I think his main problem is that he thinks hes still the same player from SF2 days and over values himself and thinks hes good enough to compete with the better players in ranked games.
Justin Wong just released his SF6 tierlist video. Blanka he ranked tier 2 (second best), saying that while Blanka is a good char, the player needs to use all of Blanka's tools to do well at a competitive level.
This ain't no competitive level though. DSP is farming most of his wins off people not knowing the matchup and not adapting fast enough to his gimmicky mash play.
10:30 - That wasn't a mistake. The player was apparently anticipating a jump from Blanka and was going air to air, but that's not what Phil did. What does he do? He frames this incredible excuse, like he knows what the player wanted to do, to lessen the blow of the "L" he took. Never change, Phil 👍🏿
Now this is some glorious salt. Street Fighter 6 brings out the toxicity that few games can. Every hit, every counter, every punish, every loss is a personal slight against his ego.
And Phil thinks we don't want him to play Street Fighter 6. This game is the biggest source of laughs and salt we've had in a long time. I ONLY want him to play SF6.
I'M NOT GETTING OUTPLAYED, I'M NOT LOSING IN SKILL, WAAAAH, YOU AREN'T EARNING THOSE WINS, PATTERN PLAYS, I HAVE FUNDAMENTALS YOU DON'T HAVE!!! REEEEE!!! This is why he doesn't play offline, ever. He'd either be quiet as fuck IRL with half of excuses missing, or he'd get decked in the gout sacks.
I do love the narrative that he puts about how detractors makes video about him playing Street Fighter to make him look like he is a bad player. No DSP, those videos are made to show how much of a toxic and salty person you are, they do show you win sometimes and I concede you have some skills in fighting games but it's how your reaction are child-like when you win or lose. It's about your attitude, nothing more nothing less.
I have a question for people that have actually watched his streams: has he ever practiced his meatys in training mode? If he really had them he wouldn’t be losing to jab but we know that Phil doesn’t know basic fighting game vocabulary.
Phil is awful at every game he plays. Tears of The Kingdom, "can't find monster parts" same guy refused to explore the game's open world to find said monster parts.
Watch his streams long enough and you’ll easily realize he hates what he does for a living , it’s just easier than finding a real job. He’d rather compromise any semblance of dignity he may have just so he can hold a controller and beg every 15 minutes for a tip. It’s pathetic. He does however practice wwe champions off stream.
The only thing he does that counts as "practice" is going into training mode, doing some "tech" that he "saw" on TH-cam (or rather, a paypig told him about) for 5-10 minutes, decides he's mastered it and leaves training mode to go play ranked.

"You just played pattern!"
Those are called combos, grandfather.
You know he's played opponents in the past that are like 10 or 11 years old that he calls scrubs.
I just find that hilarious.
Ken is a detractor 😭
"nothing interesting, nothing special" now where have I heard that before....oh right, Dale.
Somebody needs to teach this kid the definition of literally.
Blanks literally had the best corner defense in a game where corner pressure is extremely powerful.
Of course pig roach would fuck it up.
"CaN't Do AnYtHiNg!" ... as he stands up and literally presses buttons
"She jumped by accident!!" as if someone couldnt intentionally jump to execute a move, and you were going for a wake up SA at the same time..
DSP is the guy who tries to build a two story house without pouring a foundation
3:46 this jamie combo is awesome haha surprised he didnt say it was cheap or something
He will in the lvl0 podcast
I love how he pretends to know what the other Player was trying to do
10:30 - That wasn't a mistake. The player was apparently anticipating a jump from Blanka and was going air to air, but that's not what Phil did.
What does he do? He frames this incredible excuse, like he knows what the player wanted to do, to lessen the blow of the "L" he took.
Never change, Phil 👍🏿
That Jamie bagging was inspirational
Ken gave DSP the Banana he so desperately craved, not sure why he is complaining.
His dents will make it up to him in his next viewer lobby. They'll put some oinkment on that butt hurt.
I'm glad Phil is losing and is upset. His Blanka is just spamming same moves. It's not fun to watch
Hes fanning the trolls with palm leaves and hand feeding them grapes at this point
"I already won!" - Phil Burnell
"I cant block" the ken keeps getting punish counters, tho...
He speaks so much about fundamentals and yet doesnt know the best buttons to press for his main, let alone bnbs.
Complains about pattern play and broken characters.
Uses Blanka and hasnt learned a new combo in a whole month.
You NEVER change Phil.
I love the exact moments when he starts panicking
I do love the narrative that he puts about how detractors makes video about him playing Street Fighter to make him look like he is a bad player. No DSP, those videos are made to show how much of a toxic and salty person you are, they do show you win sometimes and I concede you have some skills in fighting games but it's how your reaction are child-like when you win or lose. It's about your attitude, nothing more nothing less.
Exactly sound good? Snort*
"This is trash gameplay!"
Yes DSP, I agree that your gameplay is trash.
I have a question for people that have actually watched his streams: has he ever practiced his meatys in training mode? If he really had them he wouldn’t be losing to jab but we know that Phil doesn’t know basic fighting game vocabulary.
He doesn't even practice while looking for matches
18:56 lmfao that edit had me dying 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣
