I'm kinda laughing right now as you are the only one who's figured out how to increase the size of the waveform in Fusion. Everybody else is complaining about how small it is! LOL! Great job!!!

There are a couple of things worth pointing out that are not mentioned in your video:
1: Audio is copied into the RAM when cached; People with a low amount of installed RAM may want to avoid large .wav files being pulled into Fusion...
Also the old audio in the saver trick doesnt seem to work anymore for loading audio
2: Stacked audio on the edit page will be merged into a single track in Fusion.

Thanks, man, i love how you go through every type of situation to help us, and show us that we are not the problem it's the program that needs to get polished.

Glad to see a new video. Looking forward to the new stuff you have planned.

Always love your content: clearly explaining the complex to make it all usable... :)

As a content creator that does a lot of fusion to zoom when doing screen casts i was jumping through the room about this feature. No more switching edit/fusion hundred times

    Background music is so loud.

It wasn’t for me, did you have headphones in?

hopefully they fix it. Moving audio is pretty crucial for audio editing.

    Hi! Quick question!
If I have DaVinci 16 Studio, how do I get DV17? Must I still pay for it? Or is it available as an update?
    Thank you!

You can just download it and use your existing license, just be sure to make backups of your database beforehand.

I'm trying to sync waveforms as the audio sync and multicam fails...do you have a tutorial on visually syncing audio waveforms?

    Thanks for posting this!
Any suggestions for improving audio playback in Fusion? Even with a single image and a 3MB mp3 audio track, it plays poorly in Fusion (it plays fine in the editor). Fast computer w/plenty of RAM. Thx.

As it turns out, it is the jpg that causes poor audio performance in Fusion. If I add fusion to a video or use a fusion comp on the same timeline, the audio playback and caching is much better (though still choppy). Even if I add the jpg to a Fusion comp, audio degrades.

Hey, thanks for the useful video! One thing I'm unclear on is if the update to 17 brings native audiowave visualization? Right now to do this in DaVinci Resolve, you need a 3rd-party plugin, whereas options like ShotCut have the functionality built-in.
    Thanks! :)

Hi Jay, are you aware of any updates to importing compound clips into fusion? Still can't get the audio to play in a fusion comp that uses compound clips.

But what about 16.3? 17 is still beta.

Ugh... so not cool. Thanks for that heads-up, at least now I know how to work around it!

What a piece of crap Davinci Resolve continues to be. Can't believe you have to clear the cache for the audio waveforms to update. It's version 17 already for Christ's sake!
