I spoil the plot of Hughes’s book entirely - if you wish to skip over to Runciman that discussion begins at about 20:58
Those are some interesting reads, thanks for the update David! I've been mostly on a romance novel binge(/detox) of late after burning out on Bioshifter. I'll hopefully be reading some nonfiction during the last half of the month.
I had to look up Bioshifter - it drew me in (the preview) but it might be a little too intense for me. 🤔
Runciman and Kimmerer in the same video? Fantastic! Glad you read Braiding Sweetgrass. I can see how some essays are definitely stronger than others for sure. Nice vid David
Two of the best surnames together! If I had a physical copy at hand I might’ve been more clear.
Don't be such a Guelph, Dave. You opened The Sicilian Vespers and said ohmyohmyohmy. It should be prioritized not back burnered. Read it a chapter a day and share it. We deserve that much.
At least I might learn what a Guelph is. 😂
“Don’t be such a Guelph” - HAH! Oh my God, I love the collection of wonderful weirdos that is BookTube …
