No need to disconnect the drive shaft from rear end, correct?im currently in the middle of installing a flip kit and kinda having a hard time as it is my first time.
@@lreverxnce on a flip kit the smaller the shackle is the more lift it will get. Spring end toward the ground. If I go spring up upwards toward the bed it will lower it more. Im already using a 1 inch shackle. My only other alternative would be to get a half inch shackle like the Belltech 6404

are you really suggesting customers remove wiring loom and push it into a crevice where its guaranteed to corrode, get road debris etc? Sorry, but they are better off zip tying the wiring harness to the brake line etc. thats really lousy advice, especially for a 25 year old truck
I recommend having a beer or a bowl, whatever your preference is, after you drill the holes..
I prefer a beer and blunt🤷🏻♂️
I remember the good ole days working at traders and having competitions seeing who could get these done the fastest.

I have a question not sure if anyone can answer, I lowered my truck but my drive train is not straight does anyone know how to make it straight ?
Is it to low drive everyday. I'm thinking about doing the same to mine but it's my daily driver
Depends on your roads, I live in so cal and ours arent terrible considering the amount of traffic, I could drive mine everyday if I wanted to.
Why would you make the frame notch so high you can't fit wire loom in there. A quarter inch less of clearance isn't going to hurt anything
As much clearance as possible is better than not enough. Especially if you still use it as a truck
Should of welded the c notch
Where you guys are located ?
Exactly what my baby looks like.
I did a flip kit on my 96 ext cab truck. 5.inches in the rear without a notch but it bumps bad. What can I add to go up another inch?
Replace your shackles with one inch lift shackles and you’re good!
@@lreverxnce 1 inch on a flip kit would drop it another inch.
@@atxjax1 it’s not a flip kit? It’s the shackles, there’s 2 inch drop shackles and 1 inch lift shackles so that’s your go to... you welcome

@@atxjax1 then you’d get the oem ones back on with some lowering shocks and extenders you won’t hit again
what rims are those
What about the drive shaft it doenst affect it
the reason the new ubolt plate has that offset hole is so it lines up your axle rearward to account for the new driveshaft angle
@@dalton-at-work do have any pics of how the new angle should be
@@albertybarra7968 in general the imput and outputs should be parralel.... but all the brand name flip kit brackets should line it up for you

Where’s part.2. ??
My only gripe is not wrapping the wires in electrical tape. Or shrink tubing if possible.
