So glad I found your tutorial. I've had this watch for years but couldn't find my manual. This is what I needed to get my watch set manually. THANKS MUCH
My husband has this watch and when he has gloves on it bumps the bottom left hand button and it changes the time. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
ERR means the receive operation was unsuccessful. You can try to have the watch receive again outside (may or may not work), or try having the watch receive again at a time of the day when radio traffic is lower (such as midnight).
@ thanks. As you suggested -- I tried receiving again outside (last night) around 10pm ET. With no luck. Any other suggestions? (OR - should I just do a Manuel reset……and, just get used to ‘resetting’ the time, that way?)
@@jonmanke1058 Radio traffic may be too great in your area at the time you tried a manual sync. Let the watch attempt to sync itself. If your home city is correctly set so it uses the proper time server, the watch will try up to 6 times to sync the time between midnight and 5am. If you place the watch on a window sill, it should sync the time and date on its own over the course of the night.
Ok. So when I press the lower right button - it states GET. And, then it state RC! But, the image of the “radio telescope” icon is not filled in - (it’s more transparent). Anyway - it hangs out there for awhile - (a couple mins) -- and, then the ERR comes back. I may have to abandon ship…. Ha ha

When I do the manual “set” - I get an ERR message? Any advice?
