LOve the backyard and absolutely love Junes journeys y. My Orchard Island is thrown together. I gift flowers to other players and omg, their property is so organized and beautiful. Mine looks like the inside of my house. Total chaos.!!!love you Danie and your videos.
Everything you did looks amazing! I love all of it! You are very creative and talented. Since you are very creative, talented and skilled too I might add, take the bottom off of the thrifted coffee table and attach similar legs as you did with the other one and use the ottoman as another place for someone to sit. Your backyard deck and yard are beautiful! A piece of art or more flowers would also look so good on your third privacy section screen to balance it out, imho. :) I love the video!
Danie!! This came at the PERFECT time. My neighbour asked me to build some privacy screens on a budget, and has asked me to come up with a concept for her as she has a hard time visualizing. She wants to use left over trellis. I was going to do a whole thing in SketchUp but why, when I can show her THIS!?! So welcoming and cozy! Another beauty of a DIY. 😍
Dani’s version of a “bandaid solution” is much different to mine. That’s why she’s the DIY expert and I’m not. 😂 This makeover was beautiful and makes the deck look so inviting and cozy. ❤
Wow, what a wonderful make over! I’m going to take this video as a divine sign that I need to clean up my patio 😂. Also, quick tip: my mom has these metal planters as well and her plants dried out super fast due to the warm metal extracting moisture from the soil. We fixed it by using coconut fiber hanging basket mats as liners in the metal pots. The liners would be between the metal and the soil. And they allow drainage btw, so no need to poke holes. So if you run into the same issue: that’s a super quick & easy fix :)
Oh Danie, that looks so gooood! and it's a perfect solution for our problem. We used to back onto bushland but a developer cut down all the trees and has just finished buildingtownhouses there now and we feel so exposed. 😭 This will solve the problem and we can build it high so it's hard for them to see us from the 2nd story. It's just perfect. Thank you!
I love all that you do. I've been. Watching you DIY for a long time now. Every time I watch your videos, I want to do something around my house, too. You are amazing at everything you do. I can't wait to see your next video.
You have such amazing energy and I love how you just can be your true self on camera! I have watched a few episodes and the past few years and stumbled across you the other day and now am SUBSCRIBED! Thanks, always a JOY!!!
Amazing job as always! And I have to say, I love your beautiful curls, but wow is your hair gorgeous when it's strait! She can build anything she wants, and she looks good doin it. Lady goals!
Dani (and anyone else who may want to do this), if you want to redo the fence in future, my fiancé and I built our fence ourselves and saved THOUSANDS by using posts, 2x6s, and pickets rather than ready-made panels. It would have been $2K+ just for the panels alone (not including posts, cement, etc.), but the pickets were $2/each, so it was less than $500 for the pickets! We had to buy posts, 2x6s, and quikrete, too, but the total project was less than $1K for a 140LF fence when it would have cost $3K+ by using panels! Would have been close to $10K with the cost of labor in our area if we hadn’t done it ourselves 😅
Thanks again Diane. Your channel gives me hope that I can whip my house into shape. We bought a house in New Mexico at the beginning of the year. There two bedrooms need flooring and paint/decor. But we're struggling financially to build 2 tiny houses to get our millennial kids out of the house. One is disabled and the other is transgender. Trans is not disabled but no one wants to hire her in this small town. You give me hope that my house will look just as beautiful without boxes in every room.
OH! Dani!! THIS is your idea of a "bandaid"??!! This is beautiful! All the little sections/rooms are so nice! What a great place to hangout by yourself abd with others. Entertainment A-Go-Go fer shure!! The privacy walls adds such beauty and ambiance. I don't think I would ever leave!! Enjoy!!!
Danie, I love it!! It looks so inviting, I would spend all my summer out there. ♥ I'm so glad for you that you now have a comfortable & beautiful place to relax after working on the garage. A well-deserved relaxation space. ♥♥♥

Omgoodness! I was hoping the dining table would be in front of the privacy screen! Yay!! Also, one suggestion……herb garden on the outside of the privacy screen, or bougainvilleas!
🎉🎉 Gorgeous! I had hubby watch too for inspiration. And dude! We totally have a corner lot where accidents almost happen all the time. It's a constant source of conversation. 😂😮😂
I imagined the wicker SET under that beautiful tree...You'd have shade during the summer and protection during spring showers...AND you can watch your garden grow from there with feet up on the ottoman and your coffee mug on the matching coffee table.
So So good! I really enjoy your approach to all your projects. You think outside of the box and make it happen. That makes you "Unique in all the world" , like the Little Prince. Thank you Danie for being YOU!!!
It’s SaturDIY with Danie My coffee needs to be refilled but my day is never right until I have my Danie fix. It’s always like the money pit plenty of projects and I’m so glad I can’t get enough
Kenobi is so happy to be in the backyard where he run around as much as he likes and still be with you. And you look so happy to be in your garage which, though unfinished, is obviously already very useful.
Dani, I love this space! For your pillows, you can buy a waterproofing spray to ScotchGuard your throw pillows. Thanks for being the light that inspires so many!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great job! Here in Australia you can buy fence extenders, wooden inserts that you can add to the top of your fence. maybe something similar will give your whole backyard more privacy.
Danie, why not use the wicker coffee table in front of the sofa in the shaded nook area? It would be useful to store your drink, a book, and some decor elements. Your transformation is outstanding, cozy, and very inviting. Enjoy it in good health.
it’s like your own private Batcave🦇and your batgirl❤love it!!! I have lavender both sides of my garden and I love the way it smells when I walk up the stairs.. I love the rattan chairs absolutely gorgeous. What a deal.
Very lovely. Have you thought about tinting a weatherproofing sealant for your deck? You have such warm tones in the wood for the sofa, the lounger, and the boards for the lattice. The deck looks like quite the contrast. The yard looks very cozy.
Definitely one of your best!!! Many happy occasions there. I am still in awe of your greenhouse in the background...You could say "green" with envy. See yiu next week
Dani as usual fantastic job. Love the different cozy areas, so inviting. I would make one suggestion hoping not to offend. The leaning/ coffee ledge, I would go under about 6" and make another pony trellis wall to tie it all together. Oh and love the hair!❤
Love what you did! We redid a bit of our backyard in SE Wisconsin. We have a 50ft blue spruce that we trimmed up the bottom 10 feet. It looks so much healthier! We also gained a 20x30 foot area. We found some old wrought iron chairs and a table that we put on a small patio we created using scalloped edging and wood chips and hung some Edison string lights. Now I’m working on filling the rest with perennials that can handle the shade and being under a pine tree. I hope you’re as happy in your space as we are in ours!
I love what you did with your deck area, so cute and inviting. I also have to tell you that your hair in this episode was all kinds of cute! I really loved the look when it was straight and framed your face, but it was all cute. 😁
So cute, you could add a small framed section of the lattice under the rail. It would visually finish that comer and keep any little ones from running off the edge.
Danie absolutely lovely. I only add one thing to it. I would carry on with the privacy lattice under the "bench cup" holder for me would finish it that corner. The rest is stunning. 🎉🎉🎉 Enjoy. Wish I can have a patio like yours. 😊
South Mississippian here. It's been brutally hot, so I has been dragging my feet to watch your backyard makeover since I can't really use mine currently, but I'm glad I watched. Lovely space for a lovely person! Enjoy! (I'll enjoy mine soon enough)
Love the privacy DIY - beautiful space! Mosquitos love me too but since using The Honest Company Lavender Infused Calming Body Oil they don't bother me anymore!
I added privacy screening to my patio. I painted 8x4 pallet and hung it from the roof joist with chains. The bottom of the pallet is 20 inches from the ground, and I can look over the top of it when I'm standing
Nice job! At my own house, I personally would add to the fence instead. I’ve seen people do that and make it look really nice, intentional and most importantly looks good with the existing fence.
GORgeous! Those panels, for something so simple, had a huge impact. Those thrifted chairs are fantastic. I'm not normally a fan of wicker, but those look sturdy and comfortable, very lounge-y. The flowers are the perfect touch.
Danie, the pots don't have drain holes because they expect you will put a few rocks in the bottom to create a reservoir for water and put a nursery-potted plant on top of the rocks. This way when the water drains off it creates a reservoir. The reservoir should not be filled above the rocks, the roots should reach for it. This prevents excess water from simply pouring out the bottom. It is about water conservation. Hope that helps explain. Dani
IT LOOKS AMAZING!! Wow!! I absolutely love how creative you are!! Thank you for sharing all your ideas and life with us!! PS : I still love my “DIY in progress” sweater.. I wear it every time I craft or work on something 😂
That was such a beautiful backyard makeover 😍😍😍 I loved it! Those wicker chairs were so cute and you got a coffee table with an ottoman too!! You did an awesome job in your backyard!!
The framing of the trellis really elevates it and the addition of hanging planters is lovely. The Adirondack chairs in front of the window is a nice moment. The placement of the mirror reflects the greenery wonderfully. All in all, an awesome makeover and given me some great DIY take aways.
DIY Danie you are so creative and just a joy giver for this old lady to watch! I love all your projects, but mostly your personality is such a kick and so uplifting!
Great space for a party 🎉. Sticking a few stones at the bottom of pots allows for water to drain from the soil and lightens the load of hanging plants.

Anyone else think June looks like Courtney Cox (Monica from Friends)?

Holy privicy Batman! Beautiful job.
Beautiful, serene place to be❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I hope Canada summer will not end yet for Danie to enjoy backyard 😊
Dani, I just have to say that your hair straight looks amazing. Love the new look of your patio.
Next year, you could plant rows of sunflowers next to the fence 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻super cheap natural privecy fence😊
Always inspire me. You are BATMAN.
I love all that you do. I've been. Watching you DIY for a long time now. Every time I watch your videos, I want to do something around my house, too. You are amazing at everything you do. I can't wait to see your next video.
Now that's a pretty bandaid!!😍
I love your personality, talent and sense of humor 😂😂😂
And by “dirt spots” what I believe you mean are future flower beds! Removing the sod is the hardest part and its already done! 👩🌾💐🌱
LOVE the privacy screens. Beautifully done, Dani.
You have such amazing energy and I love how you just can be your true self on camera! I have watched a few episodes and the past few years and stumbled across you the other day and now am SUBSCRIBED! Thanks, always a JOY!!!

Honestly, the inspiration here for me is that you're doing this so close to the end of the summer. It's not too late! 😜❤️😄
It's never too late to spend a nice autumn in the garden!

I'd love to see you tackle an outdoor fireplace with pizza oven! Plus it would be a great addition to your back yard!
What a transformation. The privacy screen with the lights-chef’s kiss!😊❤😊
The privacy screens are fantastic. The entire outdoor living space looks like a magazine.
When’s the backyard party?! Awesomeness! 🎉
This beautiful backyard screams party!!

Oh my goodness absolutely gorgeous!! Avon skin so soft original spray is an absolute must have for them bites

Awesome video, as always! And yes, I joined June's Journey from last time you mentioned it, and I love it, thanks!
Looks fabulous! Time for a party.

Nothing better than a new DIY Danie video! I loved this makeover. Fantastic job. Looks beautiful. That privacy wall was the perfect solution.
I imagined the wicker SET under that beautiful tree...You'd have shade during the summer and protection during spring showers...AND you can watch your garden grow from there with feet up on the ottoman and your coffee mug on the matching coffee table.
All the wood tones and furniture with the black accents are just chef's kiss 😘! I have patio envy. ❤
Love the privacy screens and how you have different areas for entertaining. You should put the privacy screen under your little shelf you made. 😊
LOVE IT!!!
Omg that wicker set is absolutely gorgeous! That was the find of the century.
That turned out A-MAYYYY-ZING Danie. A private space to retreat to is so important. Enjoy!
So So good! I really enjoy your approach to all your projects. You think outside of the box and make it happen. That makes you "Unique in all the world" , like the Little Prince. Thank you Danie for being YOU!!!

Beautiful! Some day, maybe planting some thuja green giants along the fence will give you beautiful privacy. They grow pretty quickly too.!
The privacy screen looks great, as well as serving its purpose. Adding the flowers made a big difference. Looks great
BEAUTIFUL and PERFECTION!!! I wouldn't change a thing as a job WELL DONE and RELAX and ENJOY!!!!♥️🙏👍
I would totally live out there, it’s amazing!
Great job! Here in Australia you can buy fence extenders, wooden inserts that you can add to the top of your fence. maybe something similar will give your whole backyard more privacy.
I am so wanting a space like this! Those privacy panels are such a beautiful addition without looking too closed off. Love!
this spongebob bandaid turned out so nicely!
The perfect pineapple under the sea 🍍
Wow! Total perfection! What a beautiful deck. Definitely an oasis!!!

The screens look sooo goooood 🤩
Looks absolutely beautiful. The planters on the wall WOW!
The backyard redo turned out really cute.

In the small town where I live on the Texas Mexico Border, we've had 53 days of over 100 degree weather to date. Enjoy the outdoors.
Wow! For a bandaid, this is gorge!
Danie,
You created a beautiful backyard Oasis.🌺❤️😀
I added privacy screening to my patio. I painted 8x4 pallet and hung it from the roof joist with chains. The bottom of the pallet is 20 inches from the ground, and I can look over the top of it when I'm standing

Oh Danie it’s stunning! I’ve just moved to a ground floor flat with a garden and it needs a makeover…. I wish I had your energy and talent ❤
I do love what you did. Use the new to you ottoman for random seating and the rattan table like a server.❤
OMG! I'm so jealous . A while ago, I did thrift those same chairs and am still looking for the footrest since then . How lucky you are.❤
I love your lattice walls! And your vintage furniture finds are fab!🎉🎉🎉
It’s so great! The soily patch on the other side of the screen looks like a perfect place to plant some hydrangeas and climbers 👀🧡

I’m still obsessed with your hair and when you wear it in the lil piggy tails like that I screech bc it looks so nice on you.
It looks heavenly! Now it’s time to get to my June’s Journey!
Looks awesome!!
IT LOOKS AMAZING!! Wow!!
I absolutely love how creative you are!! Thank you for sharing all your ideas and life with us!!
PS : I still love my “DIY in progress” sweater.. I wear it every time I craft or work on something 😂
Beautiful make over back deck. Love the Ikea planters to hang off the lattice.
You can use those short lattice fence bits to extend your fence 2-3'. Makeover looks great.
That was such a beautiful backyard makeover 😍😍😍 I loved it! Those wicker chairs were so cute and you got a coffee table with an ottoman too!! You did an awesome job in your backyard!!
You are one fun entertainer/diyer! Loved your project and the way you put it together.
