I think your criticism of the lack of a „Fusion overview“ is spot on. I trust that these different ways of creating Fusion compositions are useful and came about through practical experience. But if I looked at a clip for the first time (or I revived a dormant project) it seems like I have to examine 14 different paths to see if any of them have Fusion comps applied. A perspective of someone learning fusion. :)

Right click on clip on timeline , and you have caching for specific efect in that context menu

Is 17 more stable than 16? i couldn't use 16 at all! It crashed all the time so I had to go back to 15 again.

Hi, mine do BUT.... I found that if you are working with them in the edit page and if they were previously in generators folder, you need to move them into the titles folder. Restart your computer and you’ll see them under Titles.
