Some sort of angle support will help the front & back wiggle. I think some additional folding bar would do. these kind of wheel stands are out for over decade now and I don't understand why they don't take that into cosideration.
Problem with standard NL 2 is it's too high. Unless you're sat on a tall, high back office chair, you cannot use the shifter arm/bracket. I had to lower the base so much... there's simply no room for the arm. So I bought a 70 buck bracket, attached it directly to the top plate, and then attached the small drilled bracket for the shifter, directly to that.
For using on a couch, would you go with this NL or the Track Racer stand? Using Fanatec DD extreme, love your videos and thank you for any suggestions.
Hi Shaun, I just ordered a Thrustmaster Ferrari Alcantara edition and pedals as it was on sale and would like to know what sim rigs I should be looking at mid price point like around the $500 to $700. Also on PC is it still iracing for the go-to sim racing software or is there anything else these days out there to have a look at? thanks mate from Australia!
Is it possible to remove the Wheel Base plate and the poles holding it? I prefer the chair cradle and the pedal section and use my own moza table mount to mount on my table for better stability.
Nice review, very honest and real. Ordered mine and will be here in a few days. Looking forward to getting off the desk. And I agree compared to every other standalone stand this one looks legit.
@@halloffamer332sammy6 Its quite stable when you tighten down the two allen bolts that the main brace swivels on. Overall quality is really good. Finish is really nice and pedals go on well. Its definitely well built and worked well with the pedals and wheel. However, I did end up returning the unit. Not so much because of the quality, but for 2 main issues: 1. The unit is quite heavy with all the gear on so its really hard to fold up and move out of the way when done. I wanted to hide it in the corner, but that really wasn't possible. It should have some wheels on the back that you can swivel the unit and roll it away. 2. Not as much of the unit's fault, but I found out my TV doesn't have game mode and the slight lag it induced really messed with the way the wheel worked/felt. Since I ended up moving the entire setup into my computer room it worked easier to just use the wheel right on my desk and not bother with a stand. One last thing to note, the lowest height for the main wheel bar isn't really that low, so if you want to upgrade to a rig with it in the future you might still need the seat to have a bit of height to it.
@@halloffamer332sammy6 It is quite stable. Even on full blast with the two allen screws tight and hand-tightening the back one the vertical bar didn't really budge. See my response though as to why I did ultimately end up returning the unit (heavy to move and my TV doesn't have game mode so was forced to setup my wheel at my computer desk).
So wanted to update that I did ultimately end up returning the unit for two reasons. First being that it is quite heavy with the wheels and pedals attached to the point that it isn't really portable to move it into the corner of the room after use. It really needs wheels up in the front near the pedal board you can rock the unit up on and roll it away after use. It was something I was considering adding, but the other issue I had was that it turns out my TV I was going to use it with didn't have a game mode, so the delay caused my wheel to not work well with the TV. So I just moved my wheelbase into my computer desk with the clamp and works great there, so no need for this stand which is why I returned it. If you are okay with adding wheels or will always leave it setup or don't mind a muscle work out to move this unit into the corner it is well-built and works great - super stable with my Moza R3 at full blast. But for my use case just clamping to my computer desk turned out to be what works for me.
I've been running the Wheel Stand Lite for about four years now, and it is a great wheel stand for the limited space I have. BUT my biggest gripe with it has always been the center post being right in front of the pedals. I'm glad that the new version has remedied this issue. I will most definitely be picking this up in the near future 🤙
I have the wheel stand 2.0 and this just seems better in every way. Sure my current stand can install much stronger wheel but for my needs 5nm is perfect. I do want this
Thanks for the comprehensive review! I'm seriously considering this as a budget upgrade to my Playseat Challenge that just isn't comfortable anymore.

Thanks for sharing, Shaun! We always love to hear your feedback!
you need to upgrade the wiring in the haptic seat pad ive bought two and both lost 2 transducers £400 down the drain
Good job Shaun , as usual
man, this would be perfect for someone gettin into it or someone short on space. perfect for the 5-8nm base
Exactly! Plus, there will be an opportunity to turn it into a full cockpit in the near future!
@@NextLevelRacingyou guys need to make wheel stands out of aluminum profile instead!
I got zero room for a sig rig. So this perfect for me

Can I use this with a sim magic alpha mini and have a good experience?
Hello there. Will this work with logitech g pro?

They should just sell the chair craddle-pedal plate section separately.
Anyone got the overall dimensions when folded up? Checking storage size required.
Thanks bro 👍

how is it, is it stable?

Next level says 10nm max so that's it's positive with 12nm base is great
I'm thinking about running this with a Logitech pro wheel at my gf's and wondering if it would handle it.
Seems really wobbly up top when you steer
Yeah, he says something very different to what everyone clearly sees on the video.
@@adriansoul7223 he says that you can't feel it and it wasn't distracting, not that it doesn't move...
I have a profile wheel stand from sim labs. I modded the fuck out of it.
