Nice! Ive been looking for ideas for focusing on using Patriot. The Orbital Napalm Barrage was a huge help, cuz the mech suit is immune to fire on the ground, so you can throw it in a heavy nest and just waltz right in.
You do need to be careful of stepping on teammates with an exosuit, but your teammates should always give a suit a wide berth. If you are constantly running around the feet of or standing behind someone in an mech, you are eventually gonna get squished, that's just how it is.
they are good but them being limited to 2 uses limits their potential, basically they have a hard cap on how much value they can generate whereas other strategems can deliver pretty much infinite value, even the orbital laser who is limited to 3 uses can deliver more value when the enemies are clumped up whereas the mech you have a fixed amount of ammo so there's only so much it can kill. Also they are pretty much only useable against bugs only as bots have way too much BS to kill a mech super quickly.
Always liked patriot. Just don't end up using it much. I always felt the machinegun ammo could stretch pretty far, and with the nerfs to heavies, the rockets do more as well. One of the better strategies for it I've found is to take double, or even triple eagles. Spam the hell out of them, and when it's time to put them on cooldown, call in the patriot since you can't use stratagems inside it anyway. When it's done or gets scrapped you have full eagles available.
I’ve been using mechs for like 4 weeks straight, and I’ve been thinking of ideas of ways to improve mech pilot builds without being OP, I think Arrowhead should consider bunkers carrying a re supply package that you can carry (similar to artillery shells) to your mech and load your mech with more ammo…considering bunkers are somewhat scarce, I think it’ll level the paying field a bit for a mech build 😀 and maybe one day, we will have a repair tool secondary of some sort but idk, ammo re supply in bunkers for mechs would be perfect for me
I've found that strafing in circles is good while focused on shooting targets in one direction, because it will kill any small bugs and lots of hunters that might have snuck up on you quickly enough to barely take any damage on the mech.
I'd like to raise a counter argument: the mech suit is supposed to be a temporary platform of high-grade, concentrated power that wasn't meant to be conserved, the point of the mech suit is to provide heavy firepower for a short to moderate span of time, for the purpose of a focused attack on a certain point(s) of interest/targets. Once you're done with it you're supposed to ditch it and do the rest with your normal setup. I'd suggest that's why they only have a limited amount of ammo without resupply capabilities, and the reason why you can call down two within one game.
Ive recently started using them and they have cemented themselves in a common but very specific role. You call them in when things go to shit In my experience you should expect the tide turning against you once or twice per mission, even on an otherwise good one. It can take a lot of reinforcements and time to regain mometum, so the exosuits overwhelming firepower and actual toughness can change the tide of battle and open opportunities to progress the objective, especially when coordinating with teammates.
i also remember the exo rockets taking 2-3 for chargers, maybe they gave them the same properties as the recoiless, so one headshot is enough i remember one mission we all brought exo, and cycled through them in pairs as we used them up, it was glorious xD
I generally pick each weapon like you do. "Okay this primary is for this job, secondary covers this job, support, etc etc" but if there are 2 bug holes left on a mega nest, you can bet your sweet bippy I'm firing some recoiless rockets at those things
Yeah, I think the animation of the impaler tentacles is locked in as soon as they burrow. I've killed them in the time between before, and the tentacles still attacked once before immediately retracting,
I fell like the Exosuits are way weaker on bots since they can gun it down so fast and its also a big target to shoot. Since bugs focus more on being up close and personal, its way easier to stomp em.
The only buff I want is for the stomp. Currently, the end-lag of the stomp makes you extremely vulnerable, since the damage the exosuit does just by walking is what defends it against smaller enemies and you can't walk for a solid second and then some after stomping. Either the stomp should actually function as a step, letting you continue walking uninterrupted, or it should have its damage and AoE buffed so it repels enemies who would otherwise attack it at close range. Also, Exosuit can also 1-shot Bile Titans. The rockets it fires are roughly the same as the ones fired by the expendable rocket launcher. The rockets can also 1-shot Impalers, seal bug holes/fabricators and 2-shot spore-spewers and shrieker nests.

I feel that when someone is using an exo suit it is a 2-way street. The operator needs to pay attention to their tm8s just as much as the tm8s need to pay attention to the exo suit. It is pretty obvious where it is, tm8s need to focus as a team.
I love your videos brother and I see you like using unorthodox stratagems like I do. if you want, try using Gatling barrage, gas strike, guard dog/guard dog rover, and either recoilless and/or quasar. And btw I do not agree that this is the best way to use the mech. The mech is for wading into a sea of enemies and carving a path for your team. It is also a method of getting from point a to b faster than any of the other helldivers can. I mean yes, do I hop out and destroy large enemies with the recoilless? Yes. Do I hop out and throw stratagems though? No. I am constantly wading into close combat with bugs to distract them from my team and pull aggro when the battlefield is full of bugs, I am constantly running into the horde to cover helldivers who are retrieving their samples or doing objectives or getting their support weapon back, or just cut off from the team. That’s in my opinion what the mech is for it’s way too risky to be hopping in and out of it. Enemies are attracted to the mech even if YOURE NOT IN IT. I hate to say this, but mechs work only when you have a good teamwork from other players. If you don't have teamwork, Mechas are useless, they are either getting blown up quickly by robots or you get swarmed by heavy bug hitters.
You might need to consider the Servo Assisted throwing armour to use with your barrages. I think a few of the strategems are danger close. Also, I noticed you didn't use your minigun on any bug about to call a bug breach - was there any reason for that?

I think that both exosuits need an armor buff, and that instead of increasing ammo supply, they could add an exosuit resupply, with only one resupply per mission, and the reload time would be long, like 15-30 seconds per arm.
