all the whistles and bells, Maxxair Vent Corp 00-06401K Maxxfan DLX Vent and the price drops down to $187.84 and ordered 2 units and might order 2 more for another project. After you saying condensation is causing the electronics to go haywire, sometime simple is better "KISS", I can live with 4 speeds and put in a 3 way switch to reverse polarity to get it to blow and suck excuse the pun. I was at Dillion Van Expo and was hoping to visit but didn't see you. Keep up the good stories.

      Hi Keith - you may still want/need to coat the board because the fan controls are what shorted on ours.

    My van is long enough that I have two Maxxair fans. One has a remote, since it's only reachable by climbing onto the bed. As a full timer, it's great to have airflow when rain makes it difficult to open doors and windows. While cooking I have one blowing in while the other exhausts.

    We have this same fan on our three year old Class B van. It is great, but be forewarned that ours is having a problem with the Automatic Lift Operator Mechanism and the part is not available anywhere. It is back ordered, even at the manufacturer. We have been able to clean and lubricate to help, but it still is not operating correctly. We hope the part will become available soon.

    • @Weretherussos
      @Weretherussos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fan we got has the manual lift - as long as you’re able to reach the knob, this eliminates those types of problems.

    Ausome upgrade, do the new fans add much height to the already tall vehichle.?

    • @Weretherussos
      @Weretherussos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not really. Unless you don’t have anything on the roof (which is unlikely) it only sticks up a few inches when in the down position.

    No they shouldn’t. You’re lucky if it lasts a year. $250 lemon mine was. Didn’t move nearly the amount of air a Fantastic fan does. Operator mechanism is made out of cast aluminum garbage…doomed to fail, and the gearbox leaks oil. Had both replaced under warranty the first year. Year 2 gearbox leaked oil still, and the main circuit board failed after it started having a mind of it’s own.
    The circuit board thing is a known issue they wouldn’t stand behind. Their tech support guy Dale Cox, is rude.
    Would be interested to hear how yours holds up on down the road if you keep your rig that long.

    If the board has moisture issues the company should have coated them at the factory....JUNK!
