- Please leave the DST to AUT - this is the Daylight Saving Time which will forward and set back your time with one hour automatically in spring and fall (this only works in the areas with radio towers, Canada does not have these towers). And my mistake, the watch is controlled remotely by radio waves from towers, not by satellite

Correction. As pointed by others at 0:55, the DST rather means Daylight Saving Time - leave it to AT (automatic) to have the watch advance and set back the time automatically by one hour every summer and winter. This works even in Canada where we don't have radio signal.
Also, as noted by many of you, the watch is remotely adjusted by RADIO waves, not by satellites - I have too much of imagination sometimes. Casio operating guides web.casio-intl.com/support/dst.html

Very well explained Sir! I had left my watch in a bedside drawer for too long( not good for a solar watch), and couldn't remember how to reset the time after i recharged it again (which took a while). I shall keep this video in my favourites for future reference. Thanks again!

The hand set mode of the WVA-109HJ was entered in a somewhat different manner, the C button is used to get to a screen with "HS", then the A button is held down to enter hand set mode, causing HS to flash.

Peppermint The time signal isn't coming from a satellite. Here in the Midwest U.S., it's a land-based radio station broadcast, WWVB (60kHz) near Fort Collins, Colorado. WWVB gets its' time feed from a cesium fountain atomic clock near Boulder, Colorado.

Sorry, no good, when I press the light button all it does is turn the light on, nothing else so I cannot follow this video. I am trying to correct the minute hand which is 2 minutes slow and I cannot find a way to do this.

@@billoneill220 It sounds like you are trying to contact Casio about the repair but this is a TH-cam channel, and a reply to someone else's comment at that, and it doesn't appear to be associated with Casio in any way.
In addition the description you gave is not a model number number just the text that is on the face of the WVA-M630 and WVA-M640 series of Wave Ceptor watches. Those watches should still current and parts should be available. After a month you have probably already talked to Keanes Jewelers about your watch, but if you haven't I would recommend talking to them about it.

I hope you have gotten your watch sorted. If not, the manual states that you can set the time manually. First of all your watch is only designed to receive time signals in Europe from both the German and British sources. It only supports European time zones, +0 for London, +1 for Paris, and +2 for Athens.
To manually set the time, press and hold the top right button util the current timezone starts flashing. It will appear as a +0, +1, or +2. Pressing the lower left button will cycle through the different settings you can adjust. It starts with Auto Daylight Savings Time, then goes to the seconds, hours, minutes, year, month, then day. Lastly you have the option to turn off auto receive, which may be a good option if you can't get the signal. It will then go back to the time zone selection.
I hope this helps, though you probably got it taken care of in the past three months.
Do you know what you're talking about? What do you mean satellite reception? The watch doesn't receive satellite signals, it receives radio signals that are sent out on long wave by 6 transmitters that are situated in North America, Europe, Japan and China. Outside of those areas the watch won't update and needs to be set manually. The adjustment you showed saying you were turning the satellite signal on and off was the Daylight Saving setting. If you're going to put videos on TH-cam at least make sure they are accurate and you're not talking bollocks.

Actually not on watches.. well not to the point of collecting but I still remember some game watches from the 80s. This one was is dad's watch, he was pretty lost about how to set the hour. Actually, without the instructions I had no clue either Cheers
Casio watches are of the worst quality because most of them fit with 4 bolts in a resin box or plastic those 4 holes are overcome when you change in the second battery and as careful as they do and you can no longer dive it into the water a great decision the Cassios with bolts
