For anyone who's interested, Casio also offers the Lineage LCW-M100TSE-1AJF, which is basically the same watch, but with all-titanium construction (but at more than double the price of this Waveceptor). Great review, Nick!
You’ve got the best reviews on everything that interests me. Based on this review of this watch, I knew that this was my weekend/beater watch. I’ve been using it for more than a week and I love it. Thank you for your informative and very humorous reviews. You’re the best!
I bought a brand new Casio M640TD-1AER off ebay to replace my previous M640D. Nothing wrong with my old one just a few faint scratches on the glass. These watches are true put on your wrist and forget as they keep time to the second. My replacement actually came with band adjusting tool which was simple to use. I have 2 other radio control clocks and they both show exactly the same time as my Casio. I agree with the plastic included in the construction not being very aesthetic but on top of that it's a brilliant watch.
Nick, I'm a huge fan of your channel and a loyal viewer, but for goodness sake if you're going to keep doing watch reviews get yourself a set of digital calipers and stop measuring the diameter inclusive of the crown. Sheesh!!
These Waveceptors are GREAT! I have the Lineage LCW-M170 which is a bit more dressy with a Sapphire crystal, a nicely finished SS case that has regular lugs (mine is on a croc strap) and a wonderful 3-D dial for around $140. Tip: the digital display comes in two types-dark numbers on a light field (like the review model) or the opposite. Get the one like the one reviewed. It's MUCH easier to read.
Nick, your review is spot on. I found this watch last November and it's been my everyday timepiece since. Feature-wise it does everything I need and more, and I love that I can rely on its time being accurate to the second and that it never needs to be wound or reset. The price has gone up a bit since your review, but it's still an amazing value proposition. I'd love to have a Titanium Oceanus someday, but I'm grateful to Casio for providing equivalent functionality at a price anyone can afford.
Their "Lineage" line has the same features as waveceptors, but with better polish, sapphire crystal, and titanium case and band options. I got one and wear it every day! Check them out.
I have one and that's such a smart product! Tough solar (Casio) or eco drive (Citizen) is such a great idea we should think a bit longer about when we are talking about energy (problems) in other cases! I mean this watch work nearly endless. You don't need to care much. The battery is said to work about 4 months without charging. I get mine "down" in 4 weeks by playing with light, manual synchronising and so on. But it's not easy to get the battery too low because it then have no functional buttons to get it much lower. You have to put it in a box for longer. Real great product worth every cent!
Great review. It really frustrates me that quite a few of these otherwise great value Casios use these integrated bracelets with plastics that detract from the looks, and as time goes by these plastics both yellow, and get brittle. I also wish they would illuminate the LCD panel instead of a watch face that already has nice lume. A lot of Casio ana-digis have this same problem, even my favourite G-Shock, the AWG-M100. This is a great looking piece with a ton of great features though.
Agree that toolless quick adjust is the only way to go and is a feature I can no longer live without. This looks like a lot of watch for $85 (current price on Amazon). Doing tasks where I expect to beat it up some, this is much better than destroying a nice $200 watch.
Wow, what a nitpicking about the watch that must be by far the best buy for any occasion except if you need a dress watch. It's a beautiful, lightweight, accurate watch with all the functionality that you may need. it gets adjusted by radio/satellite signals once or more times a day, depending on where you live. The solar battery gets full in 5 minutes and doesn't tend to empty easily. Fixed bracelet is hardly a drawback on this watch.
I think he took a breath at about the 3 minute mark but I may be wrong ! Slow down fella. Anyway I got my 2nd of these watches in July 2014 for £82.80 from Amazon which wasn't that much more than I paid for the previous one several years earlier. I was HIGHLY recommending it to a friend yesterday (Nov 2021) and checked the price on Amazon and was stunned to see it was £136. Holy markup ! Why such an increase ??? Well I'd buy it again even at that price if the need ever arises as it's a superb watch. Once set, I've not touched a button on it for over 7 years. What's not to like.....well except for the current UK price.
Great review Nick. I've personally downgraded to a Timex Katmai and find the ana-digi combo to be super useful. Would love to see more reviews of these types of watches.
Thanks so much for reviewing this. It’s been sitting in my amazon cart for months. I didn’t want to pull the trigger because I was having a hard time finding reviews for this. But for 100$ I think I’ll take the risk.
I owned this watch for many years, much longer than I should have. It has a major flaw, which some other comments touched on. The bracelet is attached to the watch with a piece of plastic. The silver paint on the plastic wears off very quickly, and then the yellowish plastic makes it look cheap. Eventually, the plastic broke, and that was the end of it. The movement itself is good and the functions are practical. If you're within range of the transmitter it is always accurate to the second. Because of the cheap materials, I wouldn't compare it with an Oceanus, which is in a different league.
I managed to pick up one of these recently off eBay at a good price, not a lover of bracelets but the guaranteed accuracy and solar made it worthwhile. I had to get an extra link as bracelets had been shortened but apart from that it’s been fine, has to be with the stupid connections to the watch ruling out strap options. One suggestion for size comparisons, why not include an AA or AAA battery as it’s pretty much known everywhere so would give everyone a comparison they could relate to.
Nick, we all have a little watch problem! Thanks for the review. It is to bad this watch is a lot more expensive at Amazon in Europe. What an impressive watch this is.
I own this watch, the "rubber" band version with the red second hand. I like it a lot. It is packed full of functions and is lightweight but tough. Never need to set it, which is amazing.
i bought one for my brother 17 years ago , it was 140 dollars at Sears , he wore it every day working construction , lasted him 15 years , got myself one ten years ago , going strong .. I love this watch , I haven't seen them for 80 bucks but that's a good to know , mine was about 140.00 as well from Sears , I need a new strap now
I have an older, cheaper model of this watch, the 470 with a plastic band, and I actually like it a lot. Regularly on my wrist when I don't want to wear my chunky ABC Pro Trek, and still need the benefits of quartz timepiece with multiple time-zone support. Thanks for the review!
I bought mine in a shop in Japan on holiday when my current watch broke. The great advantage(!) is that is does the days of the week in Japanese rather than English.
I think the plastic is some G shock technology, but a bit too much in the feature list, like semi-G shock resistant. What I like the most, is the unique digital font and the overall perfection. I got a 1AER recently.
I have to say here... If you find that your wrist has suddenly swollen to the point where your watch feels tight, then maybe you've got bigger problems than the watch 😅
I have the JDM version of the Waveceptor, an Oceanus-lite if you will, the LCWM-100TSE-1AJF. It has a titanium case and titanum bracelet. Under $200 shipped from Japan.
Really like your video and this watch looks really good. I own several Casios and have only recently purchased a tough solar one which does not have the radio control feature as this watch does. Two of my favourite Casio's though are the MTD 5230 D dive watches, one in black and the other in blue. Both are superb watches if you are looking for a dive watch for a smaller wrist at around 40mm. The watches are water resist to 200M and have a screw down crown and back plate. The glass is hardened crystal so is pretty scratch resistant also. Good lume also like this watch you have shown. I purchased from Ebay UK for below £50 for the blue version and for 51 Euros in Malta last year at a jewellers. Great watches at a great price and very comfortable to wear.
Will you pick up an Enzo Birk 75 S30V In Ironwood with a full flat grind, and do a full review? I believe you will love that knife. Deep carry clip, perfect centering, no blade play, thumb stud is behind cutting path like the Rat 2, and it’s beautiful...
Just pulled the trigger on a green one of these from Amazon model WVA-M630B-3AJF. $109.99 from Japan. This model I can change the watch band on so both my son and me can wear it. Man it would be hard to buy a watch that I could not change the band on except for my iron man and they are pretty disposable because changing the battery on those things and getting them back together is a huge hassle. I don't have a green watch but I guess I do now. A little birthday present to myself. I wish it has 100 meter water rating but looks like the same watch that has that rating. I am sure it will be fine to go swimming in or wash my hands or sweat like a big dog in. I always feel better with the 100 vs the 50 but maybe that is just all hype and I am just one of the sheep that buy into it. Thanks Nick, like I needed another watch and quartz watch with that tick, tick, tick of the second hand which I hate. It will be nice to have a watch I can lay down during the week and pick up on the weekend and it has the correct time and date on the thing. My kid will probably take it and I will never see it again! Anybody know anything about this model? It looks like exactly the one Nick is reviewing only the 2013 model. OMG am I moving away from automatics to quartz? Am I getting old and setting a watch is becoming to big of a hassle? I guess I better buy myself a Spyderco Delica in green to complete the set. :)
Just One More Watch just reviewed a Wave Ceptor Lineage that's about $250 or so... I found this one on Amazon and purchased! Thanks for the review Nick (you also helped me decide on my Ontario RAT-1.) 😄
Hey Nick, I think the main reasoning behind the plastic (apart from budget) may be being able to receive radio updates? Not even iPhones can go with full metal and need a bit of plastic to function properly regarding radio signal.
I just got a very similar watch to this one, the WVA-M630D-2AJF. It is able to sync with the atomic radio signal just fine even with the all metal construction. The main differences are that It has an all stainless bracelet and case but only 50m water resistance. For me it's not a bother because I don't go swimming often enough for it to be a concern. I'm not sure why they went with the plastic but I believe budgetary concerns may be it. I'm guessing it's so they could hit a certain price point. The model I got has the same movement, the 5161 but it's a Japan import only and I believe the WVA-M640D-1ACR is readily available at US based casio authorized dealers.
Great job Nick! BTW, Would you do a review on the Casio LCW-M300D-1AJF, or the 600D. I really like your no nonsenses reviews and also we both like great tool watches. I think you're going to like it. Thanks!
Great review, thanks! I've had the original WVA-430J (with the metal band, not the more recent ones with plastic bands) for many years and I still love it. This one looks lilke its successor. The integrated metal band makes it look great, but it's the main problem I have with it. My watch is really showing its age now with some of the metal finish having rubbed off some of the plastic parts, but I can't change the band. I'm really thinking about getting a new one, but aside from the worn off finish, it still works great!!
Thanks for the review, I just ordered one of these. There are aftermarket adapters that allow you to replace the band with nato straps. I'm going to wait to get the wash first though before ordering them.
I own a WVA-430TE since years, also with solar, wave ceptor and titanium instead steel, so very lightweight and affordable (200 € but the street price was surely lower). It has sadly also plastik parts but they were originally painted in titanic color, but it has some scratches after years. If it breaks, I will buy another one for sure.
The Lcw-m170td-1aer model looks similar, but overall a little nicer. I'm not sure, but it looks like it takes a regular band, too. Unfortunately for whatever reason it's available in Europe and Japan, but not in the US.
Great review! I am going to have to get one of these now. I have the WVA-470 which is an earlier version of the WVA-M640. Great watch line too! Do you by chance have any review of the Casio Edifice ECB-500? It is actually one of my favorite watches, but the band is not easy to adjust to your wrist size.
Nice watch, on point review, down to earth area of expertise. Nothing crazy here. Nice!👍🏻👍🏻 FYI: Casio Duro has been and still is $40-$45 on eBay. Got mine like that.
Oh shit nick I can feel myself slipping into a watch hobby so quickly because of you... I really want to buy this one. I've been dying to get an atomic watch...
EDC with Aaron earlier last year I got a 10 dollar casio after watching a Nick video......now I have a 300 dollar moon watch on the way and I just ordered a 12 watch case to replace my 6 watch case. DO NOT GET INTO WATCHES.
Nick Shabazz || MIXED.MESSAGES! Hmmm. Who or what else gives us desires, but tells us to abstain from fulfilling them? I can't quite remember; it will come to me, m'Lord.
Trust me, I have this watch and it is the most convenient watch you will ever own! The size, the weight, atomic, solar power, auto date, everything you need: world time, stopwacht, timer, 5 alarms, sound for every hour, adjustment of bracelet, 100 meters WP.
i saw this on a e-commerce portal in asia and it got i'm interested in its field watch variant (looks a bit like the citizen you compared it with). like i said, the other models w/ the same module can be played w/ in terms of straps. really looks like a very good bang for the buck proposition.
I've owned this watch for a couple of years and have never had an issue with the bracelet. Nor have I found anything that I would change (nitpicking aside). Now for the best part: I found it at a thrift shop for $15!
As this watch is, in essence, a radio receiver (with a functional antenna), some of the metal parts of the the watch must be isolated from other metal parts of the watch, hence the plastic. This acts as an insulator for RF reasons.
Except that the Lineage version of this watch (same module) has a full metal case (body and back) and receives without problems. Maybe the reception at such low frequencies (60KHz or 70KHz) is mainly by the H-field (magnetic component of radio wave) as opposed to the E-field (electric component of radio wave) so the signal gets through. Or perhaps through the face? Not sure!
Nick, I have the exact same watch but the strange thing is that mine is with 'titanium' back (written on the back). The color is exact the same. Mine is model WVA-M640TD-1ACR. The interesting part is that my watch weighs 2.2 ounce which explains my titanium but yours is not full metal, I would expect 4 ounce weight if it was metal. We both have a resin strap, I thought mine was titanium all the way like in the specs but this is not the case. I bought mine in Europe. I am very happy with this watch. I am very interested in your previous Oceanus OCW-S100-1AJF watch but also the Oceanus GPS watches which are more expensive than your Oceanus. Do you recommend the Oceanus?
Great review. I bought the Oceanus for $500 plus because of your review but would never sell it like you did. I ordered this one after watching your review because of the price and added features. This will be my 4th watch but don't worry I won't buy anymore unless...
Hey. Can someone confirm if the window is mineral glass or acrylic? I'm finding conflicting information online. Amazon UK lists it as acrylic, Amazon US as mineral. User reviews are also conflicting about this. And for some reason Casio's website does not give the complete specifications. It's the only thing I'm concerned about with this watch. Otherwise, I really like it and the price is good right now.
Really good review. I wish I had seen this before I bought this very watch. I love it, don't get me wrong, and I would recommend it to anybody but I wasn't expecting some of the negatives you mentioned, especially the visible plastic on the body.
I have since upgraded to a Casio Lineage model with real lugs, sapphire crystal, full steel case, but otherwise the same watch. I am loving this watch!
The Casio Lineage model LCWM100TSE1AER has the ability to use different types of straps and braclets and is more classic looking. Has all the same awesome features as well.
Just stumbled upon your video the other day, Nick (VERY nice and thorough review, I must say) - and immediately fell in love with the Waveceptor series. I've been wanting to buy a new watch for a while, and wanted a simple, stylish one without all the bells and whistles, and this would be ideal for me. However, realizing the body is metallized plastic, which is a shame, I just ordered the Lineage LCW-M170TD-1AER titanium one (~460 USD) instead, and can't waiiiiiiiiiit to receive it! :D
I wouldn't say the plastic was metalized, its a colour that barely stands out and hard to notice without taking it off. I've never given it a thought, it doesn't seem to be a weakness and if you do spot it while wrist worn it looks more like a spacer than a link. you can get a more expensive version that's all metal now
If they were still making the WVA-320J, I'd buy one. It has the same feature set, a more attractive case (real lugs, all metal) and a rotating bezel. Judging by the prices these go for used on eBay, there is plenty of demand ... hard to understand why they aren't raking in the dough on that model.
Had this watch for two years now and it's excellent. After having it for a while I promised myself that I'm never going to buy a watch that doesn't have the functionality of this one. Why would I?! It's completely service-free, fire and forget. Only downside for me is that plastic visible by the band but they have very similar models in their Lineage lineup so maybe that'll be my next purchase.
Mr Shabazz ( real name? Whatever - a great moniker) : the most unique & entertaining voice on watches ( I wonder if he's available for after dinner speeches, weddings & barmitvahs?).
It is all titanium and has a sapphire face. It also has about a 20 year battery life and can be put on a shelf in a closet for a year or so and be brought back to life in a few minutes. It has 4 computers inside of it and is very elegant looking with blue accents on the hands and numbers.
If it doesn't then there's an adjust mode that lets you recalibrate. Mine had an accident in a spin-drier and I was able to reset it back to perfect alignment myself
Hey Nick, you are an excellent TH-cam knife reviewer, and I love the watch content. But man, your watch reviews need some lovin’. I look forward to more!!
Hey Nick, great review, I might look into this as a watch to wear in the workshop. On a side note, are there any concerns with buying a solar watch like this or the Citizen BM8180 off Amazon? My concern is how long they've been stored in the dark, and the effect that might have on the power cell. Any concern about damage from over-discharge? Thanks!
Buying one from Amazon it has probably sat *less* time in a dark case than at many vendors, Amazon gets new stock at a rate it probably doesn't ever sit still for long.
That is a lot of value for the money... I currently wear a G-Shock that's about the same price but isn't solar or has the Atomic Clock feature... Love to see some G-Shock reviews too...
Darn u nick, i Just bought 4 of the casio stainless steel watches you reviewed within a week including the oceanus, royale, protrek, and waiting for this guy to Come in. Please oh please do a review on the G-steel lines...
Would love to see a review on a Gshock 5610-1, very interested in getting an atomic watch. Was also looking at the Citizen eco-drive CB0020-50E, looks pretty good but the size at 43mm has me second guessing it.
Got one. Great value. Great features and function. Looks OK. Always accurate. Would look nice on a leather strap. And there's the only real bugbear for me. The supplied band is fine but every time I wear this watch I always think 'wouldn't this be better with lugs and spring bars?'. That said it's a watch that I rely on and would recommend to anyone who is frugal but wants quality.
Bracelet kills it for me ,Shame otherwise a little gem ,If accurate time and function are key things in your life and can stand wearing a bracelet its a very attractive option and I would never guess it was plastic without holding it .I'm def looking for a quartz you dont need to change a battery but I think a Kinetic quartz poss a better option than solar .Any thoughts Nick ?
After watching this review I bought this watch as an everyday piece. I am very pleased.
Does this watch have sapphire?
For anyone who's interested, Casio also offers the Lineage LCW-M100TSE-1AJF, which is basically the same watch, but with all-titanium construction (but at more than double the price of this Waveceptor). Great review, Nick!
LCW-M100TSE-1AJF
Plastic case allows for improved radio signal reception.

Only ones I'm seeing are ~$250 US.
Does the model you're talking about have the same lume?
Yes, same lume, same light
I picked mine up on eBay some years ago. Prices may have changed...or my memory. Came from Japan if I recall correctly.
Thank you for mentioning this model. I think I found the watch I always want. A atomic + solar low key daily under 40mm!
Nick, your review is spot on. I found this watch last November and it's been my everyday timepiece since. Final conclusion.. "Don't get into watches " 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't know about that. Nick seems wishy-washy about it.
Their "Lineage" line has the same features as waveceptors, but with better polish, sapphire crystal, and titanium case and band options. I got one and wear it every day! Check them out.

I know i shouldn't get into watches but I'd really like to get this one now. I'm screwed...
Yep: this watch is the thin end of a VERY fat wedge.
Would you say the Lineage Casio LCW-M300D-1AJF is better than the Waveceptor WVA-M640D-1ACR?
Thank you for the watch review! Keep them coming, maybe make their numbers more equal to the knife reviews...
Nick, we all have a little watch problem! Thanks for the review. It is to bad this watch is a lot more expensive at Amazon in Europe. What an impressive watch this is.
I just bought this watch today. Good review
I own this watch, the "rubber" band version with the red second hand. I like it a lot. It is packed full of functions and is lightweight but tough. Never need to set it, which is amazing.
Also, there's something about how you pronounce the word "quartz" that is pleasing.

I love Casio watches
I like your profile pic
l got the Casio Lineage titanium and sapphire that probably has the same module.
Yes, it does indeed. Module 5161 seems to be quite ubiquitous in the Casio Wave Ceptor range.
I think the plastic is some G shock technology, but a bit too much in the feature list, like semi-G shock resistant. What I like the most, is the unique digital font and the overall perfection. I got a 1AER recently.
As a bonus, the -1A variant of this watch comes with a titanium and resin case. I wonder if that's even lighter than the one you just reviewed?
Nick, have you ever considered reviewing a casio calculator watch? Idk what model i have exactly, but i absolutely love mine!
Please, yes! Just imagining what Nick would do, it would be the greatest watch review on the internet!
Can you type “Boob”? If not than it’s a no go for me
Riley Bracelin you can absolutely type 'boob' (8008). You can even save it in a database if you feel like it!
Le Lemon thanks, I’ll look into one
I have to say here... If you find that your wrist has suddenly swollen to the point where your watch feels tight, then maybe you've got bigger problems than the watch 😅
I have the JDM version of the Waveceptor, an Oceanus-lite if you will, the LCWM-100TSE-1AJF. It has a titanium case and titanum bracelet. Under $200 shipped from Japan.
Thank you for doing this video Nick! This is watch, I've always looked at wondering how good it is. Now, it's on my list of watches to buy!
Really like your video and this watch looks really good. I own several Casios and have only recently purchased a tough solar one which does not have the radio control feature as this watch does. The citizen will tick once every 2 seconds to indicate low battery. So you infact don't have to hope it's charged.
Yes, but it's different to only find out the battery is low when it's low, rather than finding out what charge actually is.
That's like only having a warning light in your car when your gas is low instead of a gas gauge,
Good review, does anyone know if the glass is acrylic or mineral And if you can change the language of the days?
Though in 2023 I am paying $111. 🙄
Does it have any blade play?
It can intercept the waves of your heart. This is the cheesiest. Thank you Mr. Sabazz!!!
How did you hind the volume of the alarms? I've tried 3 and they are barely audible.
The plastic body is needed for the automatic time setting
i found this video after seeing this watch on someones wrist at work, it looks superb in person
Thanks for the review, I just ordered one of these.
There are aftermarket adapters that allow you to replace the band with nato straps.
I'm going to wait to get the wash first though before ordering them.
Hi can you share website info for these adapters?
is there a larger version of this watch by chance. ?
I own a WVA-430TE since years, also with solar, wave ceptor and titanium instead steel, so very lightweight and affordable (200 € but the street price was surely lower). It has sadly also plastik parts but they were originally painted in titanic color, but it has some scratches after years.
If it breaks, I will buy another one for sure.
What a beautiful looking set and forget watch. Had a Gshock Casioak but this looks like a classier replacement
I've got this watch with a black resin strap. Gives it a nice sporty look.
I love the way you say "a-okay" .
Does the bezel move? Bi - Uni ?
@Douglas Pantera
Thanks for the info.
Nice watch, on point review, down to earth area of expertise. Nothing crazy here. Nice!👍🏻👍🏻
FYI: Casio Duro has been and still is $40-$45 on eBay. Got mine like that.
Oh shit nick I can feel myself slipping into a watch hobby so quickly because of you... I really want to buy this one. I've been dying to get an atomic watch...
DO. NOT. GET. INTO. WATCHES.
EDC with Aaron earlier last year I got a 10 dollar casio after watching a Nick video......now I have a 300 dollar moon watch on the way and I just ordered a 12 watch case to replace my 6 watch case. DO NOT GET INTO WATCHES.
Nick Shabazz || MIXED.MESSAGES!
Hmmm. Who or what else gives us desires, but tells us to abstain from fulfilling them?
I can't quite remember; it will come to me, m'Lord.
I now have 82 knives 3 watches and a blue t-shirt.
Trust me, I have this watch and it is the most convenient watch you will ever own! The size, the weight, atomic, solar power, auto date, everything you need: world time, stopwacht, timer, 5 alarms, sound for every hour, adjustment of bracelet, 100 meters WP.
What happened to your Oceanus? You seemed to have glowing reviews of it at one point.
I sold it. I shouldn't have sold it.
i saw this on a e-commerce portal in asia and it got i'm interested in its field watch variant (looks a bit like the citizen you compared it with). like i said, the other models w/ the same module can be played w/ in terms of straps. really looks like a very good bang for the buck proposition.
Hey Nick, are you planning to do a full video on that Vostok Amphibia you flashed in your Breitling reveal video?
thebeverage213 th-cam.com/video/G-chHX7hqmM/w-d-xo.html
Not sure!
mansplaining! that's bs sorry
Been a while since I thought about buying a watch, but damn something about this is just really nice.
I thought the Citizen did the two-second-skip when it was low on power?
It does.....
Not available in India..any links
Great review. I bought the Oceanus for $500 plus because of your review but would never sell it like you did. I ordered this one after watching your review because of the price and added features. This will be my 4th watch but don't worry I won't buy anymore unless...
DON'T GET INTO WATCHES.
Well, too late now. Might as well ;)
What is the difference between the 640 and the 630?
The Casio Lineage model LCWM100TSE1AER has the ability to use different types of straps and braclets and is more classic looking. Has all the same awesome features as well.
Would be great to see a review for the LCW-M500TD-1ER
Love everything but the size. 45 mm is larger than most dive watches and this watch is mostly dial.
I've never given it a thought, it doesn't seem to be a weakness and if you do spot it while wrist worn it looks more like a spacer than a link. you can get a more expensive version that's all metal now
How do you adjust the time setting on the Wave-Ceptor with the "fall back" event today?
It actually takes care of that itself
If they were still making the WVA-320J, I'd buy one. It has the same feature set, a more attractive case (real lugs, all metal) and a rotating bezel. Judging by the prices these go for used on eBay, there is plenty of demand ... hard to understand why they aren't raking in the dough on that model.
DON’T GET IN TO WATCHES
Its a slippery slope...
The Delica of watches.
Do you mean Celica?
@@jettydoomDelica > everything
Had this watch for two years now and it's excellent. After having it for a while I promised myself that I'm never going to buy a watch that doesn't have the functionality of this one. Why would I?! It's completely service-free, fire and forget. Only downside for me is that plastic visible by the band but they have very similar models in their Lineage lineup so maybe that'll be my next purchase.
Hey Nick, could you do a review on the Luminox 3051?
Mr Shabazz ( real name? Whatever - a great moniker) : the most unique & entertaining voice on watches ( I wonder if he's available for after dinner speeches, weddings & barmitvahs?).
What makes the oceanus worth so much more?
It is all titanium and has a sapphire face. It also has about a 20 year battery life and can be put on a shelf in a closet for a year or so and be brought back to life in a few minutes. It has 4 computers inside of it and is very elegant looking with blue accents on the hands and numbers.
Quality. The second hand hits the marks bang on. I have seen quartz Omegas that don't hit the marks, and I am not talking about parallax!
Good review
Q - do you own
One ? And wear it ".
Thanks!
Nah, it should be fine. Most of these watches have a power-saving mode anyways.
Sorry... meant higher end G-Shocks...
But then again, your G-shock will outlive this by a lot.
Terrific review, Nick. Thanks!
Mr Shabazz has reviewed the 5610
should have known that, hah, thanks.
This was a vary through excellent review, Thanks much!!
Does this model exists with a titanium backside?
Got one. Great value. Great features and function. Looks OK. Always accurate. Would look nice on a leather strap. And there's the only real bugbear for me. The supplied band is fine but every time I wear this watch I always think 'wouldn't this be better with lugs and spring bars?'. That said it's a watch that I rely on and would recommend to anyone who is frugal but wants quality.
reliability is a good word for it.
Can you review casio LCF30-2B
