I think iPhone 16 Pro is gonna be the only phone with on device ai, with quick response. The other phones are likely to receive all ai features in iOS 18, but have to wait for the request queue for the cloud server.
New phones need solar panels to passively charge the battery.

I am still on my iPhone 13 Pro, but just looked on Amazon on my S23 Ultra for a "13 Pro MAX" at only $557. There is no better option for me right now, and the battery on my 13 Pro is at 90%. The 13 Pro Max is a 256 GB model.
I’m still using my iPhone 11 Pro and I’m super happy with it. Just had the battery replaced after buying the phone in 2020 and wearing the battery down to 75% capacity. I’m not getting rid of this phone until I can’t use it anymore or until the current iPhone really blows me away. The most noticeable downside of this phone for me these days is the shitty quality of the ultra wide lens.

Unless you think with an added OLED screen, 120Hz, Ultrawide camera, 5G connection, USB-C is not an upgrade, then yes the iPhone 16 will be the same as iPhone 11.

Warning‼️ Once you go 120hz, you can never go back! Your eyes from that point forward will always notice the jaggedness of 60hz.

I’m on an iPhone 13 mini. To be honest, I absolutely adore the size. Battery health is a concern because it doesn’t last long and depreciates quicker than the newer, bigger models. But the size is so ergonomically pleasing.

i like the size of the dynamic island, very handy feature for switching between active apps.
While more screen real estate is always better, I think the island is more aesthetically pleasing than a dot.
Not only that it would look like a copy cat Android phone. I’d say it will stay as is until and unless it can go fully UDC which still doesn’t seem possible with current camera tech at an acceptable quality. Once removed the Dynamic Island functionality could still remain on demand in software only?
After getting Samsung I much rather a Dot looks more futuristic and with a 6.9 screen it's bound to make my S23 6.8 inch very jealous 😆

Not gonna lie bro phones are starting to plateau in general. If you want an entirely new camera design switch phone brands or accept the physical change is far more incremental now because there isn’t that many more ways to make a phone.

One thing TH-camrs never mention now is how Apple is aggressively slowing down iPhone 13 and older to force the sale of the latest iPhones.
i have an iphone 13 and i really dont feel that its gotten any slower and ive had it for 1.5 years now. im not saying that youre wrong, i just dont find that the older iphones are made slower on purpose.
Ive been on an iphone 11 pro since launch and its the same as i got it from day 1. The only time its been slow was last year when the battery health went down to 75. I replaced the battery myself using ifixit and since then its been back to normal.

Apple isn't the only one who does that though. Samsung is known for doing it as well. Seems like it's a tactic from the top 2 cause Google doesn't do it or any of the Chinese brands.

Shit bro, I'd say go to the 13 pro/promax. If anything, for the 120hz display...like seriously it does make a big difference compared to 60hz. My dad used a X for years and i got him to upgrade recently. Now he can't look at a 60hz display anymore, he says it gives him a headache lol

I used to get the new iPhone every year from 2009 to 2021. Apple hasn’t done anything after 2021 that made me want to get the next model on release day. Phones have run out of major hardware updates (just small camera and screen brightness updates). Now it’ll come down to software which is compatible on every phone.

@@mysterisstudios I mean the phones are relatively cheap, but these things use a lot of rare earth metals that are almost always mined by borderline slave labor. It's deeply unethical to buy a new phone every year.
No they haven't run out of major hardware updates, the big 2 (Samsung and Apple) just refuse to put in those big hardware updates. Meanwhile China is putting them in and pricing them logically. Like seriously, there is no reason Samsung or iphones should be charging as slow as they do.

I imagine there’s two things at play, either apple doesn’t think that making super fast charging phones is an immediate issue that will magically sell more phones, or they want to do it but are wasting time on other things.
@@AA-vi4hk If you've never used a Oneplus phone or any of the Chinese brands like Huawei or Xiaomi who have that super high speed charging.. No they don't overheat or get so hot that it dangerous or cause any harm. Far as Apple goes, it's more than likely they see it as a waste of time, because weel, fact of the matter is Apple fans will literally continue buying iphones despite it lacking pretty much everything that is up to date. So truth is, Apple really doesn't care.

I have a 14 PM, & didn't pop for the 15 last year, because there just didn't seem to be much reason to change. It sounds like I'm in the same boat with the 16. I am interested in the new iPad Air, so it might come down to a financial decision between the phone & iPad. I have an iPad Air 4, so it comes down to replacing my iPad with Apple silicon or dumping my current iPhone with a lightening port.

Increasing the phones has something to do with the max tdp the phones can handle and adding bigger cameras. They reached the limit to what they can do at the moment with 6.1 inch

Ok iphone ppl android owner here needing some advice and guidance. Never owned an iphone and looking to cross over, which version of the pro max should i get? Also looking at refurbished/used options cuz i dont wanna over extend myself on the $$ for a phone
Go for 15 pro Max
Hi long time Apple and Android user here. If you want to make the jump to Apple, I'd highly suggest just getting the newest device. If you were coming from let's say an iphone 12 or 13 I'd say don't, but new to iphone, go with the latest and greatest, which would be the 15 pro max. However, I'd also suggest the 14 pro/pro max, because there really wasn't much added to the 15 pro/pro max that the 14 couldn't do too.
Now all that said, be warned going to Iphone. Any sort of customizability enjoyed on an Android, you will be losing. On an iphone it is very VERY bare bones basic. Like the home screen of apps will automatically place them in rows and you can't have any gaps unless you put a widget between them. You lock screen and home screen wallpaper will be the same, you can't change that to have two different wallpapers. Swiping down to get to quick screen is different on iphone as well. swiping down right of the dynamic island bring down notifications while swiping left of the dynamic island bring up your quick toggles and even then, some of your quick toggles are in a folder that you'll have to press and hold just to get access to them, like hotspot for example. You don't have quick access to settings like android when you swipe from the top, you'll have to physically put the settings app on your home screen which just takes up space since you can't customize the home screen and increase the rows of how many apps you can place on the a single home screen page.
Like I said I've used both over the years and I do enjoy iphones and I am in no way bashing on Apple, but yeh, preparing you for a culture shock as you'll be losing out on a ton of features when switching from Android to Apple. Though the biggest annoyance I have with iphones, is even if you unlock your phone (face ID or pin) you have to swipe up to get to the home screen. There is no option to have it just go straight to the home screen after unlocking it. That's annoying as hell to me and wish Apple would fix that.
I am still using my 11 Pro Max 256 GB and considering maybe switching to iPhone 16. I upgraded from iPhone 4 to iPhone 6 Plus because of the screen size and I didn’t upgrade my 6 plus till iPhone 11 Pro Max came out and it was really only because my 6 plus was all beat up and screen had couple of probs. From freezing to the touch not working properly. However, my iPhone 11 Pro Max is currently in tip top shape (even when you take into account the couple of time I have dropped it, but always indoors and not from very high heights, unlike the 6 plus which I dropped several times out on the street lol) but it is 5 years old and the battery is not at its best so I need to decide if pay for battery replacement or upgrade 🤷🏻♂️🤔🤷🏻♂️ Idk…

I have a deep purple 14 pro max and I was thinking about getting a new phone this year bc I miss having a white/silver phone because that’s what I usually get but I’m thinking that I’ll wait another year for the redesign. only be a mistake if you get a new iphone. If you go new device, get a new Android device, and not saying sell the 14, get a second device, though will say that the fact the 14 pro/promax got rid of sim cards does make having a secondary device a bit annoying.

Space black is cool but jet black and matte black was one of my favorite colors! rose gold would be nice, even that coral color and last but not least that maroon burgundy color. A deep red would be excellent.
Btw, the iPhone 5S was the first iPhone with 64 bit processor, that's way bigger effort than any chassis change

If buttons are going to be capacitive then apple have option to incorporate touch id along face id
They have always had the ability for touch id. Just do what all android phones have done and just be in display, or put it in the power button like with the Foldable phones. This is just another example of Apple kicking and screaming about not wanting to add things they need to add.
Please check to see if AI will require more storage or memory this year and maybe best to get memory upgrade to handle next year AI ..... tks
