I've been using it for a few months now, paired with a Blue Sona mic. Very happy with it. I had a Go XLR for a few days before returning it... this suited me much better, it felt more up to date!

I'm checking out this video because elgato just released a dock for the stream deck+ with essentially the exact same internals as this so you save space and get full integration it looks perfect for what I need, just gotta decide what microphone now 😬

Your channel is my go-to for audio reviews, I really appreciate the work you put in for each subject. If those sound devices aren't really used, you can disable them the old Sound settings in the classic control panel, then they won't show up in the device selector.

I've really enjoyed mine paired with an Audio-Technica AT4040 for live streaming. As always, great content.

Good to know, software sounds cool. all your negatives are things that soundmeter has as well but even more bloat. and as for the inputs and outputs list, same thing, but you can disable anyone you dont use and it wont appear for you if you didnt know, in windows

I use it since more than half a year, and, well, I don't like it that much :/
The thing is, I bought it at a time when I didn't know much about interfaces nor microphones, not even whether I should go for a condenser or a dynamic microphone. In the meantime, I would definitely choose a different one, but more on that later.
Good the Wave Link software is nice to have and probably the main reason to buy the Wave XLR, but honestly, I didn't really used it. Only to record my desktop audio, but also just because I have a weird bug, which means if I record it, there will be some distortion in the audio.
By creating an output with Wave Link and connecting it to the game sound, it's fine, but if I want to play something different, then I'd have to change it too, which is a little annoying... However, I could also solve the problem by just plugging my headphones into the interface instead of my PC, but I also use an amplifier for my 770 Pro 80 Ohm and would like to connect it, unfortunately however, the Wave XLR is not strong enough to handle it :(
In the meantime, btw, I have ordered the Focusrite Vocaster (which will arrive in the next 1-2 days), and hopefully this will serve me better ^^, at least if there isn't this monitoring problem, I heard something about 👀

why are you routing your game audio just to be able to use your headphones? this is a totally avoidable problem if its anything like soundmeter. the ony time you route your audio is if it you dont want to hear it or have seperate controls but that would be the case wwhether ot not its plugged in or to a diff place.

I am extremely curious, does your elgato wave xlr have the problem where it completely loses audio? Like i have to close the software everytime or if i turn my pc off entirely and unplug it and turn it back on i have to do a full uninstall of everything related to the wave link software and restart my pc and then reinstall, or after 3-4 days of having my pc on it randomly stops pushing out audio or if my ps sits idle, I have not seen any videos close to the problem i have so i was just curious because it is a bit annoying to have to do these steps

    Hi!
What do you think about the Samson Q2U with the Wave XLR?

Works perfectly. It bypasses the preamp noise of the Q2U when used USB mode and Wave link let's you EQ it easily.
