If he was r**ped that explains a lot. He disassociated with himself. He describes not bathing that’s not something someone who is lying would admit to.
He was traumatized, terrorized and no one protected him.
His mother did not protect him his brother was spared from it.
Where’s the person that hurt this kid?! Still out there? I hate how they assume he was lying. The trauma changes the young man’s feelings.
He doesn’t trust his own feelings creates an animated person of himself.
This kid was neglected and I’m still astounded that no one is looking at this.

It can also be Schizophrenie. These people are truly innocent and were not themselves at all. They have too much dopamine. Which leads to overstimulation = seeing and thinking sh*t. I believe him about the childhood rape.
It happened to my little brother, my parents didn't believe him, but my sisters and I did. His behavior after was violent, he didn't shower for months and screamed and cried when my mom made him shower.
My sisters and I did our best to comfort him in his rages. He didn't get violent with us girls, but did with our parents because of anger that he should of been protected by my parents and most importantly he should of had that chance that his own parents would believe him.
He developed what his counselor called trauma, ptsd, and bi polar disorder.
After my brothers funeral because he was involved in a car accident from drinking and driving my mother told us she went to his counselor to visit about some things. His counselor told my mom she wasn't surprised because after he was raped at age 9 he started developing a behavior of not caring because he felt that he wasn't cared about by the most important people to him. His mommy and daddy.
It was definitely wrong of this young man to kill his mother, he should be imprisoned for life, but the thing is how was his mother's reaction towards his accusations? I bet anything it was one of her lovers she had after the dad passed away.
Trauma seriously can ruin a person's life.
I advise everyone to take the information from this video and be a voice for children who are susceptible to molestation, rape by a live in family member, friend of the family, etc.... never leave a child with anybody you think you could trust.
My heart hurts after Watching this video.
Especially for the brother whom lost his father, his mother was murdered by his own brother, and his brother that will never be free again. And I'm sure he too was a victim of sexual assault if his brother was.
Prayers for all the children of the world.

In my own case, I was continually seeing therapists, psychologists, etc for some 45 years and they didn't know what was totally going on with me. It took a psychology intern armed with the latest knowledge about 12 sessions to solve the underlying problem (also discovering another problem which had totally eluded these therapists). That was some three years ago and I haven't had to see anyone since.

The chick just wanted to be a triathlete and the boy's medicines were a bit too much spending maybe? Also throwing off the rape story as just "imagination" is pure bad parenting. Too bad his pops died that early in his life..also of ALS - thats a martyr's death right there. Probably scarred the kid for life. I know the struggle because my dad passed away from the same thing...watching your parent slowly lose his body, ending up barely talking and then finding him dead..its hard to deal with..even for an adult. But im a nearly 40y adult, and a trained medic and the kid was 9 when he was witnessing his dad slowly dissolving into nothingness. And then being raped at 11. Damn. His particular taste in the videogames and the books he was interested in suggests a very smart kid...who was left to search on the internet on how to deal with his illnes. A neglected case both from the parent and the mental specialists.

All of them cause health complications. The teen boy was most likely the person who possibly initiated not taking the meds and the health-conscious mom decided to go along with that. Did that get her killed? I think it's the lack of needed mental health support in this country that killed her just as much as her son did. This mother needed resources she didn't have access to and this kid needed to know how to deal with his illness/s...and teens like to deal with very personal embarrassment causing ordeals on their own. In the earlier pictures, Zachary has a happy, open and friendly demeanour. It's not until later he starts to look sullen, disengaged and the light in his eyes just went dead. Something happened. Look how many things went down in short succession around age 11 that are all at the top off the trauma scale: his father died, the family moved, he was raped, nobody would believe him, and he was bullied at school. How much damage is done when children go through the horror of sexual abuse and the people they trust to protect them simply choose not to believe them? We'll never now for sure, but I'm inclined to believe him. His whole look changed around that time, he picked up weight, he stopped cleaning himself, he developed a morbid obsession with horror novels and serial killers...and the only real reason he gave for killing his mother is that she didn't take proper care of her children. I feel sorry for this young man. Whatever brought him to this dreadful act, it would only get worse going forward.

Some people with way less trauma in his/her life could be able to do even more cruel things. I was in elementary in Eastern Europe in the 90's and one of my schoolmate, a 13 years old kid (I was about 10-11) had killed his father and seriously wounded his mother and his 9 years old sister.
He has never seemed suspicious to anyone, but he was a strange kid for sure. Everybody knew everyone, I've lived in a village with around 1000 souls so the old hags always run the news through the streets for sure.
So It was well known rumor that the Father was an alcoholic, but back then, it was a pretty "normal" family trait.
The kid liked to torture animals and he always played brutally with his schoolmates, so his parents were called in pretty often into the school.
One time he pushed a girl that she hit hear head into something, the ambulance had to take her into the ER.
After that the kid has been deemed unfit for school, so his parents took him home, and while they still couldn't find another school for him one night he grabbed a shovel, went into his parents room, hit his father with the edge of the shovel a few times, his mother tried to jump on him, but she couldn't fight against the tool with bare hands, so she run to grab the daughter, but the kid run after them and luckily couldn't get the sharp side aligned to do more cuts, but he managed to hit the little girl and the mother some more.
The kid got tired easily so the mother could run to the neighbors with the daughter and they called the police.
Later turned out the kid planned the attack, because the father hit him regularly, of course, because the kid was a bully, dumb, nice words never worked on him, so the father had enough.
So the kid planned to kill the whole family, and blame the alcoholic father, that he killed everyone, and he managed to take him down!
Imagine that you could sacrifice everyone in your family, just because you are getting punished for your own mistakes!

To spend your life loving, nurturing, taking care of, sleepless nights with a newborn, illness with her babies…all the things a mom does to live their babies only to realize your kid is MURDERING YOU. Raising two kids and keeping the house on one salary is pretty hard. Keeping track of both kids Is also hard for one parent. Not saying that it cannot be done but it's harder for some

Can you imagine being a mom who refused to do the #1 thing a mom should do, protect her child and fight for him?
She was a “great mom” because she knew he was telling the truth about the rape but wasn’t strong enough to do anything about it. Being raped is one thing but telling someone you trust and they refuse to believe you, you’re forced to go through that situation on your own (especially at that age), that’s something you resent everyone for. Judging by the childhood pictures, he stopped smiling and looked completely emotionless after about 11 years old. I have no doubts that’s when the schizophrenia kicked in.
Parents of sexually abused children tend to refuse to believe their children and then “baby” them their entire lives.
Not saying his actions are justified at all, I’ve been through this and have no intention of harming anyone. But the resentment mixed with the schizophrenia turned him into a beast. There’s a lot of things this mother should have done. Not saying it was her fault but it was preventable.

Looking at Josh, I think his reaction was not really odd. My dad had the same reaction too while explaining to other family members when my mom died. But after the funeral end, he did burst crying with my brothers. I guess as typical men, he probably tried to finish his job or task before he would try to release some emotion.

Yes, those were my thoughts as well.
Although I have never been on a situation like this, it kind of reminded me of when my family and I had a car accident.
I was the driver, it was raining and I lost control of the car after a curve, and it flipped, stopping upside down.
I was so focused on making sure everyone was ok and being taken care of: getting my nephew out of the car and making him stay with my sister, while keeping a calm voice not to disturb him, then helping my mom get out, and holding her and laying her down on the ground as she passed out, answering police and EMS questions etc, I didn't even notice I had a huge bump in the head and was bleeding there.
Only after they got in an ambulance and couldn't see me anymore, the realization of what had just happened hit me and I broke down crying, while being taken on another ambulance.
We were all very fortunate and had only a few bruises and minor injuries, even though the car was totalled. 🙏
But I was actually surprised of how I managed to keep a very straightforward-taking-care-of-things approach right after the accident, being the very anxious person I am.

I agree that his reaction was, somewhat, to be expected. When I had a traumatic death in the family of a close family member I went completely numb for weeks. I just did everything like it was normal. I just took care of things that had to be done. In the first few days or even the first week it is pretty normal to not react or cry much because it takes a LONG while to understand what happened and that a person that you loved is gone forever.

So let me get this straight: It’s heavily implied that the older brother mxlested him, the mom knew but didn’t do anything about it, and instead stopped taking Zach to the therapist so he wouldn’t tell and get the brother in trouble. That’s why the text messages are so overwhelmingly nice. To keep him “happy” and “quiet”. THAT IS MESSED IP.

    • @blanktentacle
      @blanktentacle ปีที่แล้ว +341

theres so much more than "zach is schizo and killed his mom", the m0lestation allegations should be incredibly concerning considering the fact he wanted to kill his brother and still does. this case was treated as if there were nothing more to it than just some mentally ill teen with aggression. your insight on the texts make even more sense with all the other information given. this guy had a plan of escape, but everyone else just thought he was insane. (i'm not discrediting the evidence that he is mentally ill, i'm stating that it was much more than just his mind.)

    • @blanktentacle
      @blanktentacle ปีที่แล้ว +139

i want to add that the implications of him feeling some kind of "accomplishment" is absolutely sickening. this guy has been through so much and was just ignored and was "kept happy". he's not some edgelord who wants to be seen as evil. seeing the very last part of this video with implications that he thinks of himself as "a cold serial killer" are completely off and very disheartening, anyone who has seen someone with something similar to zach/seen someone hurt as deeply as him will understand that he isn't seeking gratification or personal gain.

So you, as a random nobody on the internet, stating as fact that there's definitely more to this case means fuck all.

I would actually argue the opposite. While it seems like the kid modelled his life after Sling Blade or something and that's annoying to listen to, he was incredibly forthright in every single (except one, of course) question that was asked of him. The interrogators job is get answers out of people. I'm sure that getting every single answer to every single question asked but the perp pissed all over them, they would take that over talking to a brick wall that reveals nothing for 6 grueling hours.

I feel for him that he was raped when he was 11. It happened to me multiple times in my childhood and it made my mind a living nightmare, often times unable to control all of the thoughts going through my brain but to turn into a cold blooded killer over it? I don't know. I've never thought about killing anyone but maybe it affects different people different ways.
For the mother to not accept what happened and blow it off I get that too.
My parents did absolutely nothing to help me when they found out and it made it even worse. Parents if your kid tells you something like that TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. Don't put your pride or ego or selfishness above your children. Not justifying the murder but people should learn lessons from it. Don't ignore the issues that your children have. Especially ones as serious as this.
