I crochet! I crocheted for most of my life and got annoyed that there weren’t enough patterns for anything but squares for granny blankets. Not really true. But today’s crochet is so much better! But I also love the knit cap. Though it is easier to do the hat in crochet.
I don’t crochet, but seeing that cute hat I wish I did! Navy and cream would be so pretty! Mother’s Day is a bit of an unknown- I’d love a day without laundry and picking up. I’m a nurse so the last two years I worked and this year I am off- it’s an unknown!
I knit and crochet! I enjoy both although I knit more frequently than crocheting. My favorite Mother’s Day was when my husband grilled rib eye steaks with baked potatoes and Caesar salad for my mom, sister and me while we watched a movie. I’m not a big fan of eating at a restaurant although I’d rather do that than cook for a big crowd. The bucket hat is real cute. I have a hank of linen yarn that’s calling my name….
Dina and Pam, you make my day. I try to catch you live but usually watch and listen the next morning while at work (doing paperwork while seeing patients-good break).
My mom and I agree. A holiday named by someone else is still just a day! Every day should be Mother’s Day! Treat your mom as though you love her every day. Christmas is just a day. It has religious connections that keep it in place but we can give each other gifts all year around. Visit me as often as I come to mind and don’t wait on a legal holiday. Invite me to a meal regularly and don’t make it at my house unless YOU do the dishes. (I do like my food better, just as you do.)
I always so love watching you ladies. You make my day! One Mother's Day suggestion I don't remember hearing was all the generations of adult females in a family go out for a lovely lunch, everyone feels special. On a different day. Then on Mother's Day the men can take care of the food and drinks for the family. Takeout and sangrias from your favourite Italian resurant! We are celebrating Easter and Mother's Day on May 15 because someone has covid, now someone is working the entire weekend, and so on. Ugh!
Here in Australia on Mother’s Day we have a “Mother’s Day Classic Walk” For Breast Cancer, my Daughter and Granddaughter have been doing it for 10yrs apart from COVID. I love it! we do the 8klm walk have Breakfast and then go our own way…
My birthday is May 4th so my husband combines birthday & Mother’s Day to take me where I want to go. Maryland Sheep & Wool is overwhelming but The Knot House in Frederick MD has their pop up shop. He is taking me down on Saturday & then we will enjoy the day visiting the town & eating.
Hi there I love you ladies with my hearing problem when your speaking at the same time it’s hard to know what’s being said. Dina when you were trying to explain how to figure out the difficulty of the pattern Pam was talking about something else at the same time. Again, I love you guys and appreciate all you do on your channel!!!
There are great yarn shops near Richmond VA. Dances With Wool and Center of the Yarniverse. Two in Williamsburg VA. The Flying Needles and Yarn Matters. Two in VA Beach, The Yarn Club and Baa Baa Sheep.
When you say you knit in the round and you don’t have to purl. Is that considered working in garter. I heard the Italian knitter mention the same thing. Im confused!!
That Lapis is STUNNING! Y’all share amazing patterns! And I agree about Mother’s Day!
Love, love your podcasts. I love all of the suggestions for patterns and seeing the yarns.

I am late watching you two, but you need to come to Virginia and visit Dances With Wool. It is located in Midlothian and you would LOVE it.

I knit and crochet.
Pam- consider a Soldotna in twig. So when done and it was gorgeous!
The last episodes of this is us have not been aired.
What is the name of the hat?? I would love to get the pattern.
Pam - you shouldn’t say that I crochet and knit! I crocheted before I started to knit. Don’t be so hard on crocheters! :)
I have never cooked on Mother’s Day.

Since you don’t turn it, it’s stockinette

Thank you so much for your input!!
Way too much inspiration of colour combinations and patterns in your show, not enough time to knit. Love it all though - thanks
