This room is so befitting the whole feel of your house, think you just need to calm the other spare room as it's bit to busy and loud for the taste of your gorgeous home. I grew up in the country just outside Kingston in the 70's. My grandparents lived across the road in an old farmhouse. You definitely captured the aesthetic of it with the accessories and fixtures you chose!

Danie, this turned out beautiful! However, it’s missing one thing….in my house, all the guest rooms have a luggage rack. When guests spend the night, they don’t want to put their bag/suitcase on the floor. It can be folded up when not in use, but it is the handiest thing I’ve ever added to my decor!
I redecorated one of my extra bedrooms this year. I had to take everything out to deep clean the carpet. But when it was done I ended up putting somethings back and keeping some out so it turned into a new look. I used foldup benches against two walls for lots of seating. I intend to use this room for guest and games. So I left it open with lots of space for floor games. I have not added back any wall art yet. I kinda like to have one simple room. My other rooms are very busy so leaving that one being simple makes it feel like a quiet little getaway space.

Dani you can easily put a switch on your other light. get the switch at any hardware store. then drill a hole in the base and wire the switch. If you ever want to put your original light in the room, you can do it!

Dani you can easily put a switch on your other light. get the switch at any hardware store. then drill a hole in the base and wire the switch. If you ever want to put your original light in the room, you can do it!
