I use the ratchet blade in my Curio and it's a good blade. I just bought the craft blade to kind of figure out what you do with it. I know it's to cut thicker materials but what do I want to cut? I just bought it.

I bought the Premium blade. What settings do I use for it.? There is only Autoblade, Ratchet blade and Deep cut blade in the settings

I love my autoblade. Cuts through everything I have thrown at it and I use cameo 4. Worked right out of the box.

Hi friend! Thanks so much for your posts!! Quick question...can I set my manual blade at 1 1/2 (1.5)?? Or does it have to be on a whole number??

You can put it in between but you can also set it to the lower number and set the "Passes" to 2 which is kind of a way to get that .5 deeper blade

Is there a better way to ask questions then on random vidoes? I got my cameo 4 and in the design studio I see video after video clicking this little icon for cut settings depending on the image/text and tool bar along the top and mine is just on the side and that icon is nowhere to be found! Please help! tia

I think the side is the newer version. You probably can't find some stuff if you haven't upgraded your studio to design or business.

HELP: I unboxed by new Cameo 4 which I bought a month ago and this is the problem: firmware needs updating (1.03) I plugged in the usb cable as directed, clicked on update now - it flashes other instructions, such as do not turn off; however, nothing happens - I left on overnight thinking it was working in the background. I then downloaded the firmware and extracted to my desktop; however, after following the direction from the website - I get an error message after clicking ok please when it tells me to connect and power on - the error message I get is "Error, please check connection with Cameo" - I don't know what or where else to go. I have restarted in between each attempt.

I just got a ratchet blade. I have a Cameo 4 which I have had trouble getting to cut with auto blade. I just opened it followed your suggestions. But it didn't cut so I looked at it and I don't see a blade at all no matter what its set on. Thanks

I hate the ratchet blade. I had it with my Silhouette Cameo 2 & it was a disaster. It messed up every project I tried to do.

You make it look so easy, I can't get my ratchet blade to fit in the black sleeve it's supposed to fit in! Terrible design!
