"The Red in the Sky is Ours is unlistenable to anyone who isn't releasing music on Hessian Firm" I burst out laughing hearing that. Great episode and Drowned is definitely an interesting take on Swedish death metal. have you guys listened to Sepulcrum - Lamentations of Immolated Souls, Pretty similar stuff going on.

I think Unaussprechlichen Kulten, Einstürzende Neubauten, & Sanguisugabogg should go on tour. That would be a pretty cool tour poster.

Autismo mode activated: in the modern, digital domain, reverb is basically a form of delay effect. While delay is basically the same thing as an echo--you are taking a copy of the signal and Delaying it by a certain amount of time, then playing it back alongside the original signal--reverb is generally comprised of a group of delay effects which are specially calibrated to mimic the reflections of a physical space--what we refer to as "reverb". If you imagine producing a sound in a room, like a single clap, this sound will travel to each surface in the room, and then reflect from that surface, the acoustic qualities of these reflections depending on the physical characteristics of the materials in the room. What you perceive as "reverb" is the sum of these reflections arriving in your ear at various points in time, until the reflections have decayed to the point of inaudibility. Therefore, in the digital domain, you can simulate reverb by creating a network of discrete delay effects which will approximate the various reflections you would experience in a physical space, along with some extra fudging to make up for the lack of "echo density" and diffusion you would get in a real space. im gay

Also, my rudimentary knowledge of reverb versus delay is that reverb concerns more of a shimmering, brightness to the tone (picture, being in a large cathedral-like room), while delay is more about repetition of signal and the control thereof.

No disrespect to Kulten but the real star of the show was the full Totten Korps song at the end
