This is an amazing SUV! I actuall went to Mercedes, Audi, BMW, and Land Rover dealership and the BMW was by far the best put together car I ever sat in.

Sam._.Buswell ; I Believe they have, number one complaint from BMW owners, so BMW went back to the old school indicator stalks for new models coming out
I love the "strange" BMW turn signals, no need to fix them. More convenient once you get used to them.
Tony Knox I think the only way this would work is with the dashboard and infotainment system having two huge buttons one to turn left and one to turn right 😂
Wasn't even aware BMW still included turn signals in their cars.
they have fixed it . got the car yesterday and is fantastic.

Good review, but I really wish you had offered comments about the M Sport package. It’s unclear to me whether the suspension dampening offered in the 40 model you drove, is upgraded with the M Sport option. Comment?

My XDrive 40i's LED light looked like a half hexagon C shape, I've never see a 1/3 hexagon shape LED light. Is the Canadian BMQ different from other countries?

Awsome review, I love the new X5 and I love my current 2011 X5 50i, with 400hp/450 foot pounds of torque, but the new 40i 6cyl is faster and get better fuel mileage, that's very nice

2:05 The n55 isn’t twin turbo... it’s twin power turbo, making it a single turbo
Aka one turbo with two scrolls :)
While it's still a twin scroll turbo, all 40i models utilize the B58 I6 (successor to N55), not the N55 anymore. So, 2019+ X5's with the I6 use the B58 :)

The twin turbo diesel in the older models are a beast when you tune it. They will put out around 400whp and 600 lb torque.

Ohhh almost forgot, the hp #,s are more than advertised for the 3 liter turbo motor ( very good durable motor)

I believe the x40i has a twinscroll single turbo, Parker. You said twin turbo, but the "twin power" marketing for bmw is referring to the exhaust cycle. I also believe that the only twin turbo inline 6 they produce is the S55 engine for mseries cars

its 10000 percent single turbo. b58 engine i believe, same as the supra, and any 40 series car in the lineup.

Great review! I build the "Ultimate Driving Machine", here in Spartanburg, SC. If you ever have a chance to come, take the tour! (There is a fee, fyi), the amazing machine, is built by nearly 10,000 employees (Yes... thats TEN THOUSAND employees!!!). The process is amazing, and mostly still "hand crafted" or "hand assembled".... unlike alot of American vehicles. The X7 is going to be the next "Wow" vehicle, but it will (unfortunately) be VERY high priced...
One of the best reviews I've seen in quite a while. It's an impressive machine.

It’s not twinturbo charged. It’s a single turbo (twin scroll turbo) works at low rpm and high rpm

X5 Gen 3 owner here. I love my X5 but one point of criticism: the acoustic glass is prone to pitting from road debris. Otherwise, my 2018 X5 35i is a great real SUV and 2019 is even nicer.
