They're just following the weak policies and procedures that are given to them. Nobody wants to get into trouble. Blame the goons who run these departments and take bribes from pro-crime oligarchs.
When they do these pit manoevres, why do the Police hang back so far? It's obvious he's going to drive off again with all that space around him. With all their cars, they could surround him, with guns drawn. Even if the bloke is armed, they have more guns and could shoot if he aims at any of them! Many criminals are armed. Nobody wants to be strapped in a chair 10 feet away from the guy who doesn't care if he hits people with his car. The goal is to stop the guy without any casualties. If he opens fire the police in the back need to be ready to follow him that distance away gives you time to react, and if the criminal is making a u-turn to keep going down the road the police in the back can gain speed faster than the criminal can.
CHP has taken driver in custody who led LAPD and CHP on a pursuit since the 11am hour. K-9 helped to get suspect into custody, who was sitting in car not complying with commands. All SB 5 lanes are blocked UFN, but pursuit is over now in Camp Pendelton area.

Dangerous when all these retained vehicles are going to hit the road again.
Totally agree! But there are some states that don’t put up with it. Arkansas State Police are fantastic. They will PIT anywhere between 35 to almost 100 miles an hour on interstates or even two lane roads! California is a different story all together!
Don't lump all American law enforcement in that group. Los Angeles is a very liberal city, and in the past, the LAPD developed a terrible reputation for aggressively pursuing suspects and even shooting at vehicles they were pursuing. I don't recall if innocent bystanders were killed or if the city council just decided to reign in the police, switching to a "kindler and more gentle" protocol. I don't know the regulations nationwide, but in my state, they police will back off when there is heavy traffic or the suspect leads them through residential areas. If the suspect is considered dangerous, they will continue the pursuit.

That was an absolute waste of 2hr and 16 min. Thanks for fast forward and also thanks that i don't live in LA. I guess there is no other crime there as it seems the whole force was after this guy. The dog or tear gas or rubber bullets or real ones for that matter may have worked. Why have those resources if you're not using them?
Embarrassing. CHP wouldn't last through one chase as Arkansas Highway Patrol. Seems their policy is to end a chase in 15 minutes. Even if it requires a head-on to stop the chase.
suspect was enjoying controlling the law enforcement team. no matter how long he delayed and enjoyed that moment, he would still get the same charges, no more than that.
What stupid cops pitted his ass so many times even crashed into him and still he got away for 2 hours and title says 3 hours what a waste of time those cops should be demoted to foot patrol after this incident happened
I got bored in between so I set playback speed to 2x and now... its a bit more fun. Play NFS Most Wanted 2005's police chase music in the background too xD
No respect is shown for general population/taxpayers and their time and responsibilities by waiting unnecessarily. There were couple of failed pit maneuvers with 3 cop-cars ; one pit the suspect but the other two cop-cars are simply watching without getting involved?!? How incompetent's is that?!?
I don't know how many times I can say pathetic?? Who the hell trains these cops on how to drive? They spin the dude out multiple times and yet all they care about is their Crowne Vic paint job. When he starts driving away you use your push bar and go head on. I'll say it again...pathetic.
California is so stupid, it takes 257 police cars and 57 helicopters and they chase the guy for 2 hours. Watch the Arkansas videos, it's takes 1 cop and about 10 minutes , they will pit a guy at 130mph.

@@seekingwisdom8 Liberals, dont you think we should stop and talk this out ? By the way, what gender do you identify as just so i dont offend you as im trying to stop you from killing someone .
They need to spend $.50 on the bullet in the chase. How many pedestrians do we let him paralyze?
It always amazes me that in so many video's the cops leave a gap for the driver to get through....
"Block him in" That third police officer was a little late take action. More close to the second police car and block off his possiblity to flee.
Save your time and just catch the highlights, I've fast forward so you don't have to.
0:05 First opportunity to end this but we got a show to produce.
2:01 Again lets end this, lol!
3:00 Should have just fired a few shots through the windshield, and end this. Also, the third cop should have drove around and plowed him.
3:45 Another chance for the cops to plow him down.
1:10:00 Perfect time for the cop to fly up on the driver's side and pop a few rounds through the driver's side window.
1:43:45 He pulls over, the next half hour is nothing more than the reporter flapping the gums. Half hour of nothing, guy sitting in car, all the cops standing around watching? Helicopter flies away, no arrest, nothing more to this Reality TV Show. Refuses to get out, fire a smoke bomb?
They need to get traffic moving, people want to get home. Don't know why they don't use the Wheel Grappler, show would have been over 2 1/2 hours ago, or more.

Ok me see you cor
Me 2: 4
he came all the way to oc😂😂😂
So just shoot the driver for what? Running away from the cops? Yeah we see who’s not happy with life
The criminal turned out to have the best car driving experience!
This should be a Honda commercial reliability pushed to all limits🤣
To many stupid restrictions on the police need to stop the assailant as fast as they can before some one get hurt or killed
"That was a successful pit manuever"...uh,no,it actually wasn't..lol.
A successful pit maneuver is spinning the vehicle. That is what happened. 4 times.
30 Cops scared of one guy in a car.......The whole state of California paralyzed on the highway because of one dude in a broken down Honda.......What a bunch of cowards.
These police officers are sorry 🤦🏽♂️ when you pit someone use your cars to block the rear and front 😂🤦🏽♂️ that’s SoCal for you
Im agree that u are an good Reporter 🌞
This guy sounds like the Californians on SNL. "Take the 405 to marina del rey." 🤣
How many times did the cops have a chance to end the chase? They spun him around using the pit manouver, then he drives off again.
Each pit by the first officer was followed by the other officers becoming spectators, instead of finishing him off. I would hope LAPD/CHP would review these videos and use them for remedial training. This particular vid should have only been ten minutes long or less.
Legend has it he still there in the car
lmfao
What a joke. Driver would have been in jail for 2 hours if he tried this in Arkansas. ASP don’t play.
Tune in next week for the conclusion.
Whenever the live feed is labeled ‘viewer discretion advised” my six, eight and eleven year old boys get excited,
When are the cops start to learn.
4:01 Hit and run and suspect 🤣🤣🤣
suspect was enjoying controlling the law enforcement team. no matter how long he delayed and enjoyed that moment, he would still get the same charges, no more than that.
This would’ve only lasted 10 minutes if it were in Arkansas. This is ridiculous.
What stupid cops pitted his ass so many times even crashed into him and still he got away for 2 hours and title says 3 hours what a waste of time those cops should be demoted to foot patrol after this incident happened
HERE IN FLORIDA THEY DON'T WAIT THAT LONG. HE WOULD'VE BEEN ARRESTED IN A HEART BEAT.
I got bored in between so I set playback speed to 2x and now... its a bit more fun. Play NFS Most Wanted 2005's police chase music in the background too xD
lol

: uhh
Why the police did not go closer to the suspect? Is a waste of time.
Don't waste your time watching this. I fell asleep twice and once it was showing a senate meeting, several blue screens and finally NO ENDING.
Looks like it is a show because how stupid the police not to box the car when he stopped.
For those who didn't get to see the ending, they gave him a ticket for blocking an intersection.
that's all they gave him wow things you make you say f***
😅😂
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Hey CBsays - 1. Your response is NOT funny! 2. Do you (ahem) "fib" much in daily life, too?!? 3. Ehhh?
@@KAMSHetvideos Welcome to Planet Earth. First order of business is to learn to SPEAK & WRITE English
Lapd weak af, hows nobody going to box him in🤦🏿♂️
No respect is shown for general population/taxpayers and their time and responsibilities by waiting unnecessarily.
You're right about that. Pathetic. A SWAT team with a rifle could stop him in a minute.
Worst coverage ever
The Arkansas police would of had this done in under an hour. They mean business there. Pits at 100 mph. No problem.
Couldn't they just shoot tear gas in the car?
California is so stupid, it takes 257 police cars and 57 helicopters and they chase the guy for 2 hours. Watch the Arkansas videos, it's takes 1 cop and about 10 minutes , they will pit a guy at 130mph.
