Terminus Episode 154 - Adversarial, Tsatthoggua

- Continuing this year's ongoing theme of triumphant returns come two excellent records--one highly anticipated, and the other utterly unexpected. Side A: the return of Adversarial, a TDMG favorite whose brand of death-fueled war metal smashes contemporaries with a flail of technicality, extremity, and potent atmosphere. Side B: the shocking return of Tsatthoggua, German blasting black metal legends whose new record picks up almost exactly where the band left off a quarter century prior. Put on your gimp mask--it's time to party.

Crazy shit 🤘🏻!!! Thanks from the Tsatthoggua Crew
Hell yeah dudes!!! 🤘 Great to hear from you, thanks for listening. Glad you enjoyed the show. ⚔
The topless interviews HAS to be some Bill Zebub shit. 2 of his metal "documentaries" are on Tubi, and they're unhinged 😂
Bill Zebub lmao. I miss when metal was like that. Thanks for the source, man.
That ride for revenge post was me haha
Thanks for stimulating the Discourse (no homo)

Great episode. Totally agree with the Tsatthoggua rant.
Thanks bro! i basically drafted that in the discord thread last week.
Hark!
Hullo!

Can't believe I hadn't heard of Allfather until checking this episode. What a killer album!
Glad you dig! I was hoping someone would. And it's not your fault you haven't heard it before. Invictus initially released a lot of epic war metal stuff (Spearhead, Scythian), but sort of shifted focus over the years, and that sound has been forgotten. Also check out Nuclearhammer, which at one point or another incorporated members of Adversarial and related bands, plus Baron of Cromlech. - TBMG ⚔
Yeah Nuclear Hammer is awsome, I heard about them from their split with Berigme Exemious! Cool to know they also share member with Adversarial as well.
@@minhlong1920 Oh shit Begrime Exemious is great, very unique. I own a few of those records on Bandcamp, should get back to 'em. - TBMG
it's kinda nuts for alll the members to stop making (releasing?) music for 25 years, come back with the same lineup and put out a banger.. seriously feels like a first ever..
YES. That's a really good point. When else has that ever happened? Fingers crossed for "The Fourfold Furnace" someday, lol..... - TBMG⚔
@@TerminusExtremeMetalPodcast the only example i can think of is Ruin but their early stuff weren't even full lengths iirc & not a full line up returning.
@@xuuhhhhh Mork Gryning did an excellent surprise return record but yeah, not the same lineup. The best you can usually do is have 2+ core members, like Celtic Frost on Monotheist.
Gorgoroth. What is the perfered beer of TBMG
I was drinking Old Style. Stuff like that, Hamm's, Stroh's, etc. - good American versions of Central European lager, plus the original when I can get it. Also Colt 45. It comes in cans now??? 🍻
also a soft spot for Two Hearted
lol apparently i tried typing in "cheers" and instead of the beer mugs emoji, got a piece of cheese
What was the name of the band referred to has liquid vs solid
Adversarial?
Adversarial as "liquid," Aparthiva Raktadhara as "solid." - TBMG
