Happy Saturday and NEW GAME DAY! I'm jumping right into God of War Ragnarok after just finishing God of War (2018) and I'm so excited to continue this story/journey! Thank you for coming along for the ride!
@@scotch3554no she doesn't need to play the old games. I've never played the old games. I came to GoW in 2018 as a new fan. The mystery of Kratos' life before was one of the most intriguing parts of the story. I then went and watched some videos on YT about the story from the old games including one that went through the full timeline of Kratos' story so I fully understand what came before. And given what old gameplay was like it didn't appeal to me to play them. It would feel like such a downgrade in comparison to the new games.
@@JayzVeez ok but she’s not watching videos. She wants to play them I’m assuming spoiler free. Either play them or watch a recap. But she clearly has expressed an interest in going back to play the old games, which is why I said what I said.
The Raiders remind you of Skyrim Reachmen/Forsworn. Atreus CAN turn into an animal. Perhaps at some point he will turn into a bird in order to fly through the AIR to get somewhere he otherwise could not get to. It will be interesting to discover what other powers he has.
I'm here late, sorry for that. I hopefully will catch up fast ❤🤙 Btw, for me as a Swede 39:55 sounds like "Everything is cold. Meat is warm. Blood is warm. My blood". Sadly I cant understand everything, it might be closer to Icelandic. But Björn is bear in Swedish, and a name 😅 Air is getting colder, soon winter ❄
by the way, there isn’t a trace was sick because he thought he was a normal person. He did not know he was a God until Kratos told him that he was a god that’s why he got sick because he didn’t know his true form. I’ve been playing these kind of games for years every single god of war game I’ve played it so trust me I know I’m a expert.
Let's go! FINALLY a game were at least some wolves are friends. In Norse lore Fenrir is the giant wolf that kills Odin during Ragnarok. It will be interesting to see how the game handles that given that Fenrir has supported died...
Started watching your skyrim videos recently, and noticed your catalog. GoW is a recent favorite of mine, and I’m happy you’re starting Ragnarok! Keep killing it, I can see this channel blowing up
great episode to kick off the series Liz!! And sooo glad the AIR cleared up over your region and you and Xena made it through fine! Been very busy lately but hope to join the livestreams again soon with you and all the fellow spuds!!
Awesome video Liz can't wait to watch you play more of this game and keep up the great work you do 👍 and hope you have a blessed and Happy weekend ☺️🙏❤️
Hi @LizXP I've been watching your content since you started GoW 2018 and glad to see you continuing to air such great content. Hope you enjoy this game, it's even better than the last
The sickness that affected Atreus in the first game was caused by the conflict in his mind thinking he was mortal when he's really a demi god causing an existential crisis where he was fighting against his true nature without understanding it. The sickness was broken by Kratos telling him the truth. Thor was able to get through the stave because Atreus damaged it during his fight with the bear. But I would be surprised if it was enough to keep Odin out. I don't want to explain how Baldur was able to get through the stave because its a spoiler but you'll find out soon enough 😉
This game wastes no time is throwing you headlong into the action . . . and it doesn't let up. And this isn't necessarily a spoiler, but the side quests in this game are insane; some of them can be games into themselves. :) Have fun!!
Great job Liz👏🏼Enjoyed this vid so much🥰Time flies when we are having fun⏰🪽You, Miranda and Whimsy are the best to incorporate music while commenting in your playthrough🎶🙌🏼That was one of the best opening sequences in a game, Freya flying through the AIR as a hawk as she attacks us in the sled🛷🗡️🦅Epic battle against Thor, I love it when a game makes us the gamer dodge for real😂🤣😂Thx🛡️🪓🏹🐺
You should have played the previous parts (I mean the ones before 2018) to understand what Thor meant exactly! Thor wanted to see the very powerful angry god of war who destroyed Greek mythology because they hurt his feelings (I don't want to spoil what they did to him), not the wise Kratos who tries to control his anger and curb his power as much as possible so that he doesn't regret his actions. (and By the way, if Thor succeeds and makes Kratos return to what he was before.. Kratos will kill Thor easily 😂)
Couple first game answers for you - Freya's handprinted trees were cut down which removed the stave so Baldur could find you & Atreus learning he was a god fixed his illness!
I just finished this game recently! My most emotional playthrough in a long time! 🥺 My thoughts on Freya seem in a minority with some, where I felt, despite Baldur’s murderous ways towards the end, that he deserved almost more sympathy than Freya. I think she should blame herself for what happened, and that she should be apologising to Kratos for putting him in a position where he felt he needed to step in. For me, it’s not just the fact she cursed Baldur, but the fact she had chances to cure him and chose to let him suffer despite his pleas. When you get to how she later neglected her other friend, you might feel similarly to me where I really find it bizarre how many see her as a victim. Of course, she didn’t deserve to be killed by her son, or to be mistreated by Odin in her past, but I struggle to see her as a good or very redeemed character. 😅 that said I think she’s an interesting and fun character.
Do you usually see that in other videos? I've never seen them pop up while playing the game until I'm out of the game but maybe I have the pop ups turned off? Not sure 🤷♀️
15:48 Fenrir was my MOST favorite anticipated character to ever appear in this game (cause his mythical siblings Jormy and Hel was already there), and so I probably cried for a different reason here. 😭😭 In the myths, he was a pivotal member in taking down Odin. The 'Father and Son' trailer had me excited for him too. 😭😭😭😭 (Though take note that only 3 bits of light went into the air.) 1:09:25 'Eitr Imbued'

My favorite: so happy you play this 🥰
Forsworn! Just in case you don't see it in the other comments.
Yeh Nah Just caught up sort of
Baldur did not break through the stave, he got through after Kratos cut down the trees. Thor doesn’t either, Atreus broke it.
You should definitely play the Valhalla dlc it has a lot of story stuff in it as well and is meant to be played after ragnarok
Should she not play the old games before playing Valhalla?
Jeez give her a chance to finish Ragnarok first 😂

Just made it for the very end of the premier. Went golfing this morning even though the air was chilled. Awesome start to another fantastic journey
Feels like fall right now here in Florida too! I hope it was a nice time! Appreciate you Rob! Happy Saturday!

“I can’t sleep on my stomach or my arms go numb and it freaks me out.” 🤣🤣 Yammer away, Liz! It’s why we’re here. 🤘🏻
Hehe thank you!! I appreciate that!
The scene of the cubs always reminds me of Brother Bear love that movie
True!

The death from above air attack is pretty cool.
I love it too! I need to remember to use it more often!

32:34, 36:09, 53:20,57:31 these kills are awesome...satisfying 🔥🔥
Heck yes!!
"Awh wolvie..."
Oh no! she will so sad when meet Fenrir
Right?? They're trying to tug at my animal loving heart strings!
Agreed. 😭😭
In this game, it is a lot easier to compare stats with items you pick up (or can craft) in relation to what you are already equipped with.
Love your videos and your vibe while playing, you have that AIR about you like wind chimes".
Thank you so much!!
Nice reaction and ragnarok is a stellar blockbuster that I'm glad you are enjoying so far.
It's been amazing so far! Thank you!
You know for a fact that when you hear Kratos's main theme, HE MAD. xD
Haha for real! So epic!
The souls leaving the body was a good observation, don’t think it’s common to see that prophecy at the end of 2018 and connect it to fenrirs soul
A Ragnarok playthrough so soon Liz? Gonna fix myself some coffee and breakfast and watch ☕
Appreciate you!
Fun fact: Atreus' voice actor is the same actor. He just grew up 😂
Love that! Haha
Finally got a chance to watch the first episode here and she's already uploaded episode 2! (I have a lot to catch up on😃)
Thank you!!

Let's go!!
Knock knock

Airn’t you glad we watched to the end of the video and learn the secret magic word???
Hehe thank you so much!
You were thinking of the Forsworn in Skyrim, that look like the raiders in this game.
Exactly! Thank you so much!
love your reactions to this franchise. keep it up.
P.S do as many side quests as you can
I only do side quests on NG+, otherwise you have to do them again to get 100% completion.
Thank you Shane!

HELLO WHEN IS THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 2 COMING
1:12:40 "This is the man who faced down Sigrun the Valkyrie Queen?"
Actually no, we skipped half the valkyries and didn't get to her :P
Yuppp whenever they talk about the Valkyries I'm like... 👀 Whoops!
Please PLEASE play the older games or watch some lore videos on them so you have greater context and a greater appreciation
