Don't sweat it if you forget or don't have a bank account. One of the very first things they do in boot camp is give everyone the option of signing up for a Navy Federal Credit Union account. Even if you do have an account, I highly encourage going this route. You'll have access to a Navy Federal Credit Union any place you get stationed. The same cannot be said for other banks.

Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend? Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures. A woman made it to day 4 of BUD/S first phase recently but she quit on that day. That’s the farthest a woman has made it. Her BUD/S classmates told me that her class hated her and ran her out from under the boat because she was a boat ducker. Nine women have entered the SEAL pipeline since 2016.
I've never been to BUD/S, I'll never go there. I'd never make it, and most men can't make it either. If you're the first woman to make it, your name will be in history books. Wish you the best.

I got rid of everything, but kept essential things like photo albums and put them with friends and family. If you're leaving your current life entirely, yeah you can just get rid of everything. The navy will always provide housing. Usually a barracks room, but once you get promoted to E5 you can get money to live off base.
I'm Enlisted as an E3 so after bootcamp and A school, they will provide housing even in the base that's fine I don't wanna keep paying for an apartment that I'm not sure if I have to come back for it other than that I can get red of my car and keep just the important things that I could give to a friend to keep for me, also wanna inform my landlord That I'm leaving is that what should do? And thank u so much for responding my comment
You should still bring your phone and charger at a minimum, besides that I guess if you want to play on hard mode you'll still make it. 90%+ of the stuff you need is just issued to you by the navy anyways and you can buy the rest inside.
There is a chance at a possible waiver, as with other things, but it's probably not likely. I actually just let that inhaler comment slip out if you want to know the truth.
What do you mean pack for bootcamp. They make you put everything on your person in a box including your clothes in the first 20 minutes of getting off the bus? Unless somethings changed in 6 years since I went to bootcamp I would pack nothing
You might find your answers by watching it, but you can take a lot of stuff inside with you and have other stuff ready for graduation liberty and A school
That's a swangky and vibrant blazer there my man, ya got your own style and i can appreciate it. This was informative! i didnt know that people with asthma can join, i have friend distraught that he cant join the airforce because of his conditional asthma (mainly flares up around spring, triggered by pollen). So the navy does work with people who have asthma?
Thanks, I really like this red one. I might have misspoke, officially the Navy says the answer is if you have asthma symptoms after your 13th birthday you might be disqualified but should still apply, try, and see if there's a waiver available with the recruiter and MEPS.
You're going to use the eagle card. You're also gonna have the opportunity to set up a bank account at RTC. I'd recommend just making an account before showing up. See the setting up direct deposit video on the channel posted a week ago.
If you show up to boot camp heavy, you'll probably be allowed to train still but you'll wish they didn't let you. Your life will not be rainbows and unicorns. Everything will be more difficult and you might get sent back in training because you fail fitness events, which means you lose all your friends, your enlistment bonus, and you have to stay in boot camp longer. Stay in the best shape you can! If you can't run a mile and a half or do 50 pushups, keep exercising until you can before you go. Boot camp will not get you in shape, only test what you brought to the table.
You have to make weight or body fat before you ship, or you will not be leaving on your ship date. If you have gained weight, get at it to be back to where you were when you joined or below to avoid any issues. Don't give meps the power to keep you from achieving your goals. Good luck.

Do you think the Clifton 9 Oat Milk shoes are in good taste?
Good evening, My name is Max Gonzalez. I signed a formal saying I can retake the Asvab inside Boot Camp. Can we bring an Asvab book? Or negative?
Why do you need to retake it in boot camp?
Leaving May 30th
Same here. Excited and nervous!
Godspeed leaving next week
Could the inside of the shoe still be stenciled even if its black?
Hopefully there's a white tag in there, otherwise it's possible they use a white/silver marker to mark on black fabric.
How often can you call home during basic?
Wait, did you just say bring your inhaler if you have ASTHMA? I had to rewind that about 3 times to confirm. Isn't that an automatic disqualification
There is a chance at a possible waiver, as with other things, but it's probably not likely. I actually just let that inhaler comment slip out if you want to know the truth.
If you score high enough on the ASVAB, your recruiter will find a way to waiver your asthmatic ass to boot camp.
September 9 is my ship date who else ships on September
I ship Sept 10 chicago
Hi! I dont know if I missed it or not but is deodorant allowed to bring in to bootcamp?
Bring a brand new travel sized one, otherwise you can buy one inside RTC.
I swore in on Valentine’s day, is anyone else leaving on April 18th???
April 15!
@@gabriellecallwood529 I'll see you at Great Lakes Gabrielle!
I swore same day, but I leave Tomorrow.
Lezgo bro leaving the same day!
Hey! Since I have my hearing test waived at MEPs, do they have that information at RTC lakes? 😅
yes
Going in navy boot camp april 2🫡
Best of luck!
May 29
good luck, you got this!
Who’s going may 29th lol let’s be buddyssssss
I should have been a seal. I got in a fight with an instructor though.
Is the medical part at bootcamp the same thing at Meps ? Or is it just getting shots administered?
They give you shots, there's dental care done, hearing tests, a few other things. It's not just meps again, no.
Do they supply the Fursuit when you get there or is that something I have to buy myself before hand
Going to RTC august
best of luck!
@@HaedenBeck thank you
Same I leave August 13th
@@aaliyahcampbell8110 I go the 15th. Guess we’ll be in different divisions. Lol
Do you bring original certificate of documents or just copies of certificate?
What if I don't have a bank account, are you able to receive paper checks?
You're going to use the eagle card. You're also gonna have the opportunity to set up a bank account at RTC. I'd recommend just making an account before showing up. See the setting up direct deposit video on the channel posted a week ago.
@@HaedenBeck right on bud, I appreciate the quick response. I'll be watching for the next video 😎
Do you know what happens if you make weight at meps and get overweight while in the dep program?
Good luck.
Done
Best of luck!
I really enjoyed boot camp!!! USS Kearsarge!!!
June 24 😁
How much do they deduct each month?
So can I just bring my cellphone and my paperwork?
And the clothes on your back, yeah. Other stuff is just recommendations and information.
What about undis can bring my own, cause i kinda need specific comfortable ones
No. Nobody used their own, we all used the tightey whiteys they gave us and then no underwear, we wore the pt shorts.
@@HaedenBeck tightey whitey😅 hey thanks a lot good to know
