    I love everything about your style and colour palette. The first pair of trousers (green ones) and the brown trench I really love. I’ve recently fallen in love with linen.
    I don’t really travel but my go to garments if I go out are Tilly and the buttons Indigo dress and the Sew House 7 Remy Raglan top that I turned into a dress. Currently making the Closet Core Nicks dress/top which will be a staple.

    Such a lovely me-made capsule presentation! I agree with you on your choice of the Pomona’s pants, their proportions are beautiful, and they are universally flattering. As a long-torso person too, I find that they give a very nice silhouette. I am glad I made ones, and they are my favorite on a hot summer day ;))

    Great summer packing list! I just returned from a week in Montreal with one day in Hudson NY. I packed many similar silhouettes from my me-made wardrobe (ES Florence Pants, Georgia tee, Criswood sews long envelope dress, Fibremood Tanita top) and was extremely comfortable with them while also having room to style them with accessories (Panama hat, crossbody bag,etc.) and a couple of store bought items (like white jeans). Love your videos!🌞

    Your travel capsule is so versatile! I eventually want to make a linen duster, it elevates any outfit. Do you know the weight of the linen you used for yours? I like a mix of pants with tops and dresses for traveling -- patterns like the Free-Range slacks, Kalle shirt/dress or Gallery dress, and knit Jackson tee, as well as various loose woven tops. The new Closet Core Crew patterns would be great for a travel capsule. I find woven tops in linen, cotton double gauze or voile to be cooler than knit t-shirts. I also like linen-rayon blend fabrics because they are easily "pressed" by being folded neatly in my suitcase and hang dry quickly. Thanks for sharing!

      @cleow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for sharing these pattern names and the fabrics you like! I did throw in a woven - a light cotton button down - for exactly what you mentioned, so I am glad you shared this about tops! Great question about the linen, it is 7oz, and this is a link to the fabric fabrics-store.com/fabrics/linen-fabric-4C22-ginger-softened-heavy?Related+Products&Users&Pattern+Fabric

      @@cleow You're welcome! I have used a lot of the Fabrics-Store linen but not this one. I had wondered how the heavy weight would be for a jacket, either a duster or a chore coat style. I appreciate the tip and I love the color your picked!

    Hello. I always take a long sleeves buttoned shirt. Very practical over a t-shirt, a dress and a bathing suit. And you are so rights: linen fabric has wrinkles so we have to accept it and live with it! This is what I do. My summer wardrobe is all linen. Just found your channel and I love it. Have a good day. I love your trench coat!!! i need one haha

    such good inputs. I live in northern Italy and I travel for work in Germany, during winter is SO difficult to decite what to pack. I normally end up chosing layering up, bamboo turtle neck with a merino pullover and hope for the sun (who am I kidding...). Wool crepe black Tapioca trousers are perfect either for a formal dinner or a work day in a cold country during winter. I'm considering adding more linen bottoms for this summer.

    • @cleow

    Hello Cleo 😊. Your channel is so relaxing and just so beautiful. I really love the brown linen duster you made. I was just wondering if you thought I could hack the Heather blazer into that simplicity pattern. I have the Heather and I have never used it. I’m thinking I’d have to not line it , put pockets on the side and not on the front. And lengthen it. What do you think?

    • @cleow
      @cleow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! And this is a good question-I think you can definitely hack the Heather blazer but I haven’t made it myself. If I were to give that a try, I’d look up some folks who didn’t line it and see what worked well. The Simplicity pattern has a facing that covers up a lot of the seams inside the collar, similar to the Pona Jacket by Helen’s Closet (if you happened to check that out!)

    • @imsewblessed1578
      @imsewblessed1578 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cleow ahh. Okay, I doubt I could draft a facing for the coat. Good information. I’ll just order the pattern. Thank you.

    Great video!
    Maybe you said it, but what fabric is the Pomona? I'm seeking exactly this kind of pattern, but that would be very lightweight and breathable... That could be used as a pijama as well...

    • @cleow
      @cleow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes great question! It is linen, ordered from fabrics-store.com. The Pomona pattern is great because it has two leg width options. I chose the widest leg shown here. It also has instructions to make shorts.
