@RohitKota-pz3mn It doesn't sound like he wanted a thank you from her. And if you are doing something nice to people you shouldn't expect anything back. Yes, it's good manners to thank people but they don't owe you that
After a hard day the last thing you need is a group of intimidating men targeting an alone woman to get a reaction of out her. Nobody needs to do anything for anyone else and you shouldn’t feel so entitled that you believe women should listen to your demand. Women are “sensitive” to situations like this cause this happens all the time to us plus much more even worse situations. It’s the multiple things piled up on eachother that piss us off more than the one single situation. Mind you this girl was also previously sexually assaulted by a man so obviously she is going to be sensitive.
Or..how about this...she could just say that she's been at a funeral without all the meltdown.
@@tmcmurra63 Because that situation is 100% valid for that reaction. People (women) don’t need to calm down or lessen their reaction after being treated horribly by other people (men). Men get told to smile a lot too, but the only difference is men don't usually blow up at people for saying so. Men for the most part nod or ignore such things, or give a normal response. Because men know people mean well. Men are happy to receive any acknowledgment of their emotions since men's emotions are mostly ignored, by being told to man up, by women or being put down by women for showing them.

This is what every woman would do every time a man catcalls or bothers her. But in real life if a woman responds she risks… and people wonder why we need feminism…
People wonder, why we need feminism, because women have it easier. Far less suicides, most poor people are men, there are quotas for women, they get hired for "diversity", far more are on universities, they get around 20% less punishment for the same crimes, and in general, the benefits outclass the struggles by far. They basically expect to get a smile. Men are simple creatures.
If you smile it brightens your day and theirs. But she couldn't so she chose anger. Unfortunately.
@@aspirin02 look in the mirror and smile at yourself
Yeah but if you think about it, like how many of the men in the world even say it? Maybe you walk past a couple thousand a week or at least drive and such past, if everyone of them is saying it, yeah its something to be annoyed about, but if like maybe one a month says something stupid it just means you met the one stupid PLUS creepy guy out of thousands. Doesn't mean men in general are creepy and stupid because of one person.
Think of it on the males side, we get no interactions, no one saying things to us, no one acknowledging our existence at all. I would be pretty okay if a woman randomly out of the thousands looked at me and asked me to smile, it would be weird and yes creepy but its an interaction from the world.
I guess what i am saying is some times there is a positive to the world interacting with you, it shows you exist and impact the world even on a small scale. Thats why i love young children no in a weird way, but just because they don't have that filter to ignore people, they wave laugh or even show expressions of fear directed at you if you are male or female. They see us all as humans. Where women want to just make up stories like they were assaulted or hunted by the world because some dumb shit wants to make a dumb ass comment. You know what men do to other men when interacting out of the blue? They assault them, if a random interaction with a guy was them just saying something id be a lot more happy than if they did what they normally do if they ever decide to act on impulse towards another man.
There is always bright side to it really. Being told to smile is such a tiny indiscretion, annoying, but not life threatening. Stop letting low IQ numb skulls with crazy chemical imbalances torment your mind. You are letting the stupid people win in your head.

I knew I looked like complete and utter 💩 and I didn’t care because I was absolutely devastated and that was not my focus whatsoever when I was dealing with losing my beautiful Father 😢 who in tf cares about their looks when going through grief 😢
I hate to commend anything from those guys but that "Sorry for your loss" was fucking gold lmao
i fucking love her
Hahaha my favorite story ever was my sister was like 14 or 15 at the Pharmacy section of our grocery store with my mom. A older man kept telling her to smile. My mom said she was trying to just ignore it but my sister walked over to the man and threw up right in front of him. The family joke is she was trying to throw up on him but was too sick to aim.
"Oi,Oi" ☠️
PLS THIS HAD ME DYIN 😂 her angst was so cathartic
She was amazing, love her
I had a guy tell me, "You'd be prettier if you smiled." When I couldn't hold it, he then told my manager that he didn't want me to serve him because I had an attitude. I had just watched my grandmother go into hospice, and I had tears in my eyes. It was the one time my department manager was nice to me.
And then you woke up, and ate your breakfast.

I have no obligation to justify prove or validate my lived experience to a stranger who’s just making petty assumptions about my personal life and the male experience
It’s beyond tiring and insulting
I’m so sick of you folk presuming to have monopolised having negative experiences regarding the opposite sex
The perpetrators of such heinous things as assault are not representative of men as a whole, and make up a foul minority that plague us too
We are also raped and assaulted and groomed, not just by other men
Yet we don’t make sweeping generalisations , or flagrantly untrue statements about likelihood or the reality of things
And we certainly don’t assume the worst of everyone that does something inconsiderate at best
But mostly we don’t run around parroting empty fear mongering bullshit whilst upholding double standards specific privileges and protections related to what we are fear mongering about..
I’m beyond tired of these conversations with uninformed assumptive categorically incorrect obnoxious little liars.
@@tr4sh.doll_ but mostly , we don’t make movies and expect constant gratification and sympathy for small imagined slights , and otherwise harmless if not a bit annoying at worst-interactions

As a young innocent man who’d sooner endanger or sacrifice his life for a stranger than knowingly make someone, especially a women, uncomfortable
I’ve had in broad daylight: multiple women cross the road to pass me then cross back
Multiple women Make disgusting assumptions and insinuations regarding my intent or the risks with children and girls, on no basis other than the fact I’m male , even at an age when I wasn’t sexually anything let alone active or aware
Etc so on and so forth
I’ve also as a teenager been paraded and examined by grown ass leering women
Forced into undressing, had my shirt stolen , been made to pose and outright “claimed” again, by grown ass women, as a young man
Been coerced and forced into multiple sexual situations while clearly objecting
Had women try and shame me into a relationship consistently openly publicly in front of others for months then act like I’d robbed them after giving up
Had rumours and lies spread again for turning a girl down
Been in multiple horrible situations several ending I violence and life changing injuries because a girl in a relationship has taken interest in me and has no self control
Had multiple women just act foul and petty because I didn’t show interest to the point it’s ruined friendships
Been shamelessly groped more times than I can even remember and put on the spot by peoples MOMS
Been consistently propositioned and flashed after saying I’m not interested past the point of persistence
Had random women go through my phone and personal belongings out of a sense of entitlement
Had valuable possessions stolen by women multiple times
Had countless racial slurs insults insinuations and blatant fetishisation again shamelessly transgressed against me , publicly
Been physically attacked by women with clear malicious intent to actually do serious harm, on multiple multiple occasions, publicly
Been casually shamed and insulted regarding my body, with the specific intent to destroy my confidence and invalidate any self worth I might have
My first ever girlfriend and consensual sexual experiences came as the result of multiple years of being openly groomed by a 27 year old, at the age of sixteen , the kind of shit men are killed for
- all of which is pretty damn standard for most men, in this country and America I only mention this because the difference is we or I , don’t look for any given opportunity to rail on about how WOMEN do those things and how inherently bad and homogeneous they are ..
My negative experiences haven’t caused me to generalise you all or label you all or the majority, as dangerous unstable predatory unchecked sociopaths .. I don’t presume my sample of interactions to be representative of women as a whole, or the weird and bad experiences to dictate my life moving forward, I take personal responsibility for my safety and well-being while trying to avoid situations that would leave me vulnerable or in contact with the types of people who tend to act that way, and I take care to not project my feelings onto innocent folk who happen to share a demographic with individual perpetrators..
Maybe growing up mixed race has taught me the importance of not stereotyping everyone all the time or because it fits a narrative of like to push
And the damage that kind of thinking does to everyone
But it seems to be an entirely female issue at the moment in that you can’t differentiate bad individuals and experiences from their perpetrators traits
As straight people, our negative romantic experiences are most likely going to be with the opposite sex, that doesn’t mean your negative experiences are representative of the opposite sex ..

The best way to show that you care for a stranger is not asking them to smile, it's to ask them "you look a little down, are you okay?" and 8 times out 10 the person would reply "no yeah, I'm good, thanks for asking" and gives you a little smile of appreciation
Edit: I swear to you, I'm happy when any of my college acquaintances texts me "I heard that you gotten sick, how are you feeling now? Hope you get better soon" and it's really nice of people to do that. They're not even my friends
@@lacommentaire141ok but either asking if someone is ok versus telling someone to smile is much more appreciated
Also some people need others to talk to even if they're strangers. You don't owe them money, or personal info
It seems your policing someone offering another alternative if people are genuinely concern if someone's ok
@@lacommentaire141 no one said they didn't like the look of people sad thought people might not like your face because it's constantly frowning on people's humanity
Also. This is a public comment. You lost the right to this topic and your private opinion when you posted it. Unless this was a in person discussion you really have no power in saying "mind your own business"
@@lacommentaire141 simply asking a person if they’re feeling alright is not the same as deciding that someone needs help due to the look on their face.
We're also missing the point here. Google some stories about random men telling women they've never met to smile like it's her job to look pleasant for everyone. Those laughs were not remotely friendly, and they certainly didn't start bothering her out of concern because she looked sad. They just thought it was their business to tell a complete stranger what face they should be making.
@@lacommentaire141 there's this international student in my college that I just knew that day and she went sat down with a lone girl in a starbucks because she looked lonely to her. Surprise surprise, that girl was a new student and we made her day by talking to her all friendly.

The proper reaction to a bunch of mehn telling you to smile. Cheer up. Darlin. *rage*
Aimee: Time to raise hell.
This kinda reminds me of how my mom quit her job once bc her boss told her she needed to smile more even though her mom and grandma had just died 5 weeks apart from each other. Plus it was during winter so she was already dealing with seasonal depression on top of that.
It all depends on her work. If she was in the customer service industries than she might have needed to smile more. After having 2 family deaths, she should have taken vacation time off because her work was going to be affected. Customers came and is paying for service and that service does not include the server's trauma. If people can't take vacation time, a good cry in the bathroom helps out a bit. Now if that boss doesn't even let you have a bit of time away from service to have some time for yourself, she needed to leave that place ASAP.
@@Hans-andersen She worked as a lunch lady for our school and she did get a few weeks off but was obviously still grieving

I have always been a very traditionally driven person regarding art. I have fallen into the stigma of criticizing or refusing to understand abstract art, but this video has brought a new perspective on the subject for me. Complex thoughts can simply not be expressed, so to bring such a simple representation that holds such a deep meaning has really impacted me.
Im so proud of her growth
I had a drunk customer came in and wasn't very clear on what she was saying, later she said she been to 2 funerals in a month, one was her best friend and the other was her mum. I can't imagine how terrible she must have felt
Wow I truly feel for her that's awful
Unbelievable
Theres so many people that doesnt understand the mindset of theses men that catcall. They arent interacting with you, theyre purposely trying to make you uncomfortable. Theres a social test made to show women actually reacting to catcalling, and whenever they did u can see the men didnt expect that and were uncomfortable with being "hitted on" back. They like seeing your disconfort and fear, not knowing what they would do next depending in your reacting, if u dont react sometimes they continue, if u do its an excuse to harrass you more, its a trap.
Actually it's a devolved form of a mating call. We've as a species moved from shrieks and chest beating to "Oy, love give us a smile. Oy, you and me. You and me."
I know girls want a chizzled Hollywood actor type to woo them, but as a species, who is not to long down from the trees, the catchall is closer to the ancestral method of finding a mate.
@@Highice007what the fuck? stop with your bullshit about catcalling=mating calls. we’re not animals 💀 i assure you no women wants you to “mate call” on the street. if anything you can get arrested for harassment

You know I'll always wonder where the need to put down bottom line essential workers as sexist/racist caricatures of men started.
Can't we go back to having the popular top 1% of men be those caricatures instead?

Just today the bartender at a coffe shop asked me if my canary had died. She asked this almost screaming from the other side of the room to get people's attention. Just because I dress in black. I asked her "should I list every death in my family just for your amusement or can I get my coffee and go?" She apologised and said it's just an expression. "Yep, an expression of bad taste".
