    So many of you have asked me in the comments "How to continue braiding money tree?" It's absolutely possible and you have even two options for it. One - you can start braiding from the top, and two - you can continue braiding Pachira Aquatica starting from the bottom and braiding it till the top leaves.
    Watch the video to learn more and see how I do it.

    Great video Anna! I concur with other viewers’ comments, finally a video that clearly detailed how to braid a money tree (we also called Pachira in Spanish), and in English. I couldn’t find it even in Spanish. Greetings from Honduras. I definitely follow your TH-cam Channel. I’m quite interesting in your lavanda videos.

    Seems to me as tho it would help to have a second person helping , to hold the upper part with the leaves for you, so they can stop them from from rubbing together and breaking off the leaves. 🌱.

    when should you start the new braids? my tree is maybe a foot tall probably even shorter than that and the new green stems are around 3-4inches. would they be considered long enough to start a new braid?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would suggest you start braiding when the stems lose the leaves from the bottom, then you don't need to remove healthy leaves and the stems still have many leaves at the bottom, they will look beautiful 💜

    Does the trunk stop growing entirely once it is topped? If I am trying to make a very thick trunk should I start a new propagation in a wide pot and not top it?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Yes, if cut, the main trunk will stop growing from the top, it may produce some other side branches and can even get a bit thicker with the time

    I just received my first money tree. My room is very dry so the leaves fell dry and some are curling, I got a humidifier for it and watered it about two weeks ago. I haven’t changed the soil. I noticed the bottom leaves, are turning yellow. They don’t feel crisp, but I’m not sure what to do. Do I leave it alone or trim that yellow leaf off? Also my tree is about 1 1/2 ft tall, should I start braiding?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. I just posted a video about yellow leaves: th-cam.com/video/ymRhCJrvwN8/w-d-xo.html
      I would recommend changing the soil, as the stems are put together with a rubber band in the soil and it really harms the stems. I talk about it and show it here: th-cam.com/video/k4l38kzOXzo/w-d-xo.html

  • @libra8194
    @libra8194 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It needs a way larger home. The soil needs to cover majority of branches (like a tree) this is a tree. A money tree

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In bigger pots it's very easy to overwater them. I prefer to increase the size of the step gradually

  • @randall8004
    @randall8004 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How are you supposed to start @the top?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's only possible if you take the plant out of the pot and each branch would be then separately. They normally braid it from the top, when the branches are still young green cuttings, sometimes even without roots. I should have mentioned that. Good point!
