How nice to hear that your reading year is going so well! And that you got your copy of that lovely graphic novel back in fine form!
Thank you! The graphic novel is really lovely, but now I’m trying to figure out a way to unload it optimally. 🤔
Well played. I love your subtle dig ("I hate you, a-hole!")
Needless to say I am enjoying _Sicilian Vespers_ and appreciate the “nudge” - in fact I have more Runciman on the way.
@@davidnovakreadspoetry Thriftbooks says my copy is in the mail. My Louise Gluck arrives today. She scares me.
Terrific tag video, David. I’m gearing up for True Grit myself. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts about it. I also want to read the new Morgan Talty. Just FYI, my poetry video today is dedicated, in part, to you and all your feline friends who frequently appear in your videos (just in case TH-cam doesn’t notify you.😊) Take care, David, and try to stay cool.
Ah, thank you! I saw that earlier, and left a comment with link - but our internet has gotten real spotty and apparently it never posted. (TH-cam often omits to notify me but I saw it anyways.) Incidentally, Everyman’s Library has Pocket Poets editions devoted both to cats and to dogs.
@@davidnovakreadspoetry I will look for those! Thanks, David! I know a lot of people that I’m tagging on things are not getting notifications. Your comment has now appeared. Thank you! 😊
This time of year again for this tag already haha, definitely one of the better perennial ones we do I feel! Thanks for DNFing Hugo, another excuse for me to avoid some Classics haha.
How my DNFing gives you an excuse…🤔🤔🤔
@davidnovakreadspoetry I look for any reason to not read Classics so if someone I like their thoughts on books dnfs one that's all I need lol, nothing serious
I hope I don't burn out on Les Miserables and give up on it. I guess time will tell. I'm going to start reading True Grit in a few days as soon as I'm done with the Zane Grey novel. Five more chapters.
It sounded like you were making steady progress with _Les Mis._
