    I keep my money tree by a south facing window and it gets lots of direct light all afternoon. It loves it! The leaves are huge (way bigger than the plant in the video) and the color is deep, rich green. The leaves also stand up rigidly instead of flopping lightly down. Everyone always comments on how big, beautiful and healthy it is, but this is the first time I’ve watched money tree videos and seen other plants so now I understand why I get all the comments! I get not all money trees can tolerate direct light but mine thrives in it. A few months ago I read an article saying not to keep it in direct light so I moved it and it was obviously unhappy and wanted back in the sun so I moved it back. Thanks for the video!

    You're very right about the light. The more light, the better it is. Cold winters are bad. I've seen someone use a garage light with 8000 lumen and it grows like crazy.

    Anna, thank you for your videos. Also, love you accent. 😊 my question is when you cut the tree and place it in water, if it does grow roots can you keep it in water to grow ? Will it live letting it grow in water ?

  • @mtloke5732
    @mtloke5732 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Why exactly do you have to cut the leaves? Will the leaves grow back or remain in their "cut shape"?

    Hello Anna! My money tree is almost 4’ tall from the dirt up and one whole stem or branch has finally lost all its leaves except for 3 new ones at the very top. It doesn’t look so nice so I’ll need to prune it as you’ve demonstrated here.
    My question is, after I cut the proper length for the cutting from it’s top to root as you’ve shown, if I cut up the part of the stem below that without the leaves anymore into pieces in between the nodes where it’s leaves fell off, will each stem cutting root?
    And, will the remaining stem send out new growth?
    Oh, thank you for your answer and advice! I’m excited to hear back from you!
    Have beautiful days!

    Hi,....I saw another video where the bottom of the stem was dipped into honey, and also some honey was added to the water. I was wondering if this is good?...I've tried before as you mentioned in this video but it was an unsuccessful result.

    When i just have 2 branches left out of 5, the leaves kept on dying. I ended up cutting the branch off. How do I root the cut off branch? The branch is about six inches. The tree branch ends look to be good, no black spots.

    My stems became rotten, even though I change water every week. Do you know what causes it? Thank you for very informative video ❤

    • @mzbettyboo97
      @mzbettyboo97 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It sounds like you overwater it and it has root rot. They are able to dry out before watering them again and it usually takes more than a week depending on how much water you used and how big. They thrive in moist soil. Not too dry, not too wet.

    I have my tree next to a window, and there's sunlight everyday, in the tri-state are only in the winter there's less sunlight but it receives uv light regardless....

    What kind of money does it grow and how much a week ?? Can I give up working and have a free life ?? Thank you very much

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Depends how much you water it. The more you water, the more it grows money. Then it gets rotten and you'll need to work again. :)

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Absolutely! I had one of mine growing in a cactus soil successfully. But I must say, it seemed it's quite heavy for a pachira. I think next time I'm going to use potting mix for Aroids

  • @mathiusq9128
    @mathiusq9128 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Pachira does better in outdoor partial shade it seems much different than indoor partial shade for some reasons.

      Of course outdoors you have other risks and must eatch out for extreme weather especialy cold.
