I bought a sporter s today I rode it all the way home in sport mode and I’ve gotta tell ya I’ve been on ninja 1000 and cb1100 this bike is a different kind of fast ! Usually you get torque or you get top end this bike gives you both!!
I would agree with that this bikes power feels different 100% loads of torque

Ive had more or less every sports buke and neked going, ive now settled for a Sportster S and. GSXS1000... Kept the GSXR1000R, too, obviously 😂 i feel as though i have the best of all worlds, cruiser, sports and comfortable sports. Great vid. Happy days!!
I own both bikes too and I believe the MT-09 is a way better bike for half of the cost (when you factor in the HD dealership BS fees). The S wins in style and comfort, though. Just my humble opinion. 🤷♂️

I test rode a SportsterS last Week, it's a BEAST in Sport Mode...You really do feel like you're going to Slide Off !!

For 'real world' riding, the Sporty has probably the most useable power delivery out of any bike I've owned. Sure my old Fireblade or ZX10 would demolish it on track or on an empty road, but for moving around fast & safe on today's busy roads it's not far off perfect.
There is no competition, the MT-09 is lighter by about 90 pounds which is a HUGE difference... The rest is just daydreaming and user error.
I love my mt09 and my Harley but I think in a straight line the Harley wins but throw some turn I’ll have to give it to the mt for sure
Yeah that's all well and fine in theory but I ran 10.93@119mph on my sportster S.

Generally speaking, where are you? I'm in Southern California and have always wanted to match up against a Sportster S with my MT09. I think the first race you guys did was the most "honest" of the 3 races. I think the MT09 rider put the bike in 3rd gear when you were holding up 3 fingers saying 30 for the roll race.
Same I would be down to go head to head with the mt09s lol that would be fun!! I. Our defense were noobs lol

im torn between both these bikes but im leaning Yamaha as its a lot cheaper, making it more difficult to justify the sportster.
I would 100% go with the Yamaha way more reliable

First time launching it also had traction control on it affects your lunch

Awesome race! Was the mt09 in mode 1? Quite surprised the harley won lol. I know the mt09 is not for very high speeds, but it has a lot of torque at lower speeds tho, hence the mt09 was bit quicker at start
The MT09 should be pretty effin fast from 0 to 100mph. Gotta turn everything off though and know how to launch properly and not short shift. It's not a roll racing bike though unless you stay in low gear and high rpms.
It was power mode 1, traction control 1, honestly don’t really launch much as you can see lol the mt09 has balls !
The dude at Spostster on the second round, feel the power of HD and "died of fear", got scared! Sportster S is not for anyone. I think he had to change his diapers. 🤣🤣🤣
While I really like both bikes, hands down its the MT. It's almost half the price and 300cc lacking for just about the exact same performance but i would venture better suspension and braking. I really wish Harley would have put the new sporty at 10k. That's comparable to everything in it's class.
I would agree the mt09 is just a blast to ride honestly I use the Harley as a chill ride. For moments I want Ride and just feel like a bad ass lol 😂 it’s definitely a looker
@@ChrisKrewz Dude I have an 01 Dyna FXDX and it's soley for how it looks 🤣 MT07 is coming here soon though. Like it a little better than the MT09. MUCH better than the Dyna, but dammit the Dyna looks so good! lol

ive done this exact race.. put that mt09 in A mode and your harley is toast.. .. and i hope thats a sporster 883 just for equality.. if its the 1200 then race against the MT10

CC's don't matter when that bike has an extra cylinder of power. MT10 will have 2 more cylinders. Of course those will be more powerful. 2 cylinder with 121 HP is still impressive

No offense but that wasn’t right definitely operator error that Harley should lose every time no contest can’t be scared of the MT let it eat. Best bike I’ve ever owned. If you cover the back break the front wheel will stay down and you can go full throttle without flipping it lol at least that’s why my friend told me 😉
The Harley is actually really quick tbh. Maybe with a tune it would be quicker. I don’t think you want to touch the brakes with accelerating because you will kick on the traction control.

Obviously for straight aways the Harley will win no doubt it has more HP and torque, but take both bikes and go up and down a canyon or track, the MT will devour the Harley!

I think the Harley with a skilled rider would make it an even match. Especially when pulling into a corner and going into a straight away the Harley is wicked. This is regarding a canyon/track. The Harley is still better. And I love my Sportster s

Dang I wish I was a skilled rider so we could see. I do think the mt09 has more lean angle and the power not to far from the sportster. I would bet the mt09 with the same rider with turns.
