I’m getting the iPad Pro 13.9” and can’t wait! I live on my iPad Pro so the new one and the Magic Keyboard are awesome.
I’m excited that I should be able to finally watch an event as it happens. :) 10:00am PST is usually during my busiest time of day - but I can swing a 7:00am PST easily to watch during the slowest part of my shift!

Any thoughts on if the physical dimensions will change, other than the thickness? I'm wondering if the new 13" iPad Pro is going to fit into my various carry bags (my M1 12.9"" barely fits in many of my camera bags).? Just another expense if I have to buy more carry bags to fit the new 13" iPad I guess.
Will they drop the 9th gen from the lineup and drop the 10th gen price if no new cheap models?

As long as they’re not putting a notch and everything is good. on the phones, we have no choice other than to put the notch or the unit put on the iPads and MacBook, there are no excuses

I’m really really hoping the pro’s will work with the Magic Keyboard. I got the 2022 on release and HATE the screen. The keyboard is still serviceable.
I don’t think they will release that with M4 they usually introduce the architecture of the chip in A series chip in iphones

If it’s his thin and as light as they claim, I will definitely buy it. I was disappointed when I upgraded from my iPad Air 2 to my iPad Pro. It felt heavy, and very uncomfortable to hold. We were clearly missing the Johnny Ive design ethic. I miss how wonderfully light and comfortable to hold my iPad Air 2 was, and I’d love to have an iPad with an OLED screen that is also substantially thinner and lighter.

I want an iPad Pro with a 12.2-12.5" screen with thin minimal bezels. Micro LED screen, 240HZ PM, Stacked Battery Tech. Also Game Mode too.

Okay they are giving people the M4 Chip. But starting prices of 1,500 to 1,800 without any extra's is ridiculous. I realize that AI is the new and upcoming thing. But for me, I really don't care about the AI thing. I'm sure there are die hard Apple Users that will jump into all this. But, I won't be one of them!!

I really want the iPad mini to be announced with M2 or M3 or the same chip that’s in my iPhone 15 Pro Max with a better screen and Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and I know they probably won’t do this, but I would love to see the camera moved to the same placement as the new pros and new airs are going to get
My dream is an iPad Mini with 120 Hz OLED and M2, but knowing Apple they wouldn’t do that for at least a decade. Still, a mini with an A17 Pro chip would be kinda cool, especially since its performance is relatively close to an M1 chip. The larger frame and battery would also give the chip more room to flex in more intensive applications compared to the 15 pros

Ive had my ipad pro since 2016. its time for an upgrade.
I’m still using my iPad Pro 10.5”
Let’s hope this new iPad Pro can do pro WiFi with WiFi6e and actually can do 160MHz bandwidth. That would make it great for files transfers and editing off my servers and NAS’s with 2.5GB Ethernet interfaces. Fingers crossed, just maybe they can do WiFi correctly this time?
if apple releases an ipad pro with the m4, it be wise to wait until november to release it so it releases with the other m4 devices like an m4/m4 pro mac mini , m4 max/m4 ultra mac studio and mac pro or even finally the return of the imac pro with an m4 ultra or m4 extreme soc

What I would most like to see in a new Apple Pencil is for it to go battery-less and, more importantly, have an eraser tip on the back end-which could be done more easily now that it's not using that back end for charging. Gestures and touch/tap/squeeze sensitivity are neat features, but I don't find them particularly useful. I think we've all used No. 2 pencils in grade school, and so the action of flipping the pencil around to erase a mark is completely intuitive; more intuitive than going to the tool bar to select the "eraser" tool in your painting or drawing app. Wacom has had this capability for perhaps 20 years. It's not new tech.
Also, removing the battery, Bluetooth, and other internal electronics on the Pencil would increase battery life on the iPad, as it wouldn't need to charge the Pencil, or use Bluetooth to communicate with it. And since the Pencil can be attached to the iPad magnetically when not in use, the "Find My" feature doesn't really seem all that necessary.

I am always skeptical of Apple doing their thing...they sold me a Homepdo wiith Bluetooth which apparently works ONLY wiith Apple devices because its not the bluetooth commonly used by other devices like Samsung. I could not connect my new Samsung S23 to Homepod via Bluetooth and my research told me Apple sold me an expensive paperweight under the name of Bluetooth-supported speaker

Have the iPad Pro 5th gen and it works great. IF/WHEN they ever announce a 15" or 16" iPad Pro then I'll be preordering mine the day it's announced. And no, price wouldn't matter.

whats the point of having ultra good displays when the current ipad display quality is more than enough? how does this make a difference for the day to day ipad usage?
The oled tech makes a difference in battery life as it is usually more power efficient than lcd displays. In terms of colour accouracy I am not sure but it might improve too, but apart from these two you are going to be completely fine with the prevoius one.

At the end is all about the “marketing”.
I continue to be amazed at TH-camrs boasting about how powerful iPad Pros continue to be, yet nothing about the glue they need to connect to some of the most powerful servers around the world. With internet service providers offering speeds far beyond one gig, service levels commonly used by “pros”, I would think there would be more said about if Apple would be introducing WiFi7 along with OLED. I won’t even ask about supporting 4K native resolution because we already know that ain’t happening despite some versions of the Pro costing well over $2,000.
Off topic.. If I wanted to get a new MacBook Pro M3 Max should I wait at this point for the M4 Max. Thoughts appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

If you don't buy direct from Apple there are good deals to be had mid-cycle
If you ever get to this point , wait and then see both products side by side , if you get the older one , it would have become cheaper

5:26 The only thing I would be interested in to make the iPad feel more like a Mac would be if it actually could run Mac OS programs. Like actually running MacOS instead of a "mobile operating system" where devs feel the need to not make desktop class apps for it.

And it will overheat faster = battery health reduces faster if the battery is heated regularly.
I hope they drop that old design on the $329 iPad and reduce the price of the current (relatively modern) $449 iPad to under $349.
