HMG emplacement has been my absolute favorite stratagem since the very beginning. I don't care about "practicality" or "strength" (although it does actually cover both of those very well), it just feels soooo good to lay down hundreds of rounds of hatred nonstop into a horde of enemies and watch them all fall over each other.
Get em background gaming! I struggle with these load outs because i always use them in groups and then they are on cooldown together, leaving a vulnerable time waiting....
Yeah what i do to combat this issue is use the autocannon or the rocket sentry in a fight and not together because if you lose the fight you are out of options to comeback from it, on top of that, if you do win the fight, you have the other sentry if you get into another fight before the sentry you used finishes its cooldown On top of that i would actually recommend taking the machine gun instead of the gatling, the main reason is because of the cooldown the machingun sentry has a 120sec cooldown instead of the gatlings 180sec, allowing you to spam it without care, also allowing it to work more like a distraction that and actual sentry The debate of the machinegun vs gatling only really work when they are the only sentry on your loadout, in a sentry focused loadout the gatling last too little and has too long of a cooldown to really work (Sorry for my yapping, I’m very passionate about sentrys since they my favorite way to play 😅)
Great run! They need to buff modules period especially for effort you have to put in. I would like a personal shield so they can be stronger versus bots as well
When did the rocket sentry become so good and how was it ignored for so long? I seem to recall that the last explicit buff was underwhelming, as in it still under-performed the autocannon sentry by a lot. Out of nowhere, I tried it as a meme and realised it did work for a long time.
If anyone answers better I'll take it too but what I use so far is. If you have to climb to reach it then you can't place it. So anything you can walk up to so small ledges or long rocks etc will allow but ones you have to climb or scale or bug run up it won't let you.
Rockets have more ammo and are better against armor. Imo they're the better option but you have to be careful of friendly fire and getting ragdolled by the backblast.

Range and ammo, people don’t remember but the autocannon has a range of 85m and the rocket one has a range of 100m doesn’t seem like a lot but you can feel the difference ingame and it is very noticible About the ammo, the autocannon may kill something faster but because it shoots in burts it overshoots all the time, on top of having the slowest turning rate of all the sentrys, on the other hand the rocket sentry shoots one rocket at a time so it kills things like bile titans and chargers slower but it doesn’t overshoot nearly as much, and completely destroys medium units because of that since it can kill one unit and then quickly change to another target TLDR the rocket is better at long range giving it the most time to shoot before enemies reach it, the autocannon is better at medium range SPECIALLY at choke points, since it the reduces how much it needs to move to change targets and therefore reduces its biggest issue that is its rotation speed
You'd be surprised how many people dont give a crap about your loadout, as long as you dont bring airburst, clusters, mortar and 380 all in one go i dont think people would mind 😂

"turrets struggle taking out heavier enemies", 5 seconds later: "these 2 turrets are great at killing heavier enemies" You did NOT need to take the recoilles rifle. Should've taken the sterilizer and liberator concussive or something like that. This video was not for me, did not finish, the premise just made no sense and didn't get me invested.
The HMG Emplacment really shreds all types of bugs now since the last patch
Also shreds almost every bot there is too.
Only thing it doesn't do much against is Factory Striders and Barrage Tanks, but they shred everything else. Great for offense or defense

The person who calls down the Supplies needs to have Superior Packaging upgrade or you will not get a full ammo on Support Weapons.
I did not know it’s whoever calls it in needs the ship upgrade. Thanks I’ve been wondering why that happens randomly for the longest time :)
The cooldown reductions also apply from the caller, which is also why you want maxed players calling it.

I’d definitely recommend servo assisted for this build, enhances the effectiveness of your sentries with more liberty over their placement
You should try this loadout again now that all the sentries have reduced cooldowns! Especially the MG Turret being almost a minute long cooldown.

If you want to stay with your turret. The safest place is climb on top of the turret. No friendly fire and better field of view.

Been pleasantly surprised with thr rocket sentry. It lasts for long enough to feel quite reliable.
I'd like to see them add a grenade launcher sentry with selectable grenade types.

There is wick point in the legs you can kill them with the normal guns you don't need to shot with anti tank

Quick question. When I try to place my sentries on rocks like he does they usually bounce off. How can I fix this?

Rocket velocity is quite a bit slower, to the point you can see it visually. Rockets do a bit more damage and imo auto cannon runs dry quicker
