Well the expanded universe was officially canon, it said so right on the cover of the Thrawn books, there is a whole website with all of the official lucasfilm quotes about the expanded universe being canon and it's hard to agrue that it was "Fan drivin" when most of the stories were produced by Lucas arts....

All kaiber crystals are technically a pale blue and the color comes from personality. Conrado Javier I disagree. Part of why the prequel story feels so weird and flawed is because everything has to tie together. It should just be related but ultimately independent event happening, at most hinting at movie events, that builds the characters as they are. They are complement to the movies and other parts, not explanations or supplements. That's why some of the BEST stories in the EU is in the distant past, where the only restriction is the basic nature of the universe. E.g. The best SW stories ever--KOTOR.
I love this comic. To me, it really showcases Obi-wan and Anakin's relationship in a positive light. Something Lucas failed to do in the prequels. It's funny the old EU(Legends) managed to capture it so well and yet the Prequels don't. How sad. Needless to say, I'm pumped for Rogue One. Preordered the prequel book by James Luceno, one of my favorite SWs authors and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

We should have been able to see how Obi-wan earned the title the Negioator and how the war affected Anakin. The movie could have also examined Count Dooku and Grievous. A lot of people don't realize but Dooku was seen as a hero to the Separatists and Grievous and the Trade Federation were hated, a necessary evil. Even Dooku remarked about this in the ROTS novelization which is amazing. Basically, how I would have structured the Prequels were. Get rid of Episode One. Episode two is episode one, but done a lot better and makes more sense(get James Luceno on the script so as to make it work). Episode two is the actual Clone Wars from Anakin and Obi-wan's perspective. Showcase Grievous being a threat, and more of Dooku. Develop Obi-wan and Anakin's relationship and how the war affected Anakin(I.E wanting to protect his wife/ ensure peace). Episode Three, is episode three.

The war could be done some justice in a two film span, but I feel just one movie to cover it all is a bit too short on time. Obi Wan was wise but not wise enough to handle Anakin. The problem he had with him is the same problem most adults have with children and that's a lack of clarity in the rules in which are enforced. In order to be a good leader you have to explain why things are in detail or else you will get hostility. Yoda would have been more fit to train him because he was a lot more patient and his method of explaining was zen like and deep and I think he would have warned him more of the dangers of anger and fear also he could have put more historical context behind things due to the fact that he was about 900 years old.
Sheldon Smith My problem with this is, Yoda is really into the force, yet he didn't take action to assist Obi Wan or against Sidious. Then he runs away. Yoda is waaaaay to passive until its too late

I would have thought they would have been more like the Predator, and by that I mean predators don't loose. They are willing to blow themselves up to win or rectify a problem, their fearless. The Jedi should have been fearless.
Honestly Mace would have been the best to train Anakin, by quite a margin. If he could teach anakin to control those feelings of anger and rage towards something like Vapaad, then he wouldnt try to supress them and become unhealthy in his emotions. Really though he needed the entire order to train him lol. Mace for constructive outlet of emotions Yoda for peace and understanding Obi wan for a father figure mentor and humility The reason they failed to train the chosen one is because they didnt adapt their methods. They used methods which had been in place for centuries that happened to fail at the worst time.
