Great video and totally agree. Having had a Tiger 800R for 9 years, wanted a change and test rode both the 900Rally Pro and 900 GT. Opted for the Rally Pro given the state of our roads these days and after only a few days of ownership it has proven to be light, agile and well capable on the road. Off road stuff to follow but even if you didn't take it off road it's still a fantastic well equipped bike and easy to ride and live with!

Hi Si, I just subbed your channel, great content, I've owned this bike since July last year and I can honestly say it's a whole load of fun, recently fitted Mitas E07+ tyres and in my opinion the bike handles even better now, for the money and what you get, I don't think there is another bike out there that matches it in it's mid range bike category for what you are getting, it's an awesome bike and so happy I chose it over a GS.
Thanks for the sub Moto Tripper and thanks for sharing your experience with the Mitas, I have to agree the 900 is an absolute cracker, very hard to beat it for sure.
Great review Si. Agreed with all your comments - I've owned mine for over a year now, covering 16k miles on and off road in England and Wales. Touring France in June, but I really need to take it up to Scotland to enjoy the stunning scenery and roads. Thanks for the review Si. I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. I’ll need to come in and see you at some point this summer for a test ride of the 900 and the 1200. Looking to replace the VFR800 as I just hate the riding position. Unfortunately the Mrs has told me I’m not allowed to order anything until December so another riding season of discomfort coming up 😂

A good bike for sure , it would be a great long distance adventure bike if it had shaft drive.
Come on Triumph ,you'd dominate the mid size class with that !

Spot on! A shaft option would be more than sufficient for 99% of riders; Moto Guzzi clearly demonstrates the viability of lower capacity shaft drive bikes.
Yeah lets add another 15-18 kg to that size bike.... Throw it on the center stand and lube it - job done
@@karstenlund8956 . Not necessarily that much additional weight . Moto Guzzi V85TT = dry wt 203kg , Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro = dry wt 201kg .
Excellent review. I totally agree with your mate Ali. I fell out of love with my R1200 GSA during a two week trip through Europe. Two months later I’d swapped it for a 900 Rally Pro. Do I miss the GSA? Not one bit.

Ideas for a review, you ask. The Tiger 900 GT Pro as a comparison. I’ve read somewhere that it outsells the Rally Pro? As you know I have a 900 GT Pro and it’s enough suspension for some off-road but more importantly plenty for our iffy Scottish back roads, so for me it’s our better choice.

Great video! I saw your review of the GT, interested how you think the GT & Rally compare off-road?
Cheers Patrick, I didnt do anything to taxing on them to be honest however the Rally is always going to be that little bit better with the 21" wheel and taller suspension. The GT was super impressive though it behave impeccably, hope that helps :)

Love my big GSA Ben, bought it a few years ago and it owes me nothing, im very lucky that I get to use the Triumphs regularly so no point in me selling the GS. If I was starting from scratch and going out to buy a new bike I would defo go for the Tiger this time, it's just more exiting to ride. What are u riding?
Well, it’s a long story. After seven GS’s I needed a change. I tried the top four, Ducati v4, V2 and the tiger 900/1200. I rode the triumphs twice. I also had a wild card in mind. The KTM SAS.. this is what I brought. Owned it for six months. It’s a real joy.I also own a speed triple 1050 RS. In fairness they are all great bikes.

I am seriously considering getting a tiger 900, would you recommend GT or Rally for touring.
I would take either Chewie try them both out for size you won’t be disappointed with either ✌🏻
