Darth Maul was easily one of my 2 favorite characters (the other being Star Killer). He was the DEFINITION of a badass. Such a shame how his fate ends up playing out
Darth Bane didn't survive the Sith Massacre, he was the Sith Massacre. He delivered a weapon to his superiors who didn't really see eye to eye with Bane, a Thought Bomb. He said it killed all Jedi in it's radius, which was true, but neglected to mention it killed Sith just the same. He dipped out of there right before they detonated it while pouring in the entire strength of the force wielding Sith Empire. He erased the weakness that was bred as multiple weak Sith would overthrow a single powerful Sith time after time. The Rule of Two was made to strengthen the apprentice or cast them aside, ensuring the Order would only grow in power, and it all began by Darth Bane making himself the only Sith alive. (Extremely Deliberate)

Yeah Disney has done idiotic things with Star Wars, like giving EA the rights to Battlefront and rehashing a lot of A New Hope things in The Force Awaken, but without Disney Rouge One wouldn’t have happened and this comic wouldn’t have happened. Not telling you you’re wrong for not liking Disney’s Star Wars but it’s not like they haven’t done some good with it
If they do another Star Wars story they might do Maul. But it would be weird since that's going back pretty far by comparison to just before new hope like with Rebels.
Well if the new 2 triologies flop disney can always push the reboot button amd give Maul a better role. I personally hated the way he was handled in Rebels :/

Bane tried to live forever too by finding out how to transfer his own mind from body to body when he suspected his apprentice of being unworthy of taking up the mantel of Lord of the Sith, so maybe Palpatine did originally plan to have an apprentice take his place, but decided it was better for him to rule on. I don't know how to reconcile that contradiction from both Palpatine and Bane in which they each decided to try to live forever because, in their minds, no one was better to lead.
This 5 issue miniseries was freaking awesome! Great story and if you dig variant covers, there are so many great covers to hunt. Just like Clone Wars and Rebels, it expands a character that should have never left us as soon as he did.
the Dark Horse comic series Son of Dathomir is getting a rerelease over at Marvel as a graphic novel today. It's been canon without physical copies that said "Marvel/Disney" on them. Hopefully it's got a few little added bits or adds some Legends things, like animals or planets to canon.
I remember seeing a comic where Darth vader fought what seemed to be a projection of Darth Maul. It was just basically a way for the two to fight, but it gave me my second favorite line from Darth Vader. Obviously Darth Vader won, but at the end of the duel darth maul asks him what he could possibly hate that could surpass that of maul's and he responds by simply saying "Myself". Probably my favorite moment regarding Darth Vader because that's when you realize that Darth Vader is so powerful because in a world where his powers are fueled by emotions, nobody in the galaxy hates anything as much as Darth Vader hates himself.
Because as sad as it is, Disney think everything prequel related and by extension Maul, Ahsoka, etc. is bad and non-profitable which is blatantly wrong. But hey, what do I know about running a business or practically owning half the world.

Ive always been a Star Wars fance since before the phantom menace and ive read the entire Jedi Appreciate series from wen Qui-Gon Jinn took on Obi Wan as a Padawan. The whole premise of the series is about Obi Wan and how he becomes a Jedi. Each book is pretty short but as a collective series in the Star Wars Universe its amazing to see how far they've come. And Darth Maul will always be my favorite Sith #DoubleBladedLightsabers4Dayz
Maybe do video games related to comics? For example, some of the stories from X-Men Legends were pretty cool. Marvel Nemesis was weird, but it had heroes dying.
Darth Revan actually created the rule of 2 in legends. It was Revans idea, Darth Bane found his holocron and implemented it whit the thought bomb. IIIRC, because Revan didn't know how, or have the opportunity to do so himself. Also, it was all force users on the planet who died. There were a few lesser sith, who he exterminated that weren't in the thought bomb but anyone who had a measure of power was killed. The only force user to survive the thought bomb was a small like 5-10 year old girl, who he took as his apprentice.
Of course technically they where the originals but if you wana act lol as if everything was giving in order this would be the ground set in our minds the ideologie of is either side completely wright?
