    Great review. I got a 2023 Tiger Rally Pro and love it. I added crash bars, bash plate, mirrors, foot pegs, panniers, top case, tank bag, etc etc for moto camping and paragliding/hunting trips. Love mine.

    One of the best reviews of this bike, congrats.For mirrors don't waste time on the clumsy to use Double Take which are heavy expensive and take such a lot of fiddling with to reset up every time you back to the road. For less than half the price (and half the weight) buy the Tourtech folding mirrors which have a built in ratchet that allows you to fold to any position including fully folded and then back out to road position in one second. Guaranteed to get back to the exact set up every time and much clearer mirrors and less than half the price. No I am not a Tourtech dealer just trying to help!

    • @unparalleledtwin901
      @unparalleledtwin901  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you buddy, that's a big shout, really appreciate it! Folding mirrors sure are great for these sort of scenario's, even had them on my Scrambler at one point. Will keep my eye out for those should I ever pick up a Tiger! Thanks for the recommendation mate 🤙🏼

    • @VamsidharaChakravarthy
      @VamsidharaChakravarthy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with the quality of the touratech stuff but the price... I dug a little deeper before ordering... Double take gives u the price for the pair... 138 bucks at the time I checked and touratech being a little sneaky gives price for the single mirror which is 48 dollars so 96 dollars in total so the price difference works to more like 38 USD not less than Half of double take

      Thank you man. I think these were the Pirelli STR Rally tyres, but I may be mistaken. Tread pattern is the same. I know on the Triumph Adv Experience the Tiger 900's were kitted out with Metzler Karoo 3's. Both performed great.

    Excellent review guys - thanks. You said you could easily flat foot - what’s your inside leg measurement. I’m 5’ 10”, but with short legs (29”). I tried it at the NEC show and with the tank shape it was actually much easier to get a foot down than my Tenere 700.

      Thanks Tahir! You know I'd still say you could easily sit flat footed on the 900, I'm the same height, just longer legs (not by much) and I'm tip toeing on a Tenere 700. Ridden one and can't flat foot unless I lean the the bike. Tank ergonomics and seating position are great on this Tiger 👌🏼

  • @Ian-bq7gp
    @Ian-bq7gp ปีที่แล้ว

    The old Suzuki DR650 and DR big are solid, reliable basic easy to work on bikes. These days there are so many electronic gizmos and ABS and bells and whistles unlike the 660 trident with basic cheaper parts bin forks, brakes, suspension as this 900 tiger costs probably well north of 10k for the most basic version. I hope they bring back basic analogue Speedos etc and save bikers several grand from new.

    I have a 1200 Xe Scrambler and i am seriously thinking about a swap; the only concern i have is that the style and the feel of my scrambler will never be reached by this tiger. Overall this bike is the perfect all arrounder, not heavy as a big 1200 adventure bike, powerfull enought, cool and capable. I'll probably enjoy my Xe for a little longer and then i'll swap.

    • @unparalleledtwin901
      @unparalleledtwin901  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's a great dynamic, and whilst they're both awesome bikes in their own right, there's a lot to love regarding versatility & practicality with the Tiger. I could imagine owning one in the stable. for sure. I do think the 1200 Scrams offer this package though, in a different aesthetic. The heritage and styling is what sells it for many. Myself included. I'm looking forward to experiencing the Tiger 1200 in the New Year.

    Thank you

    • @unparalleledtwin901
      @unparalleledtwin901  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries at all! In terms of comfort, I think it's safe to say the ergonomics & wind protection make the Tiger the winner in terms of comfort. That in no way means the Scrambler is not comfy, as I love it. As for 'funny' define what you mean by this? Assuming 'fun' then that's a tough one! Both awesome fun in their own right! Tiger gives you heaps of confidence and is a full on utility vehicle! Scram is just badass, the parallel twin, the feel and aesthetic, always makes me grin.

  • @keyboarddancers7751
    @keyboarddancers7751 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    As long as it's relatively straightforward and practical to maintain over tens of thousands of miles/kilometers (no evidence to the contrary so far despite its Thai manufacture) then it definitely seems like a Land Cruiser of bikes. (Not sure any automotive manufacturer would really want to be compared with Land Rover!)
    Certainly asks some very searching questions indeed as an overall long term package in terms of sheer value for money and ease of use when put up against the big litre+ behemoths and against the T7, 890 and 901 trio.

    For the mss?! This bike is a “Plastic Fantastic” look bike. I like bikes made of steel. Maybe i take a 900 tiger for a spin….

  • @Ian-bq7gp
    @Ian-bq7gp ปีที่แล้ว

    I'd be afraid of the repair bill if I dropped it and I'd feel more at home on the 1200 . I'd be afraid of the engine case on the tiger ,900 as the upper crash bar is screwed into the aluminium and that's frightening if it's the same engine case and crash bar attachment on the tiger 800.

    • @unparalleledtwin901
      @unparalleledtwin901  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a very fair comment! Despite the general consensus in the 4x4 community, Land Rovers are iconic, which is why 90% of the 4 wheeled vehicles in Salisbury Plains during this video, were Land Rovers. The MOD invested in Defenders. I still stand by the statement in terms of capability & being a British Icon.

      GT PRO is a Subaru. The Rally is more like a Toyota Land Cruiser.

    • @Ian-bq7gp
      @Ian-bq7gp ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, fragile and expensive it's me off straight away. If you can't bend things straight in a vice for example like the older British bikes it becomes yuppee toys, not for people on basic wages like less than 2k a month.

    The factory crash bars are posers, for looks only. Why do that? Cost, can't be that much more expensive to put something decent on. Makes me wonder triumph's real intentions of this bike. Crash bars on the KTM and Beemer are functional. Just saying.
