One can't pick and choose only one song from from Lateralus to experience without a GREAT faux pas. Even The Grudge has continuity. Some of 10,000 Days are the same. Opiate was the album for singles. This progression is a true masterpiece, as is the rest of this album and it will be passed down to my children, as my 4 yr old daughter is already verbally showing her excitement on top of throwing up the Rock and Roll sign everytime Vicarious, The Grudge or Fear Innoculum starts to play. It's supposed to represent the devil horns, which is why I stopped doing it. Of course, you make your own decisions, though; just thought I'd make aware of the origins of that sign.
@GDJ113 absolutely. No wasted notes, no overcomplication. I'll take the Comfortably Numb solo on repeat in my head until I die over the entire Yngwie catalog. All while the singer is in the furthest-back stage position.
@@NoName-cz3wnThat's a unique way to put it. I remember trying to mimic the vicarious main riff when I first learned guitar. Ever since then, I improvise a bit to make it sound similar because I'm not cool enough to have an incredible bassist to assist me, [laughs].

It's just above my left eye, fixed with titanium plates across the cracks. To look at me, you can't tell at all. Thank you Jesus!!!
Wow, man! I'm glad the good LORD Jesus Christ blessed you with more time here! I'm just curious, what did you experience in the last week after flat lining or in the coma if you dont mind me asking? If you do, no big deal, my friend. As a believer, I'm genuinely curious about people's experience being in either of those states. Though I'd never wish that on myself, not that curious.
@@Bullet44 physically, I remember nothing. 1st morning in own bed again, woke up and just lay here, eyes closed. Had a vision. I was a bird, flying thru the rain on my road. Saw my car pull out and speed down road. Got near crash site, where I'd threatened to pull the e brake. Huge red hand arose from ground, grabbed car and flung it into tree we hit. Car smoking and steaming, wrapped around tree, with devils dancing like injuns cos I was dead. Super white bright light. Refocused on car, angels all around it giving praises to God. Opened my eyes and understood it perfectly. Get ready, cos Jesus will be taking his ppl very soon. At 14, he promised I won't see past 50, and death isn't why that is. I'm 50 now. In Amos 10, God says he despises and will ruin the Jews' feasts. He wasn't talking about his holy days, cos he would've called them MY holy days. He was talking about Hanukkah, because Jews say those are holy days but, God never consecrated those days in Torah. He's gonna light up the sky and show them which light they should've been worshipping all along. Sadly, they'll still fall for antiChrist lies for 3.5 years (God shortened those days to 5 5 months, or else no flesh would survive. I thought it'd be last year. I was wrong. This year, I'm not. Look up and REJOICE, cos we're seeing all the Hell Jesus said we would
Every Tool album is a step up in Spiritual evolution. I didn't quite like the first albums Opiate and Undertow for their personal anti-religious themes, save for some songs like Sober, Disgustipated & secret song 69. But once they released Aenima and Lateralus, and they're latest album Fear Inoculum, Pneuma being the height of enlightenment, I understood their evolutionary process. It resonates with the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, which is Nondualism. 🌀
Or I created all these albums by saying so between 6th grade in the mid '80s and 1997 plus a stint in 2003 plus writing letters to the band on their website when it was working and it doesn't have anything to do with anything except my own personal anger and views combined with their work effort and musicianship
God, i love that guitar riff on Reflection. Ive tried to play it myself on electric, but the timing is so odd it sounds comlletely wrong- even though im hitting all the notes. Strangely beautiful and moves my soul in a way similar to Rotten Apple by AIC

The moon tells me a secret, a confidant
As full and bright as I am
This light is not my own and
A million light reflections pass over me
The source is bright and endless
She resuscitates the hopeless
Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting
And as I pull my head out, I am without one doubt
Don't want to be down here soothing my narcissism
I must crucify the ego before it's far too late
I pray the light lifts me out
Before I pine away (pine away)
Before I pine away (pine away)
Before I pine away (pine away)
Before I pine away
So crucify the ego, before it's far too late
And leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical
And you will come to find that we are all one mind
Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable
So let the light touch you
So let the words spill through
And let them pass right through
Bringing out our hope and reason
Before we pine away (pine away)
Before we pine away (pine away)
Before we pine away (pine away)
Before we pine away

"i have come curiously close to the end, down," he says. I have been dead on the scene for over 8 mins. It took 7 shocks to get me back. My body should only be able to withstand 6 shocks. I was in coma 5 days, hospital 7 weeks total, i only remember the last week of it. 6 yrs before that, i crushed my skull in a crash i was passenger in.

I PUT THE ARMOR OF GOD ON. i weare it every day.
Saving this for 🍄
Good shit dawg
Smoking a Blunt and Vibe to this and everything by tool....
When i kisten to other music it feels like my energy is drained and i feel tired but tool music doesnt feel like that .

Justin's baselines make me come... to the realization he's a god

lol... only if you decide to take a businessman's trip. Otherwise, you're in for a much longer ride than Lateralus has in store for you. ;) Keep Going.....
As far as artistic expression goes, the video is extremely minimal. But, at the same time i appreciate that
I love Tool ❤

@@walkedoverwater read about aleister's night staying in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza. I am making a joke saying this magickal album was born from the ritual conducted this night inside what is known as the King's Chamber at Giza.
