Alot of recipes on pinterest for sourdough discard. Pie crust, pizza dough. I made sour dough scones the other day.

I make bagels, English muffins, French bread, pretzels, etc. I make big batches and freeze them. Heat them in the oven for a few minutes and they all taste like they were freshly made.
Poolish is a mixture of flour and water with a little yeast; used to make some forms of dough. It usually sits for 8 to 24 hours and then you use it to make bread or bagels or whatever.

Hi Pam and Dina! When someone asks for a knitted item, I refuse to do it for them, but offer to teach them how to make it for themselves. This method weeds out the unworthy.😂
I do the same thing. So far no one has taken me up on it.😂
Yes to taking the train to Montreal, its the best way to get into the city, right downtown easy peasy, and the Montreal Metro is so easy to use to get around the city

I did the exact same this weekend…making a levain with my sourdough starter then the bread using a recipe from The Perfect Loaf. For the discard, I’ve made crumpets using a King Arthur recipe specifically for starter discard…very good and perfect for an afternoon tea.
