@@MurrayFrost I’ve plugged in a 3.5mm male to male into the line out on the streaming pc and then the other end into the line in on my gaming pc. However I can’t hear anything coming from my streaming PC just get a little playback static coming through to my headset. Do you have any idea what the issue maybe
Great video and i think it solved my audio issues. Should wave link be installed on gaming pc or streaming pc? I have it installed on my streaming pc for the time being. Streaming pc also contains the capture card.

Hey you made it look stupid easy but i have a question.
Would it be possible to have a second 3.5 jack from the gaming pc (listening to the elgato mic) into the streaming pc so i can have 2 separate sound sources in the streaming pc?
Basically i want to be able to record and stream at the same time and edit it later, having 2 sounds sources game, discord, etc from gaming pc and microphone is a must for me.
and lastly what specs should i look for in a streaming pc if i want to stream and record at the same time?
I want the soltuion other way round. On gaming pc only game and your mic and headphone, on the streaming pc all oterh software like, OBS, music, discord teamspeak etc. Thats the true challenge and perfect solution. Only way atm a Lewitt Connect 6 or Rode Roadcaster Pro2.
i use the elgato wave 3 soon i buy the elgato wave xlr because i want too upgrade my mic soon but i kind of been loving my wave 3 for me it is going through my streaming pc then i hook u pthe dmi cable through my elgato hd 60 4k pro mk2

Question about the sounds going back from stream pc to game PC (to hear alerts) you send ALL audio back this way? Not just alerts? Or am I missing something? thx
So Elgato is mac comparable. Will this work if my gaming is pc and my stream computer is a MacBook? Wondering how to run a mic without a mixer in this case.

So wavelink doesnt go on your streaming computer? Can you do this vise versa, by plugging a 3.5 cable from your gaming computer to your streaming computer? I have my wavelink on my streaming computer, with the mic connected to my stream
By doing this setup, does the audio configurations set up in Wave Link follow over to the Stream PC? Example, I have Spotify open and playing music, in Wave Link I have this turned off for the stream side, does that setting follow over so the stream cannot hear my Spotify music? Thanks!
my only issue is the stream deck i only have one and it connected to the streaming pc to control obs but all my audio is coming from the gaming pc and i wanna control that as well from the wave link so do i need another stream deck?
For whatever reason, the option to pick the 4k pro MK2 will not show up as a playback device. The video goes through just fine but the audio does not. I am using a display port from my graphics card to elgato hdmi. could that be it?
Easy indeed, however my property settings for stream mix in sounds keep resetting every time I restart the PC

This was working for me but now it's not. The wavelink streammix is capturing audio, but when I set the hd60x to "listen" to stream mix, no audio comes through on my streaming pc. It was working so I know everything is set up right. Anyone know how to fix this?

@@soloxninja yes I did through an utterly frustrating process of unplugging, replugging the usb and hdmi connectors. Deleting the source in obs on my stream pc. Fixing the main audio output on windows to be the hd60x, muting and unmuting it…. I tried so much and I still don’t know what fixed it.
When I get towards the end and do his 2:51 I hear echo when OBS is open on stream pc, so instead of just alerts I’m hearing EVERYTHING, what do I do????
Instead of hearing like “ding” or what an alert would be I hear EVERTYHING in the stream pc audio

One more question.Can I send the sound from the gaming pc via hdmi to my streaming pc (know that this work saw with other video) but how the hell can I get the sound on the streaming pc when my wave xlr is connected to the streaming pc (wont use 3.5 cable)

So that would be audio introduced into the audio cable which is interface. Connecting a ground loop noise isolator at the end of the audio cable will fix that. Like this: amzn.to/3TvptjU

I use this exact setup and I'm having an issue where I added a face cam to my stream PC and the audio is delayed on my webcam. Looks like im speaking then we hear my voice many seconds later. Any advice pls???
Thank you, only thing I’m going to have to figure out is how to get Spotify to work the way I do on 1 pc setup. I like to have Spotify playing for me and the stream and not save to the vod so I have to have it separate from the wave link. Can you send multiple audios through the capture card somehow?

For some reason my "alerts" audio channel in Wave Link is playing my (unfiltered) Mic back to me along with the alerts from my streaming PC. Super weird, and I can't seem to figure out how to stop my mic from going through it.
I just want to know why when I do this, all my recordings on OBS have an echo from Wave Link software.
So I have to buy a different usb condenser mic other than the hyperx quadcast S I have ?….. I have that mic and dual setup I’m spinning circles here.. please help

I believe i found the answer by muting my capture card from the stream pc audio mixer.
So my stream pc has been changing the volume level non-stop. It's like the pc has a volume gain filter turned on somewhere. There's a pop sound when the volume gets lowered...

Did all of this worked perfect but then stopped working. I restart obs on my streaming pc and it works for about 2 min then stops working. Anyway to fix that?

I feel like you are missing a step, how does the audio appear on the obs on the streaming pc? What setting did you alter?
Also, does this set up let you listen to the audio seperate from what the stream is listening? On my setup the audio I'm listening to is the same the stream is listening to so that means I can't have it too high.
I assume you know how to connect a capture card which is why I did not show that here. I have about 3 different videos showing how to do that. I also assume you know how to use Elgato Wave Link but again, I have a full in-depth video on how to do that.

@@andrewcostilla8014 you can't separate the game and mic channel; the way that this video shows, I'm baffled by why every video on TH-cam shows the same method with the wave link software on the game PC, IT SHOULD BE ON THE STREAM PC its literally a mixer software, why would we put it on the game pc when we are GAMING on it we then would have to alt tab just to edit the sound levels, it should ALWAYS be on the stream pc! better mic quality for stream and you get the ability to change the audio levels without ever having to leave the game.
best bet is to get 2 aux cables and 2 ground loop isolators cause this video is same as everyone for the past 3 years and it's not the best setup or most optimal, issues I'm having with this is the audio coming from my stream pc into my capture card (hd60pro) internal card btw, always has popping and weird artifacts inside WaveLink. hence the 2 aux and ground loops to bypass sending audio over HDMI through the capture card, (the audio popping is a known issue that Elgato hasn't fixed). that being said hope this helps anyone with these issues.

Why not just connect the HDMI from gaming pc to the capture card and manage that audio from the stream pc via wave link/stream deck? 😅

i connected the 2 computers with a 3.5mm aux cable and i get a terrible scratchy noise through the headset. perhaps im doing it wrong?
im also hearing my mic over and over through a loop

The only issue I have encountered with this setup is that you can no longer change your scene and Wave Link audio levels with your Stream Deck because OBS and Wave Link are on separate computers. Is there any way around this or does it make it impossible?
So I assume you have your stream deck on the stream pc. Yeah, the only solution really is to get another stream deck. I know that the old model of the stream deck is on sale right now and is way cheaper than it has ever bran. That’s really the only other solution I can think of
I am losing my mind right now. I watched at least 20 hours of video material at this point and still cant make it work, my problem is to get the sound from my gaming pc to the laptop. I am using wave link and an elgato hd60s+

MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS TRYING TO TALK IN GAME CHAT FROM MY GAMING PC.. IS THAT POSSIBLE? I HAVE ELGATO WAVE 3 WITH THE WAVE LINK MIXER BUT YET FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T TALK IN GAMECHAT TO RANDOMS FOR EXAMPLE BUT I COULD HEAR THEM.
Is your mic connected to your gaming pc? if not thats why u need to keep the mic on your gaming pc your mic is still gonna be picked up on your streaming pc its just going through the capture card
