    As you know the skid plate makes it difficult for a quick oile change. When I was getting tires, I asked for a change as well. They said that a bolt was stripped, so didn't do it. Flash forward one week, and your video pops up in my feed. Thanks!

      Hi Bill! Glad it came in handy. I've gotten to where I really like this easy oil change method. My wife's BMW doesn't have an oil dipstick (only electronic oil level measurement) so I had to crawl under to do it. I'm a big boy and there isn't much room under those! If you do have cars you have to crawl under, check out the Fumoto valves. I've used them for 15 years and never had a problem. Due to very little clearance I used the motorcycle version (B109SX in this case) and it works great. Clip on the hose, flip the lever and the oil comes out! Glad you like the video! Drop me a thumbs up if you don't mind.

    Nice presentation my friend. Nice having a top side oil filter, no messy oil can to fiddle with. Enjoyed your very excellent presentation, Thank You for this practical demonstration..Cheers from New Hampshire!

    I've never seen one of those. Cool! I have changed oil before just not that way :)

      They come with extra hoses so you can actually use the dipstick tube as well. Unfortunately some cars don't even come with dipsticks any more!

    Hahaha...on Wynter's first Trek video she had a flyover from the USAF fighter jets out on maneuvers.

    Does it come with the hose and rubber end that you put zip ties on?

    • @BiggsWorld
      @BiggsWorld 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it does. I put the zip ties on because it wants to stick to the oil stem on the car instead of the hose. Then you have to get a pair of pliers and pull it off the car. It's a little annoying. The zipties seem to do the trick.

    how do you like using the liqui moly ? I want to try it in my 2011 lr4

    • @planetadkins195
      @planetadkins195  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It seems to work great. It's the only stateside oil that I could find that explicitly indicated that it met the LR oil criteria. Since I was still under an extended warranty (CPO) when I bought it, I used the Liquid Moly so not to get any grief from the dealership. I've just continued to use it, but at shortened change intervals (7500mi vs 15000 I think LR recommends). LR products are often thought to be a bit... fragile... So it's cheap insurance for me. In fact, thanks for reminding me - I need to do an oil change now. Ima head over and order it and the filter. I think I might even reduce that to 5000 miles as she's getting a bit older now, with about 120k miles on the clock.

    This is a really helpful video. Did you need to buy a separate attachment to hook up the tube to the port to extract the oil or did the vacuum kit come with everything you needed to do this?

    • @BiggsWorld
      @BiggsWorld ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Brian, it came with everything needed. It has several different hose sizes for use with different cars.

    DUDE YOUR LUBING THE NEW RINGS WITH DIRTY CONTAMINATED OIL.IF YOUR CHANGING OIL YOU HAVE BRAND NEW OIL

    • @planetadkins195
      @planetadkins195  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct, I probably should have used the new oil. But the o-ring isn't in the flow so I didn't think it would matter. Thanks for the suggestion!

    8 QUARTS HOW THATS WAY TO MUCH PLUS WHAT ABOUT THE OIL YOUR SUPPOSE TO BURN AND ALSO THE OIL FILTERS YET TRAPS AND BOXES OIL ALSO

    • @planetadkins195
      @planetadkins195  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not following your reasoning? The car requires 8.5 qts of oil (Technically 8 liters), so why is that too much? The oil filter is not a metal can like American cars so it holds very little oil when you change it. Plus it doesn't burn any oil that I can tell.

  • @user-hn8wm5xd9f
    @user-hn8wm5xd9f 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    DUDE YOUR DOING IT WAY TO OFTEN. IF YOU WERE ABLE TO EXTRACT THAT MUCH OIL AS MUCH AS YOU PUT IN SOMETHINGS WRONG. EITHER YOUR CHANGING TO EARLY. OR ADDING TO MORE EVERY WEEK. OIL BURNS YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 30 PERCENT OF IT USED

    • @planetadkins195
      @planetadkins195  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't add any oil between changes, and do the changes at around 7500 miles. I've NEVER owned a car that burned any significant portion of oil. The car holds 8 liters of oil (8.5 us qts) and 30% would be a whopping 2.5qts! I would be very very alarmed if I had a car that burned even 1 quart in 7500 miles.

      @jeffstrand601 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is so much wrong with this statement… you should definitely not use 30% of your oil

    • @asdkjk
      @asdkjk 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      30%, bro do you top off your trips to the gas station with a bit of engine oil to give it that toasty campfire smell
