You are so right about these games being ahead of their time. This one in particular, it is easily the best PS2 game I’ve ever played. In fact, last week I dusted off the old thing and beat this game again just to prepare myself for this playthrough. Definitely wished I had the HD version on a few occasions, but it was still very enjoyable, and I don’t think I could say that about many games of that era. Also, I just played the PC version of God of War (2018) for the first time with my new set up and it is absolutely nuts how good the graphics are in that and Ragnarök! Enjoy the ride, you are playing some of the absolute best games ever made.

So glad you're doing this! You should slow down and explore more, you missed like 6-10 chests already and one was a Gorgon Eye! That one room where you step on the plate and kick that statue through then roll through, you were supposed to break the top of the statue and drag it to the wall that had 3 chests up there and one was your first Gorgon eye! Love this game!
Just a heads up, you can turn off Rage of the Titans by pressing both sticks. Its useful to deactivate it when encounters end so you don't waste any of the meter thats left.
Mati dunno if you know this, but you can turn the rage of the titans OFF to conserve it if you'd like lol just press the button used to activate it once it's on to conserve it! 👊 bro fist!

The guy outside was Prometheus: God of Fire in Greek mythology. As he explained, he gave fire to the mortals and Zeus considered that a betrayal - essentially, sharing the 'luxury' of fire with the mortals and closing the gap between the experience of being a god and a man, as well as giving them a potent tool - and sentenced him to the torture you see depicted in the game. It's also not dramatized for the game at all, it really is that brutal. Zeus is a total dick

Here's the thing: A 'Trilogy' is an ancient Greek invention and it has rules. It is always three parts and a ALWAYS a TRAGEDY. GOW 1,2 and 3 are that Trilogy. So, In my opinion any game of GOW after 3 is non canon and has to be viewed as a reasonable continuation of financial success and motivation and nothing more. I feel the same way about Alien, Aliens and Alien3. Alien Resurrection is non canon by the rules of 'Trilogy'. Prometheus and Covenant could be their own Trilogy is they make another movie and it ends on a bad note.
My bro dropped me his PS5 while he's on vacation, so I'm currently playing GoW Ragnarok. Can't wait for you to start the newest GoW series You are the only youtuber I'm watching constantly. Seems like most are shifting to streaming. And while I get it's better for them (no need to edit videos), but for me streams are less atmospheric, cause streamers got too distracted with chat, subs and other stream activities. Kratos gets some great character development in this game. But it PALES in comparison to the Norse Saga. The storytelling and the characters (not just the main ones either) are so intricate and real. Some of the moments too, man you're going to be so happy, you experienced the Greek saga first. I CAN'T wait until you get to 4 and 5, as much as I'm enjoying the trilogy 😊

I think you missed the message, but you can actually turn Rage of The Titans OFF so you don't waste it.
Everytime you leave enemies alive (The hands iin Hades), I cringe. You are leaving behind red orbs required to level up.

GOW 2 is my fav from the series. It improved so much from the first; which was already such a masterpiece. Good call on the hard mode, it’s rough.
