      You can start practicing tummy time with your baby from the first month. at the beginning start slowly and for short periods of time if your baby doesn’t like it at first. then gradually increase the time.

    When should this exercise start ?

    • @BabyPillars
      @BabyPillars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thank you for your question. You should start tummy time as early as you can... and when your baby is able to. not all babies like tummy time, that is why you should start slow and for a few moments every time.

      We incurage parents to practice with thier baby for around 20 minutes a day by the time he or she is 3 to 4 months old. You can start with in the first month (week 3-4) for a few minutes and gradually get up to 20 by 3-4 months. Then keep the practice until your baby can roll over on his own. Hope it helps....

      @@BabyPillars Anything changes with a premature baby?

    • @BabyPillars
      @BabyPillars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@vanessaspada Hi, with premature babies not a lot changes BUT the thing you should pay attention to is the development delays if they have any.
      With premature babies you might need to start the process a few days/weeks after. It really depends on the baby but you might want to start tummy time at 6-8 weeks and not at the 2-4 weeks mark… hope it helps.

      Hi Nikii, yes, these exercises are safe for your baby at this stage. Just start slowly, put him on his tummy for short period of time at first - when he is awake.

      Tummy time also..when can we start?

    • @BabyPillars
      @BabyPillars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gokul. You can start tummy time with your baby at this age. BUT:
      1. start slowly, if your baby doesn’t like it at start, don't push it. Start with a minute or two every time. 2. Always but ALWAYS when you put a small newborn in tummy time it should be under your complete supervision don't leave her or him alone for a second.
