    Really like the directions, « next move ». The music is secondary which I like because I can also hear the timer. Awesome!

    Good morning Meridith, just read an article that upright rows are bad for shoulders? Any thoughts? TIA

    • @SeniorFitnessWithMeredith
      @SeniorFitnessWithMeredith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Marcia! Thank you for the comment and question! So, upright rows cause the shoulder to internally rotate, which is an unnatural movement and does impinge the nerve. The movement alone can be okay, but when adding weight from dumbbells or bands, it can cause harm especially done over time. Now, with that being said, all types of movements should be done with caution as each person is different in their ailments and injuries that exist. Most recent strength workouts, I have chosen to take out upright rows. I do not like overhead presses for seniors either, so it limits to side and front raises(which, if you watch my workouts, I try to explain fully each time because shoulders are so prone to injuries).
      Again, always working out at your own risk, listening to your body, and knowing what is best for you are the key !!
      I hope this helps!
      Take care and stay well, Meredith

    Thank you Meredith! I must say, I'm not a senior but I really needed this today. I am still recovering from the long term effects of Covid -19. I just turned 30 and it is hard for me to do regular workouts due to the joint pain and fatigue, plus balance issues. Even some of the "low impact" workouts online are too intense for me right now. Also, I appreciate the encouragement to go at my own pace as I have been a bit hard on myself due to my age and expectations I put on myself. Take care and God Bless!

    Hi Meredith this is one of your short routines I do on a regular basis. Sometime by it’s self but also along with one of your other videos. I do like the cardio work in particular. Is there any chance you could do some more 10, 15, and 20 minute cardio routines, would be fantastic if you could. Thank you for all you do Meredith, your amazing, please keep doing what your doing. Regards Caroline. X💜

    Through decades of trauma that have taken a toll on my body I've been slowly trying to build endurance and strength to go with my sons to Disneyland in September. Today I tried this and did it! I started crying afterward because I'm so moved. I did this! I could do this. One month ago I couldn't get through a 5 minute beginner workout. I'm getting stronger! 😊❤

    I really liked this for starting my daily hour of exercise because it got me GOING. I was thinking how perfect this would be to wake me up during all the sluggish waiting at airports when flights are cancelled ... one's body gets just so lethargic!! This would pick you right up and get air moving and circulation. BTW what is that shirt in the background that says "STRONG"?

      Hi Sooz! Great day starter workout, or airport pick-me-up! In the background is a tote bag from my merchandise collection, saying “All Over Strong”.

    One month in and I've come so far!!! I did this 3x through. Im noticing a difference in my daily life too. My balance is better. My heart and lungs are stronger. I make it up hills w/out stopping half way up. I do at least one of your workouts every day. Thank you so much!

    Meredith, I just finished the Sept. 18th live stream. It was challenging to be consistent in form and reps with my 3lb. weights. Much thanks. Yippee to the All Over Strong Community!
