I found it's satire is some of the most brutal of sensitive social topics that I haven't seen in a while. Its really done well. I dont think i have laughed at how messed up something was in a long time.

This was a campy satirical dark comedy & actually poked fun of present day society. In fact, lefties were most up in arms about it when the trailer originally dropped & mainstream media crucified it. I imagine Brett found humor in the material (I know I did!) but at the same time was surrounded by woke cast mates, who were allegedly relieved it would never see the light of day when Paramount initially shelved it on account of a school shooting.

@@superbubbly7978 American audiences mostly never even saw an episode and most of the outrage they had and refusal to watch the show was based on the trailer only. Then the rest of the hate was from those who already came into the first episode wanting to hate it and thats kinda a hard thing to overcome. I found that the first episode doesnt really show enough to get what the shows aim was. Because of the fact that shootings are almost a daily thing now in the US, the rest of the series never even aired. I don't know if it had, would it have been received well. The humor in the show is dark and not like Addams Family dark, i realized how most of my laughs were almost coming from how freaking brutal they were on issues that are so touchy feely here. The show is still hard to find to watch, currently only Prime has it and you have to buy the episode for 3 bucks to see it. They also edited out stuff that they felt might be upsetting for the sensitive folk. They cut enough that an episdoe is gone. I only watched the first episode because i thought that was all that was filmed and went out and hunted the series down after I found the whole season was shot and aired in other countries. I have shown it to a couple people who were originally upset and they also enjoyed the show after seeing more. With me and my friends, once the scene where the First heather dies of suicide and the people laughed at her and then she bled all the way home on rollerskates, thats the point where you get what the shows aim was.

Can we remind people despite helping all those poor people these people remain poor... like nothing ever gets fixed. In order to be able to help the poor we must have a constant supply of poor people in which we can visit and do missionary work for. God forbid the poor's situation is ever solved, improved at least. This recreation has completely lost the original story line, which is ment to be a dark comedy, this isn't Heathers, it's bullshit, where is the stereotypical popular, stuck up, good looking trio? Where is the stereotypical jocks who try to sleep with the trio? This is a fucking failure.
People aren’t stereotypes…and it’s set in 2069/70, so obviously the power structures and hierarchies will change.

The show is about 2 students who are like a Bonnie and Clyde who have contempt for all the students that are "popular" or basically have the power in the school. The head of this is a trio of people whose first names are heather. The Bonnie and clyde characters start murdering people and making the deaths appear as suicides. How is that a different story? I dont understand you people who saw an episode and because it wasn't EXACTLY the same script as your beloved movie. You all seem to be not only disliking it, but OUTRAGED so that you look for places to share with others how much you all hated it because I guess you thought they were going to destroy all copies of the film after this show or something. You know that the Disney films are not the same as the original versions, right? You understand that remakes are done all the time that change things and thats because the creators feell they have a new take or a different story they want to tell, yet people who only want to see the same thing over like a 2-year-old is why it takes forever for anything different to come out and why so many remakes are garbage. They end up folding to please people like you who the executives are basing things off of.
I find it interesting how the original film was supposed to speak to outcasts and those who thought differently, yet those people today are demanding everyone have the same exact opinion as they do or they react like a bunch of idiots on Twitter. Learn to appreciate different points of view that may challenge you or at least share you a different idea. The original script for heathers was over 300 pages and the ending to the series is how that script ended. Things change in life and not always how you want them, you cant always scream and make that change. The one thing that the naysayers achieved is another version of Heathers as a series wont come out anyime soon. I dont think its even on Paramounts service and they put the show out.
