- We have a closer look at the FX M4 Impact!
The FX Impact is undeniably one of the most iconic airguns on the market, having changed the airgun industry forever and truly making an impact when it was released back in 2015. With every new release of the FX Impact, we’ve made it better, more reliable, and accurate, reinforcing its presence in the industry. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the release of the FX Impact M4, improving the platform in different areas while ensuring to keep the iconic looks that make the Impact so recognizable out in the field and in competitions.
The FX Impact has been taken first places and countless podium spots at all the major competitions around the world since its release. So, we at FX Airguns made it our mission to make the FX Impact M4 not only better in many different ways but also stronger and more ridged so you as a shooter can keep competing at the top and fighting for those wins!

Trigger
The first major upgrade we brought to the FX Impact M4 is a complete new trigger system!
Introducing the FX QUICK SET TRIGGER! We all know that the trigger lays at the core and foundation of any great shot taken. Due to the multipurpose function of the Impact Platform FX/Fredrick wanted One trigger to suit every style and that can easily and quickly be changed from a Hunter style with just the right amount of pull needed to a standard FX trigger, or pure match grade trigger that is light, clean and super crisp! All this with just a simple adjustment of one screw. The Quick Set Trigger unit! No need to upgrade to a different trigger system if you want to go from a hunter one day to match grade the next!
Rigidity
To further enhance the performance and shooting experience we improved the overall rigidity of the FX Impact M4 by designing a new top plate that is much thicker and stronger bringing more rigidity throughout the entire platform.
Grip
With the new QS Trigger unit and top rail introduced we also improved the overall feel and comfort of shooting the Impact. The new FX Grip is one of those improvements that brings that feel altogether. We designed a new style grip that is more defined, comfortable to grip onto, with just the right amount of palm swell and a beaver tail to enhance the shooting comfort, giving you a firm grip on your Impact M4. Ensuring you hit your mark with more confidence!
AMP regulator
The FX Impact M4 now comes standard with our new brass piston regulator that is stronger, has faster refresh rates, more consistent and can easily handle the higher bottle pressures with a max working pressure of 170bar.
Magazine
For the FX Impact M4 we have redesigned the high-capacity magazines . The New magazines are made from a stronger material and have a new internal mechanism to ensure the inner drum will rotate smoothly even when fully loaded with some of the heaviest slugs on the market.
Scope rail
The new top plate also features a dovetail rail machined on to it enhancing the strength but at the same time bringing more flexibility when it comes to mounting your optics. The new scope rail that is longer than before can slide along that rail to get you that perfect mounting position and can be tightly secured in place with perfect alignment to the overall system!
Design
We gave the FX Impact M4 a slightly new design without going too far from its iconic look. We have done this true a decent amount of tiny important improvements true out the whole platform, like some subtle new lines, cutouts for easy access to some part and angles to tie it all together. Making the FX Impact M4 even more practical and pleasing to the eye.

More M3.1 rather than M4. Nothing radical about the adjustable top rail (Daystate/ Brocock). When the M3 came out we were all told we needed 2 regs and that any rifle without it would be obsolete. Will this one need a grand’s worth of aftermarket parts because although the M3 was perfection itself it still needed perfecting. As for the trigger I imagine most user’s will set it and forget it. FX seem to be playing the iPhone game selling the same product over and over again. The law of diminishing returns is the phrase that springs to mind. How many M3 owners will be suckered in to trading up their M3 just because it’s not an M4. Please don’t imagine I’m an FX hater, I’m not, they are an amazingly innovative company, I’m just anti ripping people off.

It's more like an MK2.1, seen as though they've now removed the biggest difference from the MK2 and the M3. I wonder if they've finally got rid of the P.O.I shift. That would be an upgrade worth having 😂
Fx business plan is how many variations of a theme can they sell at extortionate prices. Using mass produced mix and match components.

Good as always Mr. Rack. If I knew nothing of the £1800 FX range, and picked up the £1800 M4, not knowing a Regulator had been blanked off. I would want to know why £1800 there appears to be a cheap plastic bung £1800 in the body. I would presume £1800 there was a newer, better, £1800 version with something newer, £1800 better sticking out of the £1800 hole. Aha the M3, £1800 must be better as there is a £1800 Regulator sticking out of the hole. This for me sums up these rifles. On the £1800 M4 they could not even be bothered to produce a new chassis.
Daystate already did adjustable rail
Hello, glad to see you're on the ball and reveiwed the FX M4 so quickly - thank you. By the way, the power plenum is 72cc & 75cc on the FAC verion and not 720 & 750. FX has confused us with this one! The 64000$ question: would have an M4 in copper colour or and Epic 2 from Epic rifles ??? Also, YES PLEASE, an accuracy test will be great. I'll come to the shop and have a look at what's in - see you then.

Would you reviewers stop saying the plenums are 720 cc and 750 cc. Damn the bottle on a sniper is only 580 cc. Lmao.
So they have ditched the duel reg! This according to FX was going to be a game changer! Is this change mainly for the benefit of high power rifles? Good first look. Cheers Tom

Hi Rack. Spot on review as always. I have a Impact mk2 and i have been thinking about a M3 for a while but now the M4 is out with all the little tweaks I am seriously looking at it. My question is do you think it would be worth the jump from the mk2 to a M4 ?

Enjoyed your video, my MK2 sub 12 is almost 5 years old it only had one problem changed regulator in march of this year watched sub 12 for excellent advice,i never cleaned the barrel, it's extremely accurate vermin from 6mt to 55mt scope MTC prismatic 12 love the FX impact MK2, but might have a look at the MK4.Where did you get your bubble level from,and can you get slings for the MK4 👍

They look like kids guns that you buy in toy shops buy something that looks like a proper air rifle with walnut and laminated stocks rather than being ripped off with FX high prices.

Reading 📚 the comments 90 percent r right about fx. And the end with upgrades they say u will need u looking at close to between 4and5 grand. Its just a ripped off and money is not a issue on my side.

The copper looks the business. you shouldn't have to start paying more out for aftermarket parts the M4 not a cheap Air rifle.
