a lot of people don't realize that sometimes the show actually shows the reality of how children of the high school and younger ages at towards each other and what it results to it's sad this meaning for an example is an example of how many children bullying each other and it ends up in them harming themselves

I'm sorry but people don't act like this. Yes bullying does happen but it's not so in your face especially with girls. The whole show is all so in your face about everything it would be better if they gave more scenes that made you think and putting the heather title on it only made it worse.

@@nikolai3468 Yeah I saw the show and it was good but like I said I feel it would have done better if they had chosen more scenes that made you think and didnt put the heather title to it because the show really doesn't have anything to do with the original Heather's other than the characters name. So a lot of people compare them without even watching the show.

This is dark in a Scream Queens way and I love it
Heather C says she's there for everyone, but five minutes later she proves she's not. She's there to speak for them but never gives them their own voice.
I think it was a brave choice of the show, to give us someone we should be rooting for but then showing us that this person we're supposed to root for is just as bad as the people she says she's fighting against. It's about using social differences and difficulties as a way of gaining popularity and power rather than just credit cards and the right clothes. It's interesting.
And don't forget, the original 80s movie (which I'll admit is better but it's really hard to be as good as it so I'm not really criticising the show) was really different from the other high school movies of the time, so therefore it makes sense for this TV adaption to be really different from other high school tv shows of the time. Plus, kudos to then for not re-doing the original classic scene-for-scene (not that I'm criticising the musical adaption either, that's a great show). And I don't get why people are acting like this is killing the original, plenty of people are still watching the original.
I Love this show, because it's sort of the same plot as the movie, but with a twist. The hate it got was very unjustified, I think because it hurt some sensitivities, but then again, the original movie did it too in the 80's. This scene in particular was powerful, super dark with a mean spirited humor.

I felt bad for Heather in this scene, but her downfall, like her death, was self inflicted. She abandoned Veronica and Heather Duke when Heather Chandler faked her death and the second she came back to life Heather M. came crawling back.
Ryan Stannard she left I think because neither heather or heather treated her with respect, like saying “shut up heather” or when she had something to say heather said “I doubt it”
This was actually a powerful bunch of scenes (especially her on the couch)

i just don't understand how people don't like this show
I think most people don't like it because it is pretty different from the original movie. The movie had the heathers and white rich girls, who were at the top of the food chain, girls who everyone wanted to be, and who were respected and feared. In the original Heather Chandler does die, and the police do believe that she committed suicide (because Veronica forged a suicide note). The death of H Chandler causes Heather Duke (who was a girl in the original) to take the place of H Chandler. Duke in the movie was the one Chandler was always saying "SHUT UP HEATHER" to, so when Chandler dies Duke rises to power and bullies Heather Macnamara (sorry if I spelled it wrong) which drives MacNamara to suicide. MacNamara is stopped by Veronica before she can actually kill herself. So in the original only Kurt, Ram, and Heather Chandler and J.D die.
Also some people are mad about the characterization of these characters. J.D was more elegant in the original movie - which is what made Veronica fall for JD in the first place. In the movie it is shown that JD has PTSD and other things that drive him to killing Chandler. Veronica wasn't blonde in the original she had brown hair and was a lot sassier and had more snappy comebacks than in the reboot.

@dj javvon thanks and maybe people are holding onto the original just a bit too much. I haven't seen the reboot but it seems fine, and it differs from the original plot I guess too much for some people to like it

I loved this reboot so fucking much, it was so creative with its intros, editing and portraying of characters and relationships, and soundtracks were so cool
