I feel like the Las Dagger would ve been a better secondary here cause you mostly need it for the pesky hunters who get close. The Senator needs alot of reloading which leads to more need of kiting away, eating alot of time.
The dagger is one of those weapons that I think is slept on a lot. It’s actually really useful on both fronts. Can take down the little guys here super fast, but can also deal with bezerkers and devastators pretty quick if you have good aim That said, I need to bring it more when I run crossbow on bugs. I usually bring the pocket shotty so I can one shot stalkers as a “panic button” haha
if a stalker gets too close you can blast it in the face with the space magnum (in his case with the crossbow) but all you get to do with the dagger is pee on it
@@frostthegrey That is true. But how often do you face Stalkers? They re not on every map, Crossbow deals well with them most of the time and when the liar is closed there wont come more. Its much more situational. Hunters on the other hand swarm you on all maps and for the whole duration of the mission. Especially if you play Crossbow and anti heavy support you ll badly need something that deals with them well. The Las Dagger does that and on top of it it also does a better job against Shriekers which are also very annoying with such a loadout. The Senator just doesnt pair well with the Crossbow if you dont run a dps support weapon.
@ problems is you always know when there are shriekers from the mission preparation map and it's easy enough to kill a hunter when it's far away, whereas you will never know if there are stalkers, and stalkers can get close at any moment. besides, the verdict mostly solves the reloading problem and does the job against hunters better. the loyalist offers even more crowd control and mostly solves the reloading issue. the senator acts as another multitool for when your crossbow runs out and you can't reload; it can kill anything a crossbow can. the redeemer is another swiss knife specifically for light units and can deal with hunters and shriekers faster than the dagger. the bushwhacker deals crazy burst damage. i'm not saying the dagger is bad. what i'm saying is i think there are far better choices than it. and while it does have the advantage of not needing to reload and tearing through shriekers, it takes a bit too long to kill most bugs, and bugs are very unforgiving when it comes to giving you time. i regularly play xbow anti heavy and i can deal with hunters and shriekers just fine with the verdict.

A headshot from the Dagger will always kill slower than one or two headshots from pretty much every other weapon. Time to kill is a huge factor to consider and in really bad bug breaches/bot drops they will spawn far faster than the dagger can take them out and by the time the dagger is done doing it's thing the next bug breach/bot drop will be ready. It isn't a bad weapon but it's strength isn't it's speed. It is strong because it is super accurate and has "infinite" ammo. I think for this specific drop the Verdict would have been a better option. After the update it is really solid. Can one-tap most enemies and it can quickly kill the enemies that can't be one-tapped. Its ammo pool isn't half bad either. But that is the main reason I think the Dagger is slept on. For me and people with similar playstyles, it's too slow to kill even the weakest enemies.
Been taking a break from Arc Thrower and using a loadout of Commando/EAT/Guard Dog/Eagle 500 for a few weeks now. The Commando and EAT replenish quickly enough where multiple Heavies aren't a problem while defending points like on the Raise the Flag missions. Lots of fun being a dedicated Anti-Tank specialist for the team. Really enjoying your continued output of these kind of videos with commentary. It gives me a lot of ideas on how to improve my game, thank you.
I usually ran the Sickle + Senator + Thermite with Quasar/Jet Pack/Orbital Laser/Orbital Precision Strike It was a fun loadout but I've switched it up a bit and run the crossbow + senator + stun/gas (stun for bots, gas for bugs) GR-8/Eagle Airstrike/120mm barrage (sometimes 380mm)/and HMG turret. The HMG turret is honestly incredible.
instead of the OGS you can bring in the Eagle Strafing Run. Really useful having both Orbital and Eagle combo. Plus you get 5 charges of the strafing run; good for fabricators and bugholes as well
On the drill missions you cant call down strategems on the area that will turn into a crater after the bomb goes off. So if you call things in you need to call it off to the side around the edge, thats why your EATs and turret pokeballs kept vanishing

This may be one coolest stratagem loadout definitely caught my eye with this one. Whats your load out on the gear. Hope to see a pure full eagle loadout and build video
I saw an old video with a guy giving tip about kklling enemies and to find the impaler just use the tenticles. The inner orange part faces away from them so go the direction opposite of the way the trnticles are facing. I tried it and it worked then again it was just a strait path to i To the impaler but i went that dirctuin b3cause of that tip. This may be something old thats been removed but ive noticed you have a little trouble finding them sometimes.
As a ceteran of the first war, yhese formidable foes are extremely easy to deal with. It make look like you're boned when the tentacles come out, but since their attacks with them are not a big hitbox and instead just the tip of the thing, you can easily wipe them out with a single rocket or some flames. Even your primary would work fine since they've gotten much easier since the first war

Why would they add a completely separate grenade launcher instead of giving the original grenade launcher programmable ammo like the auto cannon or recoiless rifle?
If you're able to get the drop on most patrols/groups, one or two shots will wipe out a majority of them. Against bile spewer groups, killing one will decimate others. I carry the Redeemer as a backup to deal with Pouncers or other small enemies. Crossbow can carry you pretty far once you're better with.
I hated it too, but it's really good. You need to shoot at feet, take the senator as backup, and maybe take the guard dog and gas grenades for close range.
Yeah it takes a bit to get used to the spacing you need to be effective and safe, I take the bushwhacker for smalls and I run jump pack to help create space, if you're good at aiming unlike me then senator is a great option for secondary
Its essentially the grenade launcher primary . Allows for more diversity for the rest of your kit. It also does a crap ton of damage and easily kills most units in 1-3 shots except for the bigger targets.
As a bot diver, it is good we're split 50/50 we need half the divers to kill as many bugs as possible as fast as possible so we get elem. 710 fast and get the dss operation ASAP

Low cooldown builds are also a great way to practice stratagem inputs!

I've been running only turrets for solo missions. It's crazy how reliable they are.
Machine gun turret is my team mate, quick call in and cool down and obliterates most enemies.

Also he's playing on pc with a mouse. Aiming in any way even running hip fire is alot easier and far more precise with a mouse.

Do gas grenades mess with the sentry? If not I'd throw a gas grenade at the turret to protect it a lot of the time.
