They were smart; while every other developed country in the world locked it's citizens down, they still continued to allow travel across borders, which made the economic shutdowns pointless... Australia was Covid-free for about 100 days, so they lifted restrictions, allowing their citizens to travel abroad, and sure enough, Covid-19 resurged...
@@xamyx2205 The key for anything to work as far as covid is concerned, is not allowing citizens to travel into a covid-riddled area. Here in the States, some states have higher covid outbreaks than others. Arizona, where I live, is pretty highly infected with it, and we even have more with the border with Mexico opened (thank Biden for that), and people flooding into the States. They are not tested for covid. I do my best to be free of the disease---I'm vaccinated, social distance, and sometimes wear a mask (I hate them, but have to wear one at work). Unfortunately, even with lockdowns, covid will never leave. I myself have never been in a lockdown situation---I've worked throughout the pandemic. Some people at my work have been quarantined for the 2 weeks. They were infected, but no one has died from it. I myself get tested weekly (quick test) by the nurse at work. So far so good. Missed this type of videos. You looked really lovely with this makeup. Also it feels surrealistic to watch ppl living their lifes like before covid. The situation in my country is really bad- the government managed to screw everything up, Idk when this madness will end.
It never will end. Covid is now wired into our DNA, just like the flu is. It will continue to mutate, like the flu does. Once a retrovirus gets in, there's no getting rid of it, or developing immunity. The virus will do anything to survive. We were able to celebrate St. Pat's for both covid years, even though the pub crawl was cancelled (used to participate every year), and the number of people allowed in the pubs was restricted.
